Thats a good sound to hear. It tests itself on the second engine start (as you hear at the 3:18 mark). It means the Power Transfer Unit is functioning properly.

Have they drastically reduced SJU flights after last year's hurricane? I was just looking at schedules this summer from BOS and JFK and it they seemed to have fewer flights than during previous summers.
We took Jet Blue from Lax to Palm Beach. Great airline, super service. The return trip when changed to Southwest at St. Louis. Southwest is a joke. Will never flr them, again.
can some one explain to me what that sound is at 2:12 POP sound before the engine starts up ive always wondered what that is? Im assuming it could be linked to the apu when the flight deck hits the engine start button?
Im going to the Dominican Republic in 11 days on the same airline. I am going completely by myself without the help of flight attendants at age 14. :) :) :) :) :) :)
Yeah lol if you check out my channel I have a video of that plane landing but in Ponce lol. Ponce's runway is pretty short and the pilots put plenty of brake into it😂
A lot of people have been trying to get me to go!! I'm going to try for next month. -- By the way, got the safety briefing in after hearing so much about why I never include it Lol!
Thanks for your videos! I'm curious as to why on all your flights landing in San Juan why the hell everyone claps?? Were all the flights rough; the landings seemed smooth. Take care....
Al Tyson lol I fly to Puerto Rico and everyone claps during landing because it's their home country and they are happy to be back safe. If they land in the United States they don't clap for shit lol
WE CLAP DUE TO TRADITION SINCE 1955 WHEN PAN AMERICAN WORLD AIRWAYS USED TO OPERATE THE SUPERCONSTELLATION FROM ORIGINAL SAN JUAN AIRPORT WHERE IT USED TO DEPART FROM ISLA GRANDE. FLIGHTS USED TO DEPART ISLA GEANDE AT 10P.M. APPROX ARRIVING JFK APROX 06:00 A.. WHICH IT WAS CALLED BACK THEN IDELEWILD INTERNATIONAL . FLIGHTS WERE RED EYES AT NIGHT SND EXTREMELY BUMPY AND ONCE IT LANDED AT IDELWILD AIRPORT PUERTO RICAN PASSENGERS WOULD CLAP THANKING THE COCKPIT CREW FOR THE SAFE JOURNEY AND FOR GREAT LANDING. TODAY WE CLAP BECAUSE WE ARE HAPPY THAT WE ARE BACK HOME, CHRISTMAS , NEW YEARS, ETC. I FIND IT WONDERFUL THAT PUERTORICAN PASSENGER KEPT THIS TRADITION SINCE FLYING TODAY IS VERY STRESSFUL. SO PLEASE WHEN YOU ASK WHY WE CLAP, DON'T USE THE WORD HELL, WE ARE GRATEFUL FOR THE BEAUTIFUL FLIGHT AND WE MADE IT SAFELY DUE TO THE GREAT COCKPIT CREW. WE WENT THRU 9/11 AND LOTS OF OTHER THINGS. SO WHEN YOU FLY, PLEASE BE GRATEFUL THAT THE COCKPIT CREW AND THE FLIGHT ATTENDANTS MADE YOU COMFORTABLE TO TAKE YOU TO OUR ENCHANTED ISLAND OF THE CARIBBEAN. ENJOY YOUR DAY.
Thats a good sound to hear. It tests itself on the second engine start (as you hear at the 3:18 mark). It means the Power Transfer Unit is functioning properly.
I recently took.a.j et blue.flight.from.LGB- SFO and they stated to the passengers to keep th e shades down, does anyone know the real reason for this.
That's the PTU (Power Transfer Unit)! I love that sound on start up and shut down. Funny thing .. the noise is also known as the "barking dog" noise because that's what it sounds like. I hope you had an awesome Cleveland flight.
That's why I was recording from the left. So I can get a view of the terminal and other aircraft taxi'ing on the roll out landing, but I got surprised with this runway assignment too.
Puerto Rico! Beautiful Island
Thanks
Love those long runways at JFK. LGA is a parking lot.
Lol ngl it's actually true
LaGuardia is geographically smaller in size but still packs of punch in the aviation industry as it has an incredible amount of air traffic
@@tmalone2530 I had a hard landing in 737-800 and the pilot who was quite experienced told me “ big plane, short runway “
The spool up sound of the engine from 2:30 to 4:20 is orgasmic. Beautiful
I'm glad im not the only person who thinks this
Omg it. Is just makes me feel so hype an happy like the feeling is omg idek
Oo sameeee
Interesting verbiage
A beautiful day for flying...clear skies

It's the air-start valve flap opening to send air into the engine starter.
@@andersonrodriguez8258 Nope. Good guess though. It's the air-start valve opening to send air into the engine starter.
that was powerful.
i love to go puerto rico!

VIVA PUERTO RICO ❤❤❤❤🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷
Viva Puerto Rico!
Does JetBlue operate out of gate B6 at any airport?
Not that I know of!
At the beginning I heard that sqeaking/ barking noise and I recently flew to Cleveland and we heard that same noise so I'm thinking it was a dog
That's the PTU (Power Transfer Unit)! I love that sound on start up and shut down. Funny thing .. the noise is also known as the "barking dog" noise because that's what it sounds like. I hope you had an awesome Cleveland flight.

I've been working a lot! Once I get some free time, I'll hop on a flight and put something in the works! I'm really glad you like my videos!
The airbus a320 series do that barking sound I love that sound too
Cómo Cuánto duró el avión a llegar a Puerto Rico

2:20 engine starts
btw they usually land on 10 now wonder why 08 was used
That's why I was recording from the left. So I can get a view of the terminal and other aircraft taxi'ing on the roll out landing, but I got surprised with this runway assignment too.
yea
When i went last week i was near the airport and i kept seeing jetBlues using that runway to land. Maybe its to decrease traffic on runway 10 :?
And they always take off at runway 8
Was that the international side of jfk you left from
at 24:06 it sounds like a train braking
Short runway
What Flight? B603 Or B61403?
