I was thinking of using some wire fencing or cow panels to add additional support instead wood.

      Hello Viewer
Here is something to consider when trying different materials that are at hand. The wire could have sharp points and depending upon the the thickness could sag, now 6x6 welded wire for cement is strong, but HEAVY. The metal panels are a start toward a Quonset shed and they stand up but are not easy to do.

I just bought one of these and live in an area prone to snow. It will be used to store a car. I thought about fastening a rainfly to catch snow above the shelter, do you think that will work?

Why do you remove the panels in the spring? Why not just leave them up year round?

Sorry about the late reply, I am new at this channel. I remove the panels in the spring because the 2 shelters site in my driveway and I take the entire structure down in the spring. If you look at the new videos which are 1 year late it shows them coming down.

How wide is the round shelter at 4' height?
Any difference between both shelters at this height?

Hello Ben I do not really have any dimensions, all I can say it depends upon what you want to do with the shelter, If you look at my site you will see a extra support that I added this year to stiffen the shelter. I am working on upgrading to a better cover system as you will see in my other videos. For the round brown one I bought a 18 ft x 42 ft hay tarp cover when I need to replace it. On my SUV I am moving away from Shelter Logic covers and reusing their frame with much stronger cover as you will see in my videos. Craig Clayton

i bought the bigger one #62693. this thing is a peice of crap. i bought this last april 30th 2018 and it had holes in the roof 6 months later. today i went out the roof had torn in half down the length of the tent and left all my crap out for the neighbors to gawk at. the frame seems built well, and i anchored down solid but the tarp is the worst. now that i am taking it down the top that was in the sun was brittle, crumbling in my hands and falls apart worse than wet paper. it also tears more easily than a sheet of the thinnest paper known to man. piss on this thing

We are very sorry to hear about this! Fabric life is affected by application, location and the physical elements the shelter is exposed to. All of our shelters include a minimum one year warranty and if your cover tears within that time period we suggest filing a claim and having that reviewed and possibly replaced by the corresponding department. We also offer many replacement cover options, including heavier materials that may have longer warranties and life expectancies which might better suit your needs. If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to call us at 1-800-932-9344.

You must not take care of your stuff very well, I have had my shelter logic for 3 years now, original cover, a few tiny holes here and there from clearing the snow off the roof but that’s it.
