That course is fantastic!!! The sky bridge section is crazy. I completely agree with you regarding the jumpy ESC and the drag brake. I found that since upgrading the capra, the drag brake feels virtually non existent which really hurts the driving experience.

It’s so fun! Can’t imagine all the effort they put into this course. They always change things up too which is so cool. I did see someone put a hobbywing 1080 ESC in one of these and a spektrum receiver. I might run that set up until furitek comes out with an epic 380 brushless combo 😍

You can adjust the drag brake on the stock esc real easily

Really? How so? Spektrum programmer or some button system?

@@midwestern_rc while the truck is on, there’s a pin on the esc plugged in for forward/reverse. Pull it out and push it back in and watch the number of led flashes on esc. The more flashes the stronger it is.

I just got mine yesterday. Its fun but wish it was a little more versatile. Is there any mods or parts that can increase the speed? Also what upgrades would you recommend for someone who is new to the hobby and this rig?

So it’s kind of counterproductive to make a crawler faster. 99% of the time people re gear them to slow them down actually. Removing the spring perches to lower the center of gravity will help a lot with keeping it stable and being able to crawl better. Some brass portal covers up front will also help. And wheels and tires will make the most notable difference. I went with amazon 1.55” beadlocks and proline TSL super swampers for tires

@@midwestern_rc thank you! So should i not be concerned with aftermarket gears and drive lines? i don’t imagine being hard on it. Just using it for what its made for. Thanks again buddy

@@callsignmohas5190 so the CVDs up front are prone to breaking. Dlux RC makes an upgraded set (100$). Or just be wary of when the wheels are at full steering angle and under higher torque situations. If you want better crawling performance and a better turning radius as well you can get overdrive portal gears for the front axle. Very cheap and simple upgrade to do.

@@ron7836 do you don’t have to watch it again you lift the spring up and then push the spring perch up a little then just slide it out. It’ll sit a lot lower and won’t tip as much
