GOD her belt in "MEEEEMoryyy" at 3:50 is so insanely resonant it fills the performance hall and distorts the camera mic audio slightly. THAT is how you BELT. If it isn't filling the performance hall, you aint doin it right!

her belt on "All alone in the memory" is PERFECT
having seen her live doing Memories, in the show, it is the singularly best performance I have heard in a musical. Total silence and huge applause at the end it was just magical and awesome. I will never forget it as long as I live.

She sung the note so emotional and resonant at the same time it pierces your heart and makes you cry.
I love her so much more in theatre, than I do in the pop world. She should stay an actress for the stage :) so much talent!

I actually felt some pain here while listening to nicole, to the point that i am teary eyed, on the other hand i did not feel anything with leona's performance, leonas voice is good but i can not feel the sorrow that the song is conveying with her singing, i prefer nicoles performance it seems like her heart is breaking...

I‘ve recently fallen in love with CATS (after having seen it in Vienna 2 weeks ago), and have been binge-watching different versions of Memory since then. This is by far the best version I have heard! Nicole Scherzinger is an amazing singer and I am so glad I‘ve come across this video. Really inspires me to work much harder on this song in my choir where I‘m the soloist for Memory...

She grew up as a Hawaiian dancer from her mother and then moved to the states and grew up doing musical theatre. Performance is in her blood. She initially tried making it as a solo artist numerous times before joining the Pussycat Dolls.
This is my favorite version of Memory.

She can make upwards of $1 million a year on X Factor, so its understandable that she would choose media exposure and her career over /potentially/ winning a Tony.

Absolutely one of my favorite songs from Cats. My brother-in-law is involved in theatre and both times they did Cats they had an amazing Grizabella (it was also by far one of their most popular productions, with every show, even the Thursday evening opening night, selling out, and the hand made, including some by me, leg warmers, arm warmers and tails that at one point were made for other productions to sell as fundraisers). Only reason they didn't do it a third time is that there was either a revival on Broadway or the touring company was in the area

Personally, I prefer her to Leona in this role, she puts so much more emotion into her voice (though both have great voices) She's not Elaine Paige or Betty but she did this amazing role justice
Eleanore Pavelle Nicole puts more emotion in her voice. Leona sings it like a little innocent kitten, her voice sounds way too young and she doesn't have this kind of volume and breath control you need, whereas Nicole has this sobbing in her voice that makes you wanna cry - no matter what the song is about. But it's your opinion anyway😄 I like both.

iiSirLeonard RBLX Grizabella isn't a kitten who is so shy and innocent as Leona sings it. Nicole has this sobbing in her voice and you can really FEEL the pain. In Leonas version I personally don't really believe that every word is meant like it is supposed to. That is no hate, I absolutely love both performances💚 They are not comparable...

Honestly. To those saying she doesn't look old enough to play Gris, I don't think it's a win situation all of the time with casting. It's not just about the looks, and your voice doesn't necessarily mean your age. Some people have a voice that you think would belong to someone older, yet they're like a mere teenager.
To those who don't approve of pop stars taking to musical theatre and beyond, I disapprove with their point of view. I respect stars who are more flexible and versatile who prove they aren't mere symbols of one genre.
Sure, they will sound different to most who never sung pop and so on, but the choice is theirs to make and I respect them for it :)

+Nat's Life This is the only way we'll have record of these performances. Broadway producers are way too short-sighted to actually record and release these performances on video or CD (other than the 'original cast album' which is only recorded once by the first cast). I actually applaud the people recording these as we may never get to see these performances or have a history of them otherwise.
oh, I'm glad somebody recorded it, I mean, I am peruvian and london isn't that close. I was there a month ago but I don't think I'll be going back any soon. I only got to see Les Mis, I'm not complaining (those were the best 3 hours of my life) but it is still not enough :( naughty people recording and youtube are my only conection to musical theatre:(
