Thank you for speaking about your experience with perimenopause. My mom & my older sister have passed away so I literally have no one to go to & ask questions about what I can expect.
thank you so much for being here and your comment . yes it does help having someone to talk to or to listen to their experience , women have this tend and befriend aspect to our nature and need other women for support.. glad you found this channel and i hope it can help you in the way you need, love lisaxx
Hi Lisa. I must say that I am very glad to be through both the perimenopause and menopause. You speak a real truth when you say that things that we have pushed down inside of us year after year after year, because our lives are full and full on, do come and bite us. Childhood trauma came roaring back like a wild animal after menopause and I had no option other than to face it and deal with it. My body and mind wouldn't let me keep it locked away in a box anymore. Really important aspect of the change in us as women. Its a hard time and we have to give ourselves grace and be kind to all the parts that make us who we are. Take care 🧡
Thank you Kay for sharing 🌈✨ I know I'm just at the beginning however it feels like I'm about to enter a fierce storm.. thanks so much for being here and voicing your truths too 🙏✨
I think our generation and culture was raised to believe if we aren’t constantly working we are lazy. As women I think it’s so tough to make time for ourselves. Often I actually feel guilty for being “unproductive” and resting. When I start to have those feelings I ask myself what behavior do I want to model for my daughter. Almost always I realize I want her to see me taking care of myself and honoring my body/needs. I’m still learning how to find balance in my life but at least now I’m not always feeling less than because of my productivity level🥴. It’s certainly not perfect, but it is progress!
Oh my goodness this hit home for me. I totally get it. I agree with you on the whole "your body is letting you know". I wish it wasn't screaming at me though. 😅 PMD has become so much worse. I'm totally different person. Forgetfulness, brain fog, fatigue, aches and pains and the horrible sweats. I now have a planer that I call my brain and if I don't write it down in there it just disappears in to thin air of my brain's Bermuda triangle... sometimes I even forget things on the go. The list goes on. I too feel like I'm chasing my tail, like I can't keep up and there is no more winning in life, just existing and trying to catch my breath. It is not just days flying by, months fly by now. And I have years of this to look forward too. I'm trying to get through it with self kindness and compassion, but it is hard as things on my plate just keep pilling higher. I understand now why so many middle aged women just snap, for now I resort to biting my lip not to do the same. I wonder if I'll ever feel normal and good again. Focusing on good moments helps and I'm trying to make them my priority. Sending my love.
Thank you for always sharing you with us Lisa! Im glad you’re speaking on this topic, because there’s not a lot of information for women on this topic, it definitely needs more awareness. Sending big hugs your way! ❤
Your body and mind go through lots and lots of changes I will be 54 next week and I’ve been in this menopause for 4 years it’s been really hard doctors kept pushing hrt I didn’t want that I started on a herbal journey somethings work some didn’t as a full time carer it’s been really hard some days I just want to lie in bed but obviously I have to keep going I now take an afternoon break rest maybe have a sleep or I get out and walk just to blow the cobwebs away and yes hubby nearly ended up under the patio 🤣🤣 just take your time with yourself speak to your mum about when she went through it and just breathe 🙏💕🌹
hey, thank you , you made me laugh when you said about your hubby under the patio, johns crunching this morning was enough to send the blood boiling! My mum went through menopause at 34, she had a hysterectomy. i was a teenager and remember it well! as I carer to I get what you are saying, the ON button is always ON! love you and thanks so much for being here!
This resonates deeply. I don't know what the answer is, but my life feels unsustainable trying to manage it as I have in the past. Maybe we're more able to grind it out or have more energy before pre peri? I have days where everything feels so overwhelming and like I'm losing my mind. Trying to figure out how to live more purposefully and slowly while balancing the requirements of life is where I'm at right now. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Lisa, how adorable is Oscar 😊. My boys are black and white too ❤. I am going tbrough perimenopause and dont I know it. The worst bit for me is the flushes. My cheeks are pretty much always beetroot now, and it really gets to me, especially when everyone points it out. Brain fog is a biggy, too, for me and mood swings. I tried HRT but didn't like it, so I stopped x
