    Cliff notes:

    2️⃣ Butter
    3️⃣ Steak + Seasoning
    4️⃣ More butter
5️⃣ Cook ’til you see blood - Flip
6️⃣ Cook ‘til you see blood - Eat
    Enjoy!

You got me using my cast iron pans again, but I've been cooking my steaks in bacon grease. If you have sweet taters, baked in microwave, peeled, halved and fried in the steak/bacon grease, yum yum!

I think you would really enjoy cooking on a combination gas and wood fired cooking stove . One half you have your gas and the other side you start your wood fire and cook away just like in the old days . Doubles as a extra heater for your house . I believe it would go great with your farmer lifestyle .

I can not believe you like this way over the BBQ !! i'm sure it is as good as it looks in a pan with butter but no way that would beat being cooked on a BBQ with lots of BBQ sauce . I seen people out in minus 20 outside in a snow storm just to BBQ there meat here in Canada. We love y'all up here in Canada . You got mud we got snow and then mud under that for a long time to long of time .Ok stay positive I keep on the quiet side because winter here not so good Y'all .

Pro Tip: Cook an extra steak, remove and let it cool then put in refrigerator. Leave all the rendering from the steak/butter in the iron skillet and let it cool, stick back in oven once the oven is cool. The next morning, reheat your steak in the skillet, then fry your eggs in the same skillet. Best steak and egg breakfast you'll ever eat.

Pan fried or grilled is the only way to cook a steak. If you haven't ever tried them, you should try Everglades Original and Everglades Heat, They are really good spices, Heat if you like a little spiciness, or just the original if you're not into spicy things. They have others also, like one for Chicken and fish.

I don't have any choice. I remember my childhood. I may have traveled so much since I joined the army that I don't have an accent any more but I was born in AL and grew up in AL, TX, FL, & TN. But spent the most time in FL. Country FL. I've never been a farm boy or farm man, but my family was poor when I was a child and we lived on a ranch in TX where we even had an outhouse. It took me years to get my wife to believe me.
I have traveled so much I have no accent at all. I currently live in California, but I've been in over have of the US. And here's the easiest way to measure it. Cut the US in half strait across and I've been in and lived in almost all of the bottom. Then almost the all of what people call the south too and Michigan, Montana, Idaho.
And I probably am missing some.
And the countries I've been in are... Germany, Korea, Iraq, Kuwait. And I know I'm missing at least one more of those I just don't remember the name of it right now, but probably more too.
I was in the army for 10 years. 2 different wars, and 3 different times. A total of a year each deployment.
My 2nd deployment to Iraq I got a brain injury and now I have seizures. Otherwise I would have done my whole 20 before retirement. But getting that wound was definitely to my benefit because it helped me become a True Christian.

Question: if you used garlic butter would the butter burn in the pan, I heard garlic and cast iron pans don't like each other very much......

    • @ThisFarmWife_
      @ThisFarmWife_  5 лет назад

I have never had trouble using garlic, but if you saute it too long by itself, it will burn, as it would in any pan I would think.

5 min on each side for me is a good steak . which we have to find a new butcher this year we took off 2 steers and they weighted about 1300 pounds a piece and got one back maybe . They give one away bi mistake but they paid for it , I was mad as a bull seeing red lol
