  • I'm Big John and started my weight loss journey in May of 2023 with a process of fasting practices that gave me some fantastic results. In time I realized I needed something else and started doing Keto which quickly turned into a KetoVore/Carnivore Lifestyle. My Carnivore Journey started in September 2023 and has been on going. Losing weight when asleep is an easy to figure out technique I've been using, and I learned how when I practiced fasting techniques. It would be impossible to explain everything that has happened. Weekly weight loss updates help keep me on track. This is week 50 of my weight loss journey and it's with the help of Carnivore/KetoVore eating principles. I'm still losing inches along with some pounds. These videos are my personal testimony from my experience.

      For sure! It's been cloudy and chilly the last couple of days and still no rain. Everything will turn green and lush after the first rain. 🙏 It'll also look less depressing. 😀

      It's a little brown but still beautiful. Everything will explode up with green and tremendous undergrowth soon. Usually after the first rain 🌧️☔.

    You and your wife ROCK. This is great therapy and exercise. Beautiful, love your journey. Only a suggestion, you should get some hiking boots. It would make your journeys a little more comfortable 🥰

      Mylene and I both say thank you. This was a hard one to capture because her camera stopped recording part way through 🥹. We had a wonderful time even with the slippery yucky ground. Hiking boots were something I have to place on hold for a short while as my feet have changed throughout the process of losing so much weight. 😯

    We've stopped there a few times on our way to Eklutna.
    We used to camp at Eklutna a lot.
    I heard you don't have access to go to the back side of Eklutna lake any longer. Is that true?
    You talked about Hatcher Pass, nice.
    We used to take the Ski-doo's up there and have a blast.

      I've never been to Ekluna lake yet so I guess we'll have to put it on the list for things to experience 🤠. Hatcher pass Willow side my favorite place to explore and hang out. Plus the wife and I both have Jeeps now 😃

    I never did hike this trail before when I lived in Anchorage. I used to hike Flat top to get ready for goat hunting, and trails between Anchorage and Girdwood sometimes. So I’m back in town for softball in the vally and had some time yesterday morning, so hiked up to the falls with my wife. It was a fun, morning, get the blood pumping venture. Thanks for pointing this trail out.

    • @BigManAlaska
      @BigManAlaska  5 месяцев назад

      I thought it was crazy steep on the first part but I don't really go out hiking much. Hiking flat top sounds like fun and I was wondering how it compares?

    • @KodiakCarnivore
      @KodiakCarnivore 5 месяцев назад +1

      Flat top is longer, the lower section that you start on from the parking lot is easier if you go up the left side, and back on the right. Or you could go up and back on the left. It’s called blueberry loop. The section that goes from blueberry loop up to the top of flat top gets steep at the top, but not for that long. You need to kind of hang on with both hands. But that’s only right before you break out on top. I would like to hike power line pass to GirdWood trail sometime.

    • @BigManAlaska
      @BigManAlaska  5 месяцев назад

      @KodiakCarnivore I'm also looking at some trails in Eagle River to try. One ends up at another waterfall and I think there's a trail at the top of Skyline drive.

    • @KodiakCarnivore
      @KodiakCarnivore 5 месяцев назад +1

      I was going to mention that Trecking poles help a lot. Obviously that’s an issue with recording equipment. But maybe you could use 1 pole with your other hand. They make a world of difference going up steeper hills because you’re also using arm strength. They also provide help for balance and stability on steep and slick downhill trail sections.

      @@KodiakCarnivore I believe I have one around here from a friend who passed away from diabetes. Strange how that came full circle 😳 We were gifted a bike rack yesterday and I need to modify it or find the right part to install it on the Jeep. Something so simple turned into a project 😄 It's okay cause it's raining and cloudy today.

      These are technically extra videos we create so they'll definitely trigger a smaller number of immediate views. Although these are Alaska relevant and like money in the bank form later views.
