- Pavlov VR got a new update. The WW2 update (WWII update for you romans out there) brings new guns like the PPSH, Thompson, M1 Garand, BAR and essentially all your favorites from Call of Duty World at War Zombies into virtual reality. It is a dream come true for someone like me and I hope that even a sprinkle of my enjoyment can rub off on you. But if not, I understand. I hope things are going well with you, and I hope to see you again someday soon.

Literally had a moment where i was laying on the floor of a trench crying laughing becuase my entire squad had been picked off by a german sniper and I genuinely feared for my life. This update is the most fun gaming has been for a long time.

@@habie147 theres also buried VR. kino. and a few others that are out there in various qualities. theres an original and a updated kino. new kino has all the bo1 guns. Call of the dead has them too. they can be buggy though but are wonderful if your a big zombies guy like me. if you ever wanna play im always down

So... funny thing. In most manuals of arms (read: "how armies teach you how to use your gun"), it is actually trained into you that you *always* rack the slide back after reloading as a habit, even if your last mag was not empty. You don't know for sure. It might have not locked open. The last round might not have fed right. Everything might have been a blur and you didn't realize you were empty. Worse, you might forget to rack the bolt when you *are* empty.
In other words: you racking the bolt on every reload is a good habit. Keep it up!
Where did you get that from? That is definitely not what I was taught.
@@tnt65822 - CATM at Basic, and the Army supplementals I had to take for deployments? Dunno, doesn't seem to get more "standard manual of arms" than that.
The best part is _EXACTLY_ the "you might forget to rack the bolt under pressure" happens to him in a later video, and he (rightly) calls chat out for it. Under pressure, always rack the bolt. Better safe than sorry.
@@Verbose_Mode Interesting. I guess it all comes down to the level of training. Even in boot camp we were taught to always just be aware of your weapon condition.
(I feel like this sounds condescending, but I genuinely don't mean it that way. It's just super interesting to me how different groups use different tactics.)

Absolutely, I do competitive shooting, and if I'm at a match and on the clock, _hell no_ am I using a charging handle, bolt catch is WAY faster.
But the way I was trained _in the military_ was that the DoD has more money than God and if I rack the bolt on the new magazine and a unspent round goes flying, Uncle Sam can afford it over me accidentally doing something stupid and my gun going "click" when it was supposed to go "bang."

Here's how you control the tank turret:
Firstly, pull the red lever down to open the chamber, where you will grab and place the tank rounds, then push it in again and pull the lever back down.
When you have the lever down, you can press the red button in front of you to fire your cannon.
To rotate the turret, use the two red valve things and rotate them, the controls aren't too convenient but you'll get it eventually.

This is like the third video I've seen of yours and I kept wondering if I would ever see you in the game, turns out I have and you killed me. Also btw during the clip (and most of the times that I play this game), I was high AF.

@@RinkieGeintie actually it makes sense he wouldn't immediately recognize his own voice because when your voice goes through your microphone and out someone else's speaker it sounds different than irl, just record your own voice then play and back and listen for the difference. For me it gets a bit deeper and the twang in my voice becomes more (prevalent?)

One thing about Der Reise, nacht, and kino(Killer jims version) is that they both use a very old version of the mod that was modifed. but I do know that the creator of the nacht map plans to update the mod version when I finish the latest codz update that will feature lots of new stuff like "A ray gun, wunder waffe, New blood, proper revival system where you can crawl around and shoot, speed cola, quick revive, infection mode, new weapons, lots of bug fixes ,optimization, and more". though sadly the creator of der reise and the old kino(Killer jim's version) does not plan to update the mod version, I tried to ask him for the map but he said he was too busy on his gmod type game to give it.

Yeah, Pavlov looks like shit next to H3. I have 70 hours in it, and when I played Pavlov again after a long time it was unbearable.

The tank action is so fun. I love going into tanks at the opponent spawn and turning the tank to mow them down from the gunner seat. Also, ppsh is a laser

Your VR content is really great. It has the perfect balance of yourself and the game. Many other videos don't really focus on the game at all.
As a person with 3000 hours in Pavlov, watching a new player play this game is something magical

In case you haven't figured out the tank cannons yet. 1. Pull down the breach lever 2. Pick up a shell from your lower left 3. Take the shell up to the breach and ram it in 4. Close the breach with the breach lever 5. Use the two crank wheels to turn the turret and elevate the gun 6. Once on target, use the switch (T-34) or the thin wire (Panzer IV) below the gun sight to fire

Dont worry, Oculous is now begining to allow sidequest games be downloadable on the quest by its self, meaning people who didnt have a pc can soon download it on the browser, this application is called applabs, sadly theres only like 8 games for now, games like Crisis Vridage and Crisis Vridage 2. The makers of Pavlov have also announced that they will release pavlov on applabs soon :D

@@waterbe3564 Its whats it is called, but you can just go on to your ocolous quest rn, go to browser, then to sidequest on the broswer, pick one of the 8 games. You'll know its one of them if the download button is replaced by a button called "Oculous app". Press it then just do what it tells you then boom, its downloaded, more games are coming, so dont worry if you dont like any of the 8 games.

yes its single player, but it has a ton of content, official updates every other week, (on a normal month) and it has an active modding community
It's good for gunplay, but pavlov is built around multiplayer which in my eyes makes it the best shooter, plus the amount of user generated content just beats H3VR for me

Wow, I remember trying out Pavlov over the Christmas break and was super disappointed that the game basically had zero support for the several years it’s been out, but I’ll definitely get this again when it goes on sale
@@comedicsketches The main reason why I refunded Pavlov is because the Bots were completely broken. In the S&D mode, the enemy team won’t move, shoot, or do anything
I know what you’re thinking, “Why buy a Multiplayer game if you don’t want to play against other people?”, and the truth is that I really enjoy that repetitive skirmish-type of gameplay you get from MP games, however I’ve never been very good at PvP games, nor do I want to deal with the frequent stress and frustration PvP games bring
I am getting the Quest 2. Already have PCVR but the wireless of Q2 is too appealing at the price point. Thanks for showing off the new features of Pavlov. I have not played VR in a grip as I waited for this time with so much amazing content for VR now.

As much as i love H3, you can't play it in pvp and that's a big issue for some people ( still is my most played vr game thanks to T&H being the best gamemode ever )
@@MrAdrien914 multiplayer would be cool, definitely. but i believe Anton said himself it’d be too taxing on most computers if it were an actual feature, at least as of right now. not sure how true that is, but i trust him on it, games still fun either way.
The guns are cool and all but I just find myself bored in that game. I have never been one to play with bots, and it's not like it has a story either. It's not a story game, and its not a multiplayer game, so really it's just a fucl around for a couple minutes game. If you like it, good on you. I know the game is very beloved but I myself just don't really play it because it gets me bored.

Can't blame you for the tank reloading thing. I just tried this update for the first time today and it took me an entire round to figure out how to make the damn thing go.
For anyone reading this who doesn't know but doesn't think it could be that hard: You can only pick up new shells with your *left* hand. That's the rub. You *must* load the cannon with your left hand, picking up the shell on one side and putting it into the breach on your other side, using only your left hand, otherwise it doesn't work. That's such a counterintuitive thing in a VR game that I wouldn't blame anyone for going their entire life without ever figuring it out. An object that exists in the world that you can only manipulate with one of your two perfectly good hands? Whose idea was that??
And of course there's no indicator that this one object is somehow special or that you're doing something wrong. On top of that there seems to be a bug or oversight that makes it look like there's always already a shell loaded even when there's not, so you might not even realize that's the step that's missing the entire time. Could've used a smidge more QA, those tanks...

As much as i love WW2 stuff, my favourite thing about this update is that pavlov actually has a decent number of games to join now. Still prefer contractors gun-play wise, but the lack of players make it well... unplayable.

Honestly, I’m 13, and I’m obsessed with WW2 weapons. Every country was experimenting with new weapons, like the Bren with an top feeding mag system, or the StG-44 with intermediate cartridges.
Definitely the best multiplayer competitive FPS by far. And the competitive scene is fantastic and growing fast

@@habie147 Unrelated note, but for the Russian tank, the ammo for the main gun is below you on your left. I am pretty sure that is the case for all of the tanks, but I am not certain. I had trouble with it too, and I do not want you to suffer for as long as I did.
@@friskeboi7250 Well, irl ammo storage does vary from tank to tank (although it is usually, though not always, pretty consistent between tanks of the same country), so if the tanks are being implemented faithfully to their real world counterparts the ammo may be in a different place in a different tank.

The update made me extremely happy. Trying to play the update on the other hand. Was not a fun experience. I couldn't find an Australian server with population so VR with 300+ ping.... Sickening.
