The Range Rover is one well designed piece of machinery that got the short end of the stick when it came to looks. Once you get past the exterior, the interior is a pleasent surprize. You got to wonder? what would it cost them to make the body look like it was made in this decade? Great video.

I've had a 52 Series I (wish to hell I still had it) a Series IIA, I've had Discoveries and one Range Rover. They are all a pure pleasure to take off road. I can't even begin to say what one I like the best. No finer off road vehicle made. I think that what I would like next is a series rover in the 109 body and put "modern" V8 running gear in it. That may just be the best for off road family fun!
Rovers are just wonderful... Sure, they leak, they rattle, they have quirks. But they get the job done and don't complain. They do it majestically and efficiently. A rover makes off roading look easy until its tried by another mark. Watching a RR go up a hill is like watching a skilled pilot land a plane smoothly in a severe thunderstorm. I have an old 96 P38 with 164k miles on it, original everything and has been a grand old rig.
Exellent promotiom Video, I love it .I has a P.38 on British racing green colour ,in Bangkok Thailand. She so cool Coz I took every "GOOD THINGS" out . Such as the a Air suspension , Breaks system .ect. And use Bi- fuel with LP.Gas.for more than 5 years My SUV. So good and economy...Happy motoring coz I know how to change and move it .

The depreciation is a plus for me and and the fact that the body style doesnt change every year like the Japanese cars. You can get a 3 year old Range for 40k that looks the same as a new one some guy just paid 90 for. What a deal!
I remember in HS when someone said "what kind of jackass drives two SUVs" my response was "ME!". I love rovers! and I love my carbon footprint :) At least rovers don't have a ton of acidic batteries in the back that need to be replaced every 5 years.
There is just something about a Range Rover. I'm an LR fan as is my father (hes got a classic, i've got a discovery). Just look at the video of the late brown/burgundy classic driving towards that huge stately home. No other vehicle could look as 'right' as the Range Rover does there.

I agree, but not I'm not for Land Rover/Range Rover being Stylish and pretty. It's a hardy ruggid beast build for offroad. It's amazing to me how people buy these trucks with no intention of ever taking them offroad and yet pay the extra 15-20 thousand for the offroading features. Many people dream of owning a Jeep, I also have a Jeep Grand Cherokee along with my 92 Range Rover and it's been a damn good truck. But nothing can compare to a Land Rovers capability offroad...
Also I'm not down for the new ones. They're too electrical and have way too many problems. It's like the saying, "They don't make them like they used to!"

I'd take a Jeep Grand Cherokee over this. The Jeep beats it in almost every off-road suv test that is done. It also costs less than half of the price of a Range, plus the Jeep is faster and more fuel efficent with the mds technology that chrysler omcporporated into the hemi engine's.
And more you cant compare the best performances off-road from japanese cars versus inglish cars! OK LR is a very good car, but its impossible to say that is best then the japanese!! The facts are the truth and the fact say that the best performances and the best off-road cars are japanese!!
