As you like to try games from the past, I recommend two others: Serengeti (aka Don, Templari) - a bidding game I enjoy as much as "High Society", with a very unique bidding restriction mechanism. Serengeti is out of print, but is the best aesthetically of the three iterations, if you can find a copy. Hare & Tortoise (1st winner of Spiel des Jahres, in 1979) - like Cape Horn, a non-dice "racing" game.
@@ChairmanoftheBoard And to be clear, there is "another" game by the same name. My recommendation is a game by Michael Schacht, one of my favourite designers - his dry, streamlined style suits my 'maths' taste (just like Dr. K).
