GOD BLESS OUR VETERANS !! 🇺🇲✝️🙏
Richard Blumenthal is incorrect. Under President Trump VA improved greatly. President Trump will take this on as prior!
Good luck and Godspeed.
Collins is a great pick to work for our Veterans! 🇺🇲
@@Ballerboithaone1 Your proof?
@@SledFrog198 he was a air force colonel and then became a private sector lawyer... Who sued The VA for not supporting and cost cutting our Veterans... So now what proof do you need???
@@rickyheck6780 He is still a Col in AF reserves and which lawsuit are you referring to?
Kudos Mr Collins.🙏🏼🇺🇲
The VA needs more doctors!!!
You kidding? VA health care was on a powerpoint slide from DOGE, it is the most important cost saving.
Trump fired them last time, didn't he?
Yes VA needs more doctors
that are Veteran Qualified not outsourced from VA contractors like DUKE and UNC Medical Students who think that Veterans are here for their education not the welfare of the veteran health
Doug!!! I've missed you. So appreciative you are back. I retired and would appreciate working for you. I live Central Valley Ca. VA regional center were my father was mistreated and diagnosed. We went through hell.
Forbes can you please stop blocking the names with your banner. Make it smaller. Please.
Get in there and clean it out and clean it up, Doug! Uncover the corruption and get rid of the slack.
And make sure VSO's actually give a crap!
Like Trump just said, the corruption is about to begin.
Love Doug Collins, was sad to see him out of government, He will be a welcome site for our loved and respected Vets.
I know someone that works in the VA and there most important concern is to continue to be able to work from home. says something!
They are not needed.
@lagi1313 Many benefits processors work on computers at home. They are very much needed. More are needed. Veterans need them to keep their jobs. Veterans need VBA to hire more benefits processors, actually. Not get rid of them.
Why is Blumenthal on that committee when he was caught with Stolen Valor ??? 🤬
Go Doug - a VERY good man at every level…
Have the discharge process move to the VA. Make all soldiers to go through a VA process with help in transition to civilian life...
They used to provide the Service. My dad WWII Vet had that examination. This not offered to Post 911 Vets.
What a great idea. Exactly why VA will never do it.
Finally, DEI is gone, meaning no more priority for combat vets!!! Thank you for your service 😂😂😂😂
Absolutely. I had a Squad Meeting with my guys few months before we came home off my 3rd deployment. I had them all fill
Out and send in their registration paperwork for the VA. That way they would have it done and could get immediate care if need it
@ I think you are unusual in that you take ownership and initiative. Also most VA health employees are not geared that way.
Most say “not in my job description.”
Most say, “it’s the system and there is nothing I can do to fix it for you.”
Many, though they won’t admit it, have a negative attitude toward veterans. It’s because they see veterans as problems, not customers.
Doug Collin’s is ready, willing and able! ❣️🇺🇸❣️
Man, I hope they change the VA. massively. My PCP is out until May and there is no one to cover for her? How is this possible?
If your PCP patients need to be seen for care, they can be seen for care while she is out on medical leave. If anyone hasn't been transparent with you about staffing, please know that staff vacancies is a problem. Vacancies impacts wait time and coverage. Many may not know, that for months now, there have been restrictions on hiring to fill VA vacancies. These restrictions are due to budget issues in response to heightened costs of increased Community Care referrals. The government did not allocate money to VA to cover the cost of increased Community Care referrals. Hence, VA medical centers did not have access to funds for filling medical provider vacancies. Hiring restrictions negatively impacts Veterans access to their health providers. But, yes, if you need to see a PCP while she is out on medical leave, yes, you can be seen by someone. If you are not sure how to make that happen, a patient advocate can assist you.
@@s.n.e.8941absolutely! And these community care providers after charge double to triple the hours that it would take a VA provider to provide the same, and often more well-informed, care. This results in a massive deficit that then results in more hiring freezes/limitations on the VA. All we want to do is serve our veterans well, with integrity and honor and without bias…separate from any political games or power plays.
DOGE isn’t looking to cut Funds from Veterans Care. It is looking to CUT the waste not going towards Veterans care so the money IS spent on Veterans care. For example. The Mountain Home VAMC remodel a rotunda in 2008 and they just remodeled it again last year.
Does anyone else see the bs in the background or is it just me? Cant even take this serious
Hoping that what I have heard about the affects of the substance IBOGAINE will be considered as part of therapy for PTSD. I know its controversial, at this stage, but gives relief and a restart, from what I understand.
No disrespect but there should be funds already set back and put back for this very situation a long time ago
I dont even go to the VA anymore because its trash
The Global War on Terror, GWOT, proved that we are more than willing to send our youngest most loyal and dedicated Americans off to war but it’s not a priority to care for their healthcare needs when they leave the military.
I and a fellow Veteran tried to assist our 99 year old D-Day wounded and Battle of the Bulge Purple Heart Veteran get care at the VA. He was treated poorly and not well cared for. After two full days he was exhausted and disgusted and so were we. As an Army Veteran and son of a D-Day + 3 Army Vet I admit that the way the VA treated our 99 year old Army Vet buddy just broke my heart.
We went on to pay thousands out of pocket to help out our 100 year old buddy. The VA failed him completely.
And this is before the projected DOGE cuts in VA health care
@ Hopefully they will use a scalpel instead of a power saw.
Amen
Request the old-fashioned way the physical documentation instead of the digital
God bless our vets ❤
Why is the VA completely separate from for profit medical services? In remote areas couldn't the VA rent space in existing clinics?
AMEN 🙏
So many Americans believe that since our military is by far the best in the world that our VA Healthcare System must also be the best.
Sadly it is not. There is every reason that it should be, yet it is not. It is a real shame.
CONFIRM DOUG COLLINS !/HE'S THE BEST MAN FOR THE JOB !/ CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR CONFIRMATION DOUG !/GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY !/MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN !
Doug deserves the promotion and is a strong minded leader with a awesome future
Hirono needs to go
Or Congress and senators should have to used the VA for their medical treatment. I’m sure that will correct any problems.
Gold standard my sweet aunt Martha. I have NASH and IPF. My provider won't look at my records, prescribed medication which adversely affects my liver. My request for a different provider due to lack of faith in their abilities has yet to be granted. SOME GOLD STANDARD LIAR!!!!
4 hrs waiting for a prescriptions!! Is enough said!!’
And also once that get that situation gets handled there needs to be some emergency funds for VA medical supplies or anything to do with the VA medical how to find them if there was a shortage
God bless America
There's no mission too big or too small that America shouldn't be able to accomplish
Don’t like the guy asking questions. I think President Trump will do the right things for Veterans. Not talking about the Afghans. This guy likes to hear himself talk. Creep!
Tried to get the VA to provide my Vietnam veteran husband an electric wheelchair. He is non Mobil and in great need. A year of run around and still nothing. 😢 when he was needed he went.
It looks good on paper; bonuses get allocated, staff programs continue to get perks even as veterans get another dead end number to call; medical appointments backlogged for months and a medical team that violates trust of the veteran by withholding key diagnostics that could potentially support a claim. Veterans deserve a level of support comparable to the sacrifice that is expected of them.
Last time under Trump things went much better.
@DawnGay . and now they are worse again.
@@Gpacharlie explain???
@@rickyheck6780 Communicating with providers was getting better, now much worse.
Appointments were more available. Now less.
Community care is resisted and cumbersome to navigate.
Communication with providers has become a real frustration.
VA Healthcare is;
• Means tested
• Rationed
• Not fully available to many (most) veterans.
Are you allowed to write a bill and to present it to and the parties to vote on
Hire more Reps and get the records right
I would say what other organization are they having communication with and they need full audited
Isn't there like a job position where people go in there and look over the technology and see if it needs upgraded every so often
As a Veteran, I've read his educational, business moral and Military history. I pray he gets confirmed despite these leftist maniacs who grille him here and there.
Trump said veterans are suckers and losers, which one are you😂
Your stupidity shines thru gomer🎉
@paulbunyon4624 explain and bring a debate or stay out. I'm not the one wasting my time to call someone stupid and leave. Congratulations, you wasted 5 minutes of your life.
Imagine being against cost cutting when the country is $30T in debt
I pray you are ready they're coming after you 🙏
What does the question have to do with Veterans?
Thank you, Mr. Doug Collins, for wanting to roll up your sleeves, put on your boots, and volunteer to push an elephant from behind. First the elephant will crap on you and then he will sit on you.
I also believe that the VA will both survive and vastly improve when they are interacting with community care outside the VA and integrating them into the VA program.
Sen. Collins answers there questions. Dems don't understand UCMJ laws about illegal laws and the duty not to enforce illegal laws. I'm very Happy with this Candidate‼️😄
One fellow veteran waiting is one too many
That made me so happy when somebody in the politician is even mentioning that makes me happy cuz it is issue for the Chet Baker's eState and I will not settle for less but Justice and I had to reach out to somebody higher than these media platforms cuz I feel like they are not letting me get any information out so he can help you know exciting so on so I had to go to the Google political platforms
Yeah that's ridiculous that should be a speedy process to get passed through
why are senators wearing a Ukraine flag with our flag ?
Odd question do you think all government officials in all sorts of areas of government should have a yearly mental evaluation and a certain questions to see if their answer would line up to with upholding the law regardless to maybe their own personal interest or political beliefs
Good luck
Yeah opening up a VA a real rehabilitation center
Skip the first 27 minutes
I agree they got all these training and stuff you know and these training camps and stuff but I believe personally that these things have been already been in place and the VA offices and spread out with over States you know and providing transportation and etc since the beginning in co-founding of army
Why not give all honorably discharged veterans a private healthcare policy option? Let them vote with their feet. If they choose VA then the VA survives. If it doesn’t it probably shouldn’t have.
Sure, but then you need to pay more taxes to make that happen.
@ We spent 9 trillion so far on GWOT. We traumatized 1 million young soldiers. Now we don’t want to spend the money to help them.
“Thank you for your service.”
Old friend of mine said a closed mouth doesn't get fed
I had problem with getting prescription on time, i get a 30 days supply and when i order another 30 days supply it was always 36+ days in order before in received it. finely got so bad I had to move the medication. out of the VA. I even file a case with the Inspector General of the VA. I couldn't get no result even that high in the Gov. Finely I pull most of my veteran's care out of the VA. Things need to start from the top down. I was a Marine Corp Vet. Not one word was said to me about, or any vets at the time about having any benefits with the VA. If I wrote all the problems with the VA. I would be writing a book. Every time I had to go to the VA ER for messing up my prescription because the couldn't even count to 30, that 30 days would add up to 36 days before receiving my prescription. When when I went to the ER. It was never their fault always, my fault. Prescription wrote by my PCP would just disappeared from the systems, or go from 39 days to plus more than 36 days or more. Vietnam vets. was screw over from day one from the the day, that they was discharge from active duty and still things are needs to be improve. A lot of Vietnam VETS are still living on the street, or ended up dying there. Most who are still alive today. They are still suffering from Agent Oranges and its effect. All coverup for years.
Ty Collins welcome back home
You cannot dtop VETERANS from talking about DEI... Freedom of speech and the abilty to bring lawsuits is great
To here a sitting member of Congress not refer to the President as President but as Mister, (which is against US protocol) is shameful, regardless of party affiliation.
How in the hell did modoc from Justice League show up in the Senate oh my God that dude's head is huge
Well if they didn't in these problems with the VA soldiers your potentially violating their rights to in a way to seek medical attention therefore you might potentially have legal problems in the future
Yes... Politicians get paid for life but military men get NOTHING after service release! How about 1 year severance pay and help finding suitable employment.
Military service members get NOTHING after discharge? No access to any services or financial benefits at all? Who is reporting this inaccurate information to the public? Someone needs to educate that source that their information is incorrect. Wow, that source is so misinformed. Sorry that they shared that inaccurate information with you.
I know the bar is in hell, but I actually like this guy. He sure looks more competent than some of the other picks from this administration.
Does anyone know who I should call to help me figure out
MyHealthyVet?
No more voicemails allowed at my VA.
Which VA medical center are you trying to access?
Secure Messaging is recommended. Do you know how to use that? Data is tracked on response to patient messages.
@@s.n.e.8941 I don’t know and my providers don’t know who I can ask to help me set it up.
I'm guessing after the car was stolen a bit of time was used to take the owner's identity and the storage unit was rented in the car owner's name.
Yeah what about the ones that are unaware and that are homeless that doesn't know about
Follow the money ????
Create a non-profit and seek out in the communities under bridges and to try to find them cuz I guarantee you there's people out there that are homeless that was maybe in the army or in the VA that mean probably mental and physical emotional and potentially benefits that they are eligible
Every time I walk into the VA, the thought that the VA served Illegal migrants for the past 4 year's and not solely those who Risked Life and Limb, and for the VA to put Illegal migrants above all those who Served In Harm's Way is an Outrage. I'll never forget it.......
Congressional oversight hearing exposed the expenditure of 183 Billion VA dollars for illegal migrants and 3 Billion for Veterans.
Thats just bs, liar
I like learning politics and how everything works and everything cuz it's very interesting because I do not like crime I'm against organized crime and law and order that is what I would love the most for America and you know to receive my trust back I would actually have to see results and I was watching another video and the woman was saying you cannot be on on this video commenting about certain stuff to gain potentially personally to financially personally gain money that would be a violation of My first amendment right on this platform and I would be glad to file a lawsuit because hell I'm broke and at least I have smarts know that my first amendment shall not be and no matter what my first amendment overrules anybody else's opinion on their emotions about how they are or how they feel

Finally, DEI is gone, meaning no more priority for combat vets!!! Thank you for your service 😂😂😂😂
The VA has cancelled the ability for Veterans to communicate with their healthcare providers by voicemail now. Bad communication just got much worse.
I’m sorry. I really try hard to not be critical of VA Healthcare but my history with VA has been for the most part less than good, and in many cases much less.
Voicemail is not recommended for communication with health care providers. In the private sector, I never leave voicemail messages for a provider. Providers should be seeing patients, not taking time to check voicemail. Providers work on teams and have nurses that assist them with patients inquiries. Secure Messaging is much more effective than voicemail. Plus, it's a better form of documentation for tracking purposes. In 2025, voicemail for doctors is way behind the times.
No offense but the government got a lot of uncovering and explaining to do an accountability has to happen
Cannot watch a bunch of BLOWHARTs get to the questions already!
Yeah slowly expand
He will do what’s the dems never could do , he also must go
You know what would be cool for people to go out and have a non-profit organization to go seek people that it might be homeless that are veterans but they might have mental illness due to the fact that the trauma caused by the war and they might need help and they might be even eligible for benefits that they was unaware of I mean it's possible there's a lot of them like that out there but that would be cool
Him flashing his dog tags is an extremely worrying sign to me.
An air force reservist acting like flashing his dog tags signifies anything is an absolute joke.
So many ideas but you left a fu-- mess , why did they not ever do this ,,, mercy
Slotkin isn't as bright as I thought she was. She sounds like Kamala.
DOUG WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITES
❤LOVE LOOOVE HIM! MAY GOD KEEP BLESSING AND PROTECTING HIM & HIS FAMILY ❤
HE'S A VOTE FOR ME!
Hirono has never asked Democrats nominees these diabolical questions.
Gold standard😂😂 more like aluminum
Non-profit VA transportation to receive medical attention
Anyone else find it extremely bizarre that Hirono always leads in with those same two opening questions for each of the nominees regarding sexual misconduct... Seems like a passive aggressive way of throwing out into the ether that all of Trump's picks for his cabinet are somehow aligned with that type of behavior when there is no factual bases to assert it and to casually throw it out there when millions viewed this hearing live and after-the-fact via social media. Very rude, condescending, disrespectful, miserable person.
Shut him up ,,, he is lying to us
Blumenthal? Send him home..
When? Your proof?
Abortion is not healthcare, Senator Patty Murray. Abortion ends a human life. That is not healthcare.
Abortion is only available as an option if certain criteria is met, such as threat of death to the Veteran. She explained the criteria when she asked her question. Thanks
