This is 8.1.24. You've been here for a while now. I AM one of those visual learners!! And I DO enjoy your "chattiness." And the coffee and the tea etc. It's more than JUST an art lesson. You are MUCH appreciated. I'm 71 and still work full time in my accounting firm, but I try not to miss spending time with you. Thank you!!❤

Jo , you never waffle, you make me feel like you are chatting to me, in fact, I have actually answered you out loud more than once!! I’m down in Devon but originally I’m from Lancashire, so you almost take me home!! As a retired art teacher, I can follow your instructions so easily, because you inspire confidence whilst explaining in fine detail, especially the reflections which have been a huge problem for me. I’ve tried ‘drawing’ them in but not very successfully! Your three methods are amazing!! A huge, grateful Thank You!! Donna.

Thank you so much Jo, and firstly there is nothing wrong with this tutorial. You’ve shown me so much that I didn’t know, and lots of tips and tricks too. Whoever that is, just ignore them, you have 212 great 👍 comments, and just one ☝️ moron, who probably leaves these thumbs down 👎 for everyone they watch. Why bother????? I really don’t know. I’ve just seen your channel, and I’ve subscribed and given you a thumbs up 👍 too. And I really really don’t do that lightly. Your excellent and very easy to listen to. I’m really really looking forward to seeing you again soon. Stay safe and well too xxx Mags

Hi sweet heart. Jo you have been such an inspiration to me and darlin’ I do have an education in design. You see, talent isn’t reliant on education but experience and a God given willingness to learn plus tenacity. Your work is incredible! I just can’t get enough. FYI I honestly learn something new with almost every video. Do not ever question your ability as an artist or a teacher. Your language skills are prime and your presentations are so informative and complete it’s astounding. And to top it off your voice is soothing! Keep going, we love you Jo! The first time I watched a video, not long ago, I laughed and laughed because your diction reminded me of Dame what’s her hoosle, now I can’t remember her name but I’m sure you do. I think she modelled her character after you. Oh my! Impeccable..

Wow, thank you so much for sharing this, I’m stunned by your work, just beautiful. I must add that I love your teaching skills, you make everything so realistic and natural leaving in any little accident because, to be honest, I always make mistakes, sometimes they end up happy ones, but I feel it’s how we learn. I’ve been watching all your videos, and today is Mother’s Day, so happy Mother’s Day to you, and my daughter is just bringing my coffee now, so cheers and enjoy Jo. Hugs from your neighbour across the pond in Ireland. XX

Technology is swell, isn’t it? Here we are in a pandemic with lockdowns and quarantines and separated by thousands of miles and continents and yet we can still carry on conversations and learn new techniques. I agree with the other commentor who said like it’s sitting down to have a cuppa coffee with a friend. I don’t drink coffee but I feel that I know you and that you are sitting right next to me in my messy craft room! Thank you for the techniques on the brayers and how to do reflections. I saw someone else give a demo on reflections using the Breyer and it was kind of scary! The alternatives that you suggested I am sure I will use. Such a beautiful card and so impressive. Thanks again for your time and effort and skill in teaching us these techniques and also for your happy disposition. I too am started late in life with my crafts. Stay well and stay safe, Christine Andersen from Salem Utah, USA!

It's funny you should say about a brayer, because it was a Lavinia tutorial video that gave me that light bulb moment to enable me to do it without those dreaded lines. Barbara Gray from clarity was also helpful with talking about the very edge of the roller and doing a wheelie to get rid of ink off that very edge which again gives lines. Thanks to both ladies I can now brayer 👌👍

Jo I love your tutorials, I do feel like I'm with a friend. I'm fairly new to stamping but am really enjoying it and I love Lavinia stamps. I haven't felt brave enough to try reflections yet but feel more confident about it after watching your video. Thank you so much, Alison Terry 👍
