Thanks, love it. The only negative thing I have to say is that your new version really shows what bad quality my version is. That's 30 years of technology!

Go back just over/under 10 years ago trowbridge was a lovely place to live and it was thriving all the shops were full no empty stores, kids actually playing in the park and upper and lower fields the town centre was buzzing with both wetherspoons open, taxis and buses coming and going like clockwork. Now look where we are 2023 😞

That Wetherspoons is still closed down, it's sad to see the shop space still unoccupied all these years later. If the problem is rent, then clearly the council/whoever owns the land need to lower it as there's no demand for that space now, especially all the other empty shop spaces that are creeping up all over town!

This is amazing 🤯 seeing how similar everything is, yet different in a way that feels off for somebody that regularly explores these routes! I can't believe the Tesco I work at used to be a patch of grass in the 1990's! That's wild to think about!

Wtf I would've never guessed you're local. I remember watching your Mario saves peach video in 2011 when I was little.

@@marksmithwas12 Hell of a small world, only a town over from you (Westbury). Amazing to believe I could’ve bumped into you at some point without realising that’s one of my childhood videos lol

Excellent! Must be quite difficult to follow what's already been done. It's a shame I broke into time lapse for the return journey. I laughed at the fact that you even repeated my typo! Good that you realised the 30th year anniversary too, I never thought of it. Really enjoyed it, thanks.

Interesting to see how Trowbridge hasn't changed a great deal but for the sad loss of many big businesses that had created a great deal of employment for the town.

This is really excellent. Thank you for creating this. I have a recording from 1995 of a bus journey from Market Lavington to Westbury. I really must do something like this using a dashcam. When I was at Trowbridge College during 1983-1986, there was no White Horse Business Park, so no roundabouts, the only way into Trowbridge from Yarnbrook was via Bradley Road, no Spitfire Retail Park (McDonalds/KFC) - the old spitfire factory was abandoned and covered in brambles etc. We used to walk down College Road, and along Bradley Road and there was a little alleyway that led past the former football club and to Dursley Road before it was bisected by County Way, which at the Bradley Road roundabout is where the little alleyway was! (Houses demolished to make way for that road). Nice to see the back of the old Tesco in your original video. Happy days, 16 - 18 years old then. 55 now.

Very good. Thanks for posting. Amazing how much it's changed, but when you're living there you hardly notice it. Lived there from 60's till 18mths ago when we moved to Essex.

I KNEW yellow lines were less bright than they used to be. I swear back in the day they'd be like proper bold and amber. Now, even when thry're freshly done they're like pale and off colour.

The music was taken from the original 1991 video! I thought it would be fun to copy as many aspects of it as possible!

Great video :) though at 5 mins you say the road layout has changed, it hasn't, you can still follow the same route past the old post office but cant go the other way as its buses only :)

Yeah I think at the time we were unable to go that way....perhaps due to road works. Either that or we just made a mistake somehow when driving. Thanks for watching!
