CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Amir (Khalid Abdalla) teaches Sohrab (Ali Danish Bakhtyari) about kite flying.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Finding Neverland director Marc Forster adapts author Khaled Hosseini's critically acclaimed novel about two childhood best friends forever torn apart as their country is ravaged by endless war and bitter strife. As children, Amir (Khalid Abdalla) and Hassan were inseparable; their long days under azure Kabul skies often spent getting into innocent mischief or preparing for the highly anticipated kite-fighting tournament. When the day of the tournament arrives, however, a glorious victory is quickly offset by a timorous act of betrayal that ultimately serves as the catalyst for catastrophe. Not long after that fateful day, Amir moves away to America, leaving his old friend behind just as the ominous specter of war turns tragically tangible. Two decades later, Amir returns to Afghanistan to find his beloved homeland has now fallen under the iron-fisted rule of the Taliban. Still, all hope for redemption hasn't been lost just yet, because now that Amir stands face to face with the irrepressible secrets that he struggled so vigilantly to bury, he will receive one last chance to make peace with the past, and lay the groundwork for a brighter future.

for you, a thousand times over
T_T
Bar tu hazaar dafaa
i cried when he said "for you a thousand times over"
gillian me too
Wait until you see the end credits; A boy walks up the top of the hill the camera pauses on watching Amir, and the camera is so far away, that the viewer can't tell if the boy is Sohrab, or Hassan.
Me too
I think that was by design. He is running like a little kid. It's him picking up where he left off at his great failure as a person, starting over.
.....stop I'm crying
This comment....😭
Me too
Me and my twin brother , we watched this movie in 2012. And now I’m watching it alone ;(. May his soul rest in peace. 😢
12 likes, a blessed number. God bless you and yours
🙏🙏🙏🙏
😣
God blessed his soul
You're lucky you spend some years with him but my twin died after three months of the birth and seriously I miss him a lot🥺🥺
1:52 "For you a thousand times over" this line has my heart ❤️
Thank you so much, I was looking for this timestamp, so lucky that you had commented this some time ago.
@@wanderingicarus2488 you'r welcome
the books really amazing...it made cry so bad and it made me laugh like a donkey when shorab says "tank you wery match" to the lady in the embassay and so very inspiring....im feel so very sorry for shorab on how depressed he has become
Hassan and Amir's brotherhood will always give chills. A loving chill. Hassan's LOVE for Amir is unfathomable. I wept reading the book and in million years, I will still ❤️
, я прочла один раз, книга потрясла меня, но больше не смогу, настолько это разбило мне сердце
In America if you cut a kite everyone gets pissed and starts yelling at you :/ XD
+Kiba Inuzuka. now with the taliban, everyone will get pissed in Afghanistan for everything
@Sarah Ferguson Oof here’s the Taliban supporter ☠️
@@blue3374 you replied after 5 years 😮
I thought the same thing reading the book, but I’m with the US on this one. Males turn everything into a competition, to say nothing of the money wasted on cut kites.
IN the book it's different
Sohrab doesn't even touch the kite and Amir just shows it to him...he is expressionless until Amir cuts the kite and offers to run...he gives a lopsided smile
There is a beautiful part where he looks at Sohrab and sees Hassan cheering for him, the winter of Kabul, the aazaan and smell of kababs...he pictures the Kabul of his childhood for a moment and sees his father and everyone...of course the movie is nothing compared to the book
But still it depicted it beautifully as you see my friend you can't fit everything in a movie...the book is just unmatchable but I won't say the movie was bad...it was good tho it missed out on some very important details of how baba had ridden them to the bus station and tried to convince them on the way to not go to hazarajat on a rainy day
Sohrab did try the kite according to the book. I am quoting the book here - - > Conversation between Amir & Sohrab:
"Do you want to try?"I asked. He said nothing. But when I held the string
out for him, his hand lifted from his pocket. Hesitated. Took the string. My heart
quickened as I spun the spool to gather the loose string.
I haven’t read the book but would like to know why Sohrab stopped talking completely after he was rescued by Amir . If someone could please tell me
@@komalmotwani51 Amir first promise Shorab that he will never send him to an orphanage and will take him to America. But Because there ia no proof of shorab realtion with amir. The lawyer asked him to put the child back in an orphanage and then adopt him from there.
Amir tells this to shorab and he starts crying and doesn't want to go back to an orphanage ever. And then he attempts to suicide that night and after that doesn't talk to anyone.
As he is tired of everything that had happened to him.
Yeh i think book is different
..intresting this clip is.. they didn't sub title that one line, and its one of the best lines in the movie..
Couldn't agree more 👍
For you, a thousand times over. 😭😭😭
Yeah! Why??!!
In Books it is only Amir and Sohrab flying the kites, Soraya is just a mere spectator watching from a distance. This is the only change from book to film, placing Soraya in the picture and them being a supportive unit that I really appreciate.
Also when Ali and Hassan leave baba's house they go in baba's car during the rain, not by foot.
I appreciate the film but this simply doesn't give enough justice to how marvelous this moment is in the book. I cried real tears reading the last few lines and it give me so much emotions I never knew I have.
Aw why isn't the last line subtitled? That's my favorite line in the book and film!
mszsu For you a thousand times over
It means 2000 times (i will get the kite for you)
@@zaheysultani5694 1000*
Because that line doesn't need to be translated, we all know what he said and the emotion it carried.
For you a thousand times over...
Just like Hassan did for Amir, Amir did for Hassan's son Sohrab. They ran kites for each others.
For you, thousand times over. Man.
Movie changed my life forever. One day I’ll read the book. Just remember feeling like I could atone for anything after watching this. Such inspiration
The moment I read those words "For you a thousand times over" from Aamir to Sohrab. My heart was crying.
With the Taliban crisis this makes it all the more emotional for me . I have a friend who is stuck there . I pray for him every single day .
Everyone deserves a friend like hassan... Except Amir
True💔
'The kite runner'The most heart touching book i ever read
Legend says that Amir is still looking for that kite
In Afghanistan every kids know flying and cutting others' kite. It's like a national play for all afghans kids. Oh my God I'm missing those days when i was flying kites with my friends 😣😣😥😥
And now?
For you, a thousand times over ♥️
I couldn't feel the emotion in the movie..for me the books is a masterpiece
I saw this in high school and thought that goofy run in the end was hilarious.
watching this again I still laughed
..such a powerful movie..so unde rated.. and what a great ending.. touching and moving..
Absolutely underrated. The boy who's playing as Sobhar, acted so beautifully 👍
Absolutely underrated. Ali Danish Bakhtyari (the boy acted as Sohrab), did an excellent job 👍
:For you thousand times over Amir Agha...:"
The simplicity & humblness of Hassan has been fit in my mind as i the eye viewer of this story😥
Would have been better if they had put the kid in 'The Rock Rules' T Shirt
The last part For you a thousand times over>>
for some reason i always thought they would speak to Sohrab in English at the end including the best line "For you a thousand times over..."
He said "bar tu Hazar dafa" for you thousand times over
For you, a thousand times over
my favorite scene in the movie
1:45 - "What are you doing, can't hold it right?"
When he said that line I couldn't help myself from crying.
The horror the boy went through. I wish no one have to go through the same. I wallowed reading the book. My sweet Sohrab❤
Such a saaaaad yet beautiful story, especially book, it really makes you cry non stop
OMG, this is the absolute best book ever,
I just finished the book, it was so heart-touching, love it
OKAY Y'ALL HATING ON THIS MOVIE
THE BOOK IS JUST TOO GOOD TO BE POURED INTO FILM
I'm not crying
The beatles lover just sweating through my eyes
Can't get enough of this film, or the book. Damn good movie! :D
Is the movie and the book the same?
Never 100% the same. They make movie just to make an instant entertainment. While book is more like a soul-deep experience. Well, atleast for good books.
Amir payed it all back to Hassan.. He showed his worth.
ive got an exam on the book tomorrow, this counts as revision right?
Chocoholic5539 yea I got exam in December.
Hope you have a good grade on that!
@@gatchaempire6045 How did your exam go? Did you study this in English?
LMAO😂 I'M SORRY BUY HE RAN SO WIERD
Jamel Bryant yes 😂
In the book he runs like his 12 year old self again
You have not watched how krk run yet.
ikr lool
He is a wimpy author, not an athlete.
When hussan said for you, a thousand times over! ❤😭
The fact that Hassan's son has a childhood trauma is killing me inside...I hope he found happiness ❤
Awesome story. Many lessons to learn.
Me too! I burst into crying like a little boy...it literally destroyed me.
Just finished reading the book..i didn’t know there is a movie based on kite runner..and its perfect.. Now i am crying..😭😭😭😭
Some parts of this movie are touching. The best drama based on a novel since Reservation Road and Gone Baby Gone which mutually came out the same year
For you a thousand time over will be the one line enough to make someone emo
For you a thousand times over
i wish we had more novels like this
it was one flake at a time ❤️
I love this. The movie was superb, the book was outstanding, such a great writer. I recommend "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by the same author. That would also make a great movie.
My favorite ending of all movies!
Mine too
*THIS MOVIE HAUNTING ME SO MANY YEARS !*
For you a thousand times over ♡
Why am I crying right now ??
i love the kite runner
The book is always deeper, because u read the characters thoughts as well, but u can't read them in a movie and it doesn't hit that hard so.
Lol imagine coming to America and cutting random peoples kites off
My heart break for Hassan😢 what a great story.
That kid portrayinh sohrab is an amazing actor
Very heartfelt ❤
This ending was so bittersweet 🥹🥺
好感动,这种劫后余生让人颇为感慨
Lovely background score
Thank god cause Afghai matches with Hindi, at least I felt that last line
I want to adopt Sohrab, he's my hero...

For you a thousand times over :/
just finished the book. Masya Allah.
Reading the book felt like being slapped in the face. Watching this movie after reading the book felt like being slapped in the face and told you were just being tapped. I'm sure the movie's great but I implore you all to read the book, the book is short but the impact will stay with you for days.
I am halfway through the book, I am at the part where ali and hassan left because hassan told everything to ali and I am still crying. Oh my god I pain j m feeling for hassan and I hate I have fore amir right now is just too much

The ending parts in afghanistan was completely twisted I just wanted to rage on someone.
there not good at it, he should have done it like this----> stay below the other kite and then go up fast as possible then release YOU WILL WIN FOR SURE
And all ways use black rope or what ever you wana call it.
