"Have I taught you nothing?" In the final moments of the film Amir finally mans up enough to confront his father-in-law, the General. That is my favorite scene. The look his wife gives him is beautifully rendered.
This scene is my personal favorite of this movie and this shows why Baba is my favorite character in this movie. He is a very honorable man. He was willing to die for strangers so the woman wouldnt get raped by that soldier. I dread how this scene might've gone down had Baba not been here. I honestly respect people like him and wish there were more people like Baba in this world
Yes and this showed what a decent man he was...he was a true man...he must've been seduced by sanaubar...(she was very beautiful anyways) otherwise he would not do such a dirty act of forcing her...and even for that he was ashamed of himself...what a character
@@gaunterodimm8120 Listen here master mirror do you not remember how he left his best friend Alis head down in shame after he had set with his wife and made him take care of the child
A lot of people are not noticing but this is the clear difference between Baba and Amir, Baba stepped down to save a stranger, but Amir didn't even saved his own best friend.
You can't raise a brave and honourable young man without setting an example. Baba was walking to take a bullet, Amir went toe to toe with his old enemy and Taliban commander. While the child Amir may have been a coward, the adult who saved that boy, definitely was someone whom baba would be proud of.
There's no difference... Amir has his own experiences and his own timing. How dare you compare him unfavorably to a man who fostered an illegitimate child and kept it a secret, betraying his manservant?
What I love about his character is how noble he seems, like a just liege lord. Even in humble circumstances, when is a clerk at a petrol station, he exudes nobility.
