Almost disappointed the Blessed Blue Dew Talisman doesn't Regen it faster, However even 0.5FP a second can be extremely strong since as a Caster main I can wait several minutes before letting off another spell that does half their Health bar or can continually get off less Mana intensive spells without wasting too much Mana
Surprised the Two Handed Talisman didn't get at least an honorable mention. 15% damage on all attacks when 2h'ing a weapon is amazing, haven't taken it off since I got it.
@@thescaryturlte7821 Yeah that is the downside, but to be fair with all the other ways you can stack AoW damage that might've been too much. Still, paired with Shard of Alexander you're sitting on 15% more damage on everything, which is nice.
One thing I do love about the DLC's gameplay is that it gets you in one way or another to swap talismans out for situations more often than the base game.
Yeah, so many good talisman options now for specific situations or even specific fights. In some boss battles i find myself using Renalla's cameo, while in other fights where i have less time for stancing i might just opt for a base damage increase or something. Only thing i wish we had was a loadout system, that would just let you swap between 4 or 5 different loadouts on the fly.
Maybe it's just me, but crimson seed talisman +1 feels really nice. Unless you're on literally 1hp, you never need to double flask at 60 vigor. First crimson seed talisman was kind of inefficient but this one just feels so good for beefier builds.
I know Erdtree’s Favor +2 is already very strong, but after seeing all of the +3 talismans the DLC added, I was really hoping to see an Erdtree’s Favor +3 or maybe a Scadutree’s Favor that was an upgrade from that. Wishful thinking I know, but that would’ve been an insane upgrade to have for any build that already wants the Erdtree’s Favor +2.

Ring of Favor DS 1 is 20% HP/STA/Equip load Dark Souls 2 is Third Dragon ring (Thats the +2 ver) 7.5% HP, 12.5% STA and 12.5% Equip load Dark Souls 3 Ring of Favor +3 is 6% HP, 11.5 % STA and 8% Equip load Elden ring Erdtree's Favor +2 is 4% HP, 10% STA and 8% Equip load So having Erdtree's Favor +3 would be quite refreshing
Dude the Blue Dew Talisman is #1. It means Unlimited Healing/Arts as long as enough time passes to replenish FP, so its both the perfect Offense and Defense.
I was so excited when I found out this talisman existed. Then I found out it restores 0.5 FP per second and my excitement went to die in a ditch somewhere. I play a caster with 0 Health flasks and only FP flasks and a healing spell. I'd have to wait like 50 seconds for enough FP to get restored to get a heal off. With my build I don't have any FP issues but even then a talisman like this would have been amazing if it increased more FP per second than it does.
Blue dew talisman is goated. Heal with an incant or blasphemous blade or something, and just run around and regen it back. Good way to avoid having to deal with enemies respawning.
@@mattsheehan3604 It's not going to sustain a dedicated caster, but being able to save a flask even on a mage build just taking a bathroom break between dungeon floors is incredible.
rellana's cameo is best used with any stance ash that can be spammed from what I've seen as doesn't look like the buff drops off until you stop attacking...

@@monhi64 Not sure why you’re saying it requires two slots? Is it because I was talking about how it stacks with shard? Because it definitely doesn’t require both, that’s just how I would maximize AoW damage. The stance holding is a drawback but I assume that’s the point given that you’re being allowed what is essentially double Shard of Alexander’s with an extra step, giving you huge ash damage. With prosthesis/rwsi, on a multi hit ash, being buffed by 30% without anything else, you deal monstrous damage. The holding of a stance for a couple seconds seems fair to me for that trade.
I've found that foregoing all of these minuscule little damage bumps and instead focusing all four slots on defense/sustain talismans has been exponentially more beneficial, especially in the new DLC where everything is AIDS. I'm doing dragoncrest greatshield talisman, erdtree +2, crimson +3 which I just got, and great jar arsenal for heavy armor.
Just a lil boring but it’ll work. Curious though, why are you going so hardcore on extra HP. I tend to avoid that cuz it’s just slightly more breathing room if you’re at full HP but ultimately doesn’t make you much more survivable because we’re hp flask limited. I believe there’s a talisman in the dlc that increases flask heals might be better
Honestly my fav is the one that increases flask healing, with the amount of damage that everything does it’s single-handedly been the reason I beat radahn
I’m digging the magma talisman at the moment. Running double magma blades, shard, and magma talisman (along with the usual buffs) does some serious damage.

For this content to be out this quickly AND still at this quality is insane. We are witnessing a HoF run on Elden Ring RUclips rn
Rellanas cameo is OP for katana/milady users. This compliments sword stance and unsheathe beautifully, and the visual/audio indicator makes it easy to detect that the buff is active. With my play style I would definitely prefer this over any of the rotten sword insignia/millicents prosthesis options.
The crusade is an incredible talisman. I agree. The Green turtle is great for the Furnace golems too. Rellana’s takes to long to activate. The blade of Mercy would be great in Bloodborne 😂 But my Clawmark runes are plenty.
My current build is Faith and I stopped levelling Mind once if found the blue Blessed Dew talisman, it is brilliant. I could also shift some blue potions back to red ones. Since you never have nearly as much FP as HP the regeneration is VERY useful. By far the best talisman in the DLC (for me anyway)
I think the Blessed Blue Due Talisman is a bit weak because 1 FP every 2 seconds isn't great when you have like a 400 FP bar. It'd be way better if it did a percentage of your max FP.

I probably wouldn't have rated Crusage Insignia as high myself given its limited use in boss fights, and I typically don't find myself lacking damage while fighting regular mobs. Blade of Mercy definitely has more value in the fights where that damage really matters, and Two-Handed Talisman is also really dang good.
I'm using that Blade of Mercy talisman coupled with Dagger Talisman and Assassin's Crimson Dagger talisman. Best experience ever with my parry&crit build. I can also save my flasks by backstabbing poor enemies and getting back my HP bar, but also making serious damage.
Blue Dew Talisman is one of two items I was really hoping would be in the DLC. Equip it with regular Blessed Dew and you can conserve all your flasks for emergencies. In between fights, just stand around and go make yourself a sandwich or something and you'll return to full strength. Other item I hoped for was a catalyst that would let you cast both Sorceries and Incantations. The Dark Souls games had items like that but it looks like they skipped it for Elden Ring. Oh well.

A lot of talismans are now for explorations and I love it. Mana regen? HELL YES!!! If you are a melee build and have Blesing Boon, you have almost free cast of it :D Better turtle talisman? Block counter builds have a field day :D plus the other talismans that support it. Two-Handed sword Talisman? wanna more bonk dmg? We got you covered :D Shattered Stone talisman? If you wanna kill enemies with your feet, go on, have some fun...They call me Stompy... STOMP, STOMP STOMP :D :D Crusader insignia - you kill something, you get boost to dmg for 20sec... not that usefull for exploring, but when you know where the enemies are....the enemies are now just buff dummies :D :D And I have explored only half the map...there are a looooot of new posibilities...man the potential of new builds TT_TT Btw. Will you revise you "Insert weapon type" weapon are the best weapons series, or will you do additional videos to the original? We have some new interesting weapons, like a Axe/ Greataxe that has Normal + Lighting DMG, but has STR+DEX+FAITH scaling......its a bit confusing....
I switched Ritual Sword talisman for Crusade Talisman, its just so good for Legacy Dungeons. And i usually switch out that talisman slot for Dragoncrest during bosses anyway
I imagine the buffs are applied sequentially. 20% of ten is two, making twelve. If it's applied as two 10% youll get 10+1 for the first application then 11+1.1 or 12.1 for the second which is 21%
I agree Rellana's cameo needs a speed buff to be viable, but my overral top 1 would be the two headed turttle, and im trying to get the two-handed weapon one but the buff doens't seem that good to make it top 5 honestly...
So I have a potentially silly question about rellanas cameo. Because it provides an aura buff would that cancel out something like golden vow?? Or is the aura simply there to visually show the buff is active rather than it actually being an “aura” buff?
Blessed Blue Dew instantly makes the game feel so much better, even if at the cost of a talisman slot. It's one of the biggest reasons why Convergence feels so good to play.
The healing buff +1 is number one, maybe in the whole game, i dont see anything coming close, yes in legacy dungeon or « easy content its not that usefull » but when it’s hard its gamebreaker.
It's odd for me that talismans are used "for builds". Or that people just set up some talismans and never change them. My approach is to change up the talismans with each boss encounter, depending on what kind of resists or buffs I need for that specific boss.
@@michaelbarnes2126 I’m not sure about elemental weaknesses but I know you can use a dragonwound grease consumable as well as the ancient dragons blessing consumable you get from the dragon altar. Also keep in mind that the NPC summon sign is inside the arena if you need him, good luck :)
@@michaelbarnes2126 People have been saying Frostbite and Scarlet Rot work well on him. I used bleed, which he’s supposed to resist. I am however running a high dex-arc build utilizing the successive attack charms, so most of my damage was raw ar not bleed. The tail is good for safe damage, just be careful of his sweeping attack. He has a weaker spot, his left hind leg, which takes more damage than the tail, but it is a little hard to reach. Frankly though, if you’re below Scadutree blessing 6, I wouldn’t try him. At blessing 5, with 60 vigor, his basic bite grab will one shot kill. And he uses it a fair bit. Most of his BIG attacks OHK. At 65 vig, blessing 6, you’ll survive with a little bit of health.
That's a Great Katana, using the Ash of War Savage Lion's Claw. It's basically Lion's Claw 2.0, with an additional input which does a second backflip. The AoW itself is right in the beginning of the dlc, if you follow to the west of the very first site of grace.
I see a lot of people talking up the crusade insignia. I personally don't really get it like its fine I guess but do you really need a dmg buff that is just active when clearing out trash mobs? As mentioned in the video it does nothing in a boss fight where I would say you need it the most.
Only one real legacy dungeon in shadow of the erdtree. Shadow keep. All other dungeons was small and fast. Nothing like Stormveil castle or academy or volcano manor. Every legacy dungeon was big and full of stuff. Those dlc Dungeons felt like just running to the boss. couple enemies on the way.
I mowed the lawn and felt productive but see that FextraLife has released 20 videos in today and now feel useless. Silver lining… now I know exactly what to do in DLC. Imagine playing blind.

This is the very best talisman I’ve found so far. So useful when fighting bosses especially and exploring.

Absolutely, I even changed all FP bottles to HP for my melee build. I only use low cost arts and a few utility spells. Its such a nice substitute.
I don't even care if it's good or not just the quality of life to always have fp when doing open world or dungeons is so nice

Blue due talisman is timed perfectly with the Darkmoon GS buff. You know exactly how much time you have left and can rebuff at the end.

Supposedly there is a staff that does Incantations and Sorceries, but its scaling is terrible.

I imagine the buffs are applied sequentially. 20% of ten is two, making twelve. If it's applied as two 10% youll get 10+1 for the first application then 11+1.1 or 12.1 for the second which is 21%

Deflecting hardtear really needed to be a talisman. Changes the game, but needs to be useful outside of bosses.
I agree Rellana's cameo needs a speed buff to be viable, but my overral top 1 would be the two headed turttle, and im trying to get the two-handed weapon one but the buff doens't seem that good to make it top 5 honestly...

So I have a potentially silly question about rellanas cameo. Because it provides an aura buff would that cancel out something like golden vow?? Or is the aura simply there to visually show the buff is active rather than it actually being an “aura” buff?

Blessed Blue Dew instantly makes the game feel so much better, even if at the cost of a talisman slot. It's one of the biggest reasons why Convergence feels so good to play.
The healing buff +1 is number one, maybe in the whole game, i dont see anything coming close, yes in legacy dungeon or « easy content its not that usefull » but when it’s hard its gamebreaker.
Man, even though I'm primarily Colossal Sword, the Blade of Mercy does nothing for me because i almost never catch the critical. 😅
It's odd for me that talismans are used "for builds". Or that people just set up some talismans and never change them. My approach is to change up the talismans with each boss encounter, depending on what kind of resists or buffs I need for that specific boss.
I've been 2 handing since demon. Souls, so the 2 handed Talisman was a godsend.

@@michaelbarnes2126 I’m not sure about elemental weaknesses but I know you can use a dragonwound grease consumable as well as the ancient dragons blessing consumable you get from the dragon altar. Also keep in mind that the NPC summon sign is inside the arena if you need him, good luck :)
@@michaelbarnes2126 People have been saying Frostbite and Scarlet Rot work well on him. I used bleed, which he’s supposed to resist. I am however running a high dex-arc build utilizing the successive attack charms, so most of my damage was raw ar not bleed.
The tail is good for safe damage, just be careful of his sweeping attack. He has a weaker spot, his left hind leg, which takes more damage than the tail, but it is a little hard to reach.
Frankly though, if you’re below Scadutree blessing 6, I wouldn’t try him. At blessing 5, with 60 vigor, his basic bite grab will one shot kill. And he uses it a fair bit. Most of his BIG attacks OHK. At 65 vig, blessing 6, you’ll survive with a little bit of health.

What weapon are you using in this video? Forgive me if u showed, but what a preety weapon art is that two back flips
That's a Great Katana, using the Ash of War Savage Lion's Claw. It's basically Lion's Claw 2.0, with an additional input which does a second backflip. The AoW itself is right in the beginning of the dlc, if you follow to the west of the very first site of grace.

I see a lot of people talking up the crusade insignia. I personally don't really get it like its fine I guess but do you really need a dmg buff that is just active when clearing out trash mobs? As mentioned in the video it does nothing in a boss fight where I would say you need it the most.

Only one real legacy dungeon in shadow of the erdtree. Shadow keep. All other dungeons was small and fast. Nothing like Stormveil castle or academy or volcano manor. Every legacy dungeon was big and full of stuff. Those dlc Dungeons felt like just running to the boss. couple enemies on the way.
