Hi! Do you have any carriers with as sturdy waistband as the artipoppe but with hood?

What front facing carrier do you recommend?

The front facing/facing away position isn’t needed at all - babies generally aren’t bothered by it, as long as they have an open field of vision & aren’t too “cocooned” into their sling. The front facing/facing away position is usually less by us as adults - babies usually want to be able to see your face & to see what you think about what you’re both seeing. However, if you want to face your (awake & alert) baby away from you for short periods of time, once they have nailed their head & neck control, then the Tula Explore or an ErgoBaby Omni are the best for that position.

Just looks too wide at the top and lots of head wobbling. It also doesn’t look great fitting on your shoulders (might just be the demo doll tho, floppy things!)

It is really wide at the top once you’ve got the extra band in because the extra band bunches it at the middle of the body panel. With an actual child, with an appropriate amount of muscle tone (as opposed to a floppy demo doll) it would be fine. Not the best “facing away” position though. 🤷🏼‍♀️

How many buttons at the bottom near the waist belt need to be buttoned for a baby at 5 months? Does this need changing from the facing in position?

We’ve never had luck finding a comfortable facing out position with the Artipoppe. Should the waistband be on the narrow younger buttons or the widest?
