My dear baby sister got married a few weeks ago and I just wanted to let you know that this video was a life saver for me! She realised she needed a director, like 8 weeks before, and asked me to be that person on her big day! I loved it! And it freaked me out! :) first thing I did was creating a to do list, a check list, a time line for the day. And this video helped me a lot, I could put some to check and to do things on my list after I watched this video. They had a tight budget but I had plenty of room to master my DIY skills! You must know, Im all about planners and structure in my life. I have a feeling that came in handy for this job! Thanks Nikki, you did a great job on their wedding and helped me a lot with this one! Your son and daughter in law are so lucky to have you to plan and decorate their wedding for them. I don't have such luxury plus I am on a budget (so hiring someone is out of the question) and I want things a particular way. It's less than 5 months till my wedding and some days I don't feel like having to do any wedding planning or even thing about it but I know it will bite me in the behind if I leave everything to the last minute. Don't get me wrong... I love planning but its just overwhelming.

My husband and I made CDs of all the music for our wedding but what was so special is we asked all our guests to provide us with a piece of music to add to the play list. It made for an interesting and eclectic mix which was very personal to our loved ones and us ☺

I just found your video and instantly started taking notes, I'm planning my wedding and bridal shower with help of my mom, aunt and best friend but still feels like the pressure is all in my shoulders and sometimes i get super stressed, my wedding is in June 17th and my bridal shower on may 6 and it feels like is all gonna happen next week I sure do wish you where my godmother and plan my dream wedding.

Nikki - You just ROCK! Great Job! Love the advice about the rings. I have been married almost 31 years now and have upgraded my ring only once and its still not a big stone by today's standards, but I am fine with it.
