Also looking for a place o retire on SS alone, Is Mosta not too cold in the winter?
I grew up in Southern California, famous for mild winter.
These days its less colder but we had a winter like very cold recently.
I suggest to go in summer time.
Mostar has the mildest climate in the continental region. It's very nice and hot in summer, but dry. Not really humid. You will get all 4 seasons in a way they are supposed to be. The winters don't usually go below freezing mark and there is hardly any snow. In summer time, the trip to the Adriatic see is just couple of hours away. Many people go there over the weekend.

I'll tell you a thing. We have got a fast train Mostar->Sarajevo and the other way around. The returnt ticket cost about 5 euros, but you have to book it in advance.

sorry don't remember the bus company, but go to the station, next to the train station, they will tell you all you need to know.
