Sapphires are also a big money making point in animal jam - what makes them special is the fact that they take a bit of effort to get. If that rule was put in place, no one would buy membership with real money because everyone would have thousands of sapphires and could just get all the member things without spending a dollar. AJ needs money, it's what runs the game and makes the updates. Being able to trade for sapphires might seem like a nice thought, but it just wouldn't work out in the long run.

If there was none of that prepared in case someone did trade their only animal, it would probably glitch out and think the person just started animal jam play wild, so it would say the session timed out or something then yeah. It was so funny how they were banned for trading their only animal though XD
