A Scarcity Of Miracles is a significant addition to the extended King Crimson family.
When Robert Fripp and Jakko Jakszyk got together in February 2009 neither expected that their initial sessions of guitar-only improvisations would result in a full-blown album, or that it would ultimately be deemed to be a King Crimson projeKct. As the material from those first sessions developed it was obviously becoming much wider in scope and scale. The arrival of sax player and former King Crimson member, Mel Collins, added further colour and texture to the emerging songs. The line-up was completed with the addition of bassist Tony Levin and Porcupine Tree's drummer, Gavin Harrison (both members of the 2008 incarnation of King Crimson) adding their parts to the material in their respective studios.
What had begun as an exchange of ideas had now grown into an album of heartfelt songs, an album that is immediately accessible on first hearing but reveals fresh detail and depth with each subsequent play, as one might expect from musicians of this calibre.

Beautiful and harmonically rich beyond expectations. This is real music.
Interesting music❤❤❤ Play it again, mysterious 🎶🥀👍🎭everything changes ❤
First time getting to hear this piece in the earlier stages. When I first heard the version with King Crimson I just adored the song .
This is really interesting . I went to two shows in the Bay Area. I was hoping to hear it but though I didn’t get it in the playlist I sure wasn’t disappointed. Still, though the band was playing to their earlier years this song fits to me. A huge gift after loving the band for years to see the group perform . I love the 80’s stuff with Adrian and will be coming to whatever show is nearest but I still hope for more with that ensemble with the three drummers and Jakko
Brilliant!
Wow. Thank you. This one took me home.
I'm a writer and this inspires imagery of all sort begging to be written on a page. Wonderful music.
marvellous.
Geniale

This track is wonderful, moving and disturbing. Stands with the best Crimson of any era, IMO. Mel Collins' playing is magnificent.
Dead souls trapped under the water, staring into the sky in eternal unrest. I find it miraculous that the words "The light of Day" could be weighted with such existential dread and skin-crawling beauty.
Fripp is a special forces guitar player.
A good mix of the past time…
Fripp and DMG are their own worst enemies...flagging videos of people giving reviews of their albums and showing the contents of boxsets. They clearly dont understand that KC is mostly a niche band and free publicity is a good thing. Good gravy.
Agree, this is some good stuff, but obscure, could definitely benefit from some exposure. To me, the reviews/reactions and whatnot, are kind of what a visit to Tower Records used to be for me, I hear new interesting stuff, and then I go buy it, good gravy indeed. 😁
Yeah, most people will never see The Light of Day. (*hear)
I have to locate the rest of the finished ProjeKCts. I need to know which of them is my favorite.
but no scarcity of atmosphere
The Album Could have been a King Crimson Album, it got the spirit and the expression we feel in every past Album and it doesn't sound like T-Rex
The live version played with King Crimson is superlative but I enjoyed this earlier recording. I heard the live version prior to this
