Demo versions, final album versions. Imaginaerum is the outstanding Nightwish album. Written with songs Anette ‘could do’, and with Marko adding lots of weight to the vocals. A real achievement for Tuomas, Anette, Marko and the group as a whole.
Hate to say it but as much as I love Imaginarium, these demos have more meat to them! I kind of hope Tuomas goes back to a more stripped down sound on the next album regardless of the new vocalist! I'm sorry Annete, Marco, and Empuu really shine on these tracks where the final versions pushes them to the side through overproduction!

I'm glad they left the electric guitars out of the chorus...I love the transition in the final version from the bridge to the chorus, the heavy feeling to the more gentle rhythm...but still, sounds awesome. :D
Its really clear from these demos that they used a lot of the demo vocal takes on the finished album - particularly for Anette. Just shows how high the quality of their demos are.

I adore how dark the lyrics are in this song, it's fantastic as a whole piece and these demo's are amazing!
Preferably better than the Album version, the heavier sound is more my taste the album version seemed to lack what the demo's have
It's amazing how 4:38 to 5:10 already sounds so close to the album version!

great song, but I'm very happy that they cut out the power metal choir before of the chorus... sounds so irritating... 1:17
