But, you have to film it like a 007 movie...........
Bryan Walters 🤣🤣🤣
Black Hawk Down
As my dad told his commanding officer in Vietnam, he was wearing LBE, I was firing at that.
I love when EOD Techs point out every mistake in “The Hurt Locker”.
I really like that explosives expert, he's really interesting to listen to.
He's awesome!!
At least he was smart enough to join the Air Force.
#321st Training Squadron, Lead, Follow, or Get the Hell Out of the Way.
@@OffensiveJestr how do I laugh harder?
@@happywasteoftime ask the Army to issue you a sense of humor?
Soulsphere001. He’s funny
the only thing I found accurate about Hurt Locker was towards the end when he is in the grocery store and just feeling overwhelmed with all the options.
Yep, that was me when I got home. Too many choices, I got used to just going to the chow hall and getting whatever the TCN's were serving up. The other thing for me was not being used to driving when I got back, it took three weeks of me keeping it local before I could back in the saddle ( having been the upgunner I've found that the law frowns on people just standing out of sunroofs).
@@Themagnificent7th hahah yep, and shopping for clothes after not having so many options at the FOBs, and well, swerving going under bridges I found is rather frowned upon in the civilian world. But I've adjusted well enough, still hate people in general though
@@mariahernandez-zc6nw same, civilians just don't understand.
I've been home from Iraq for 12 years, and I still monitor the sides of the road for shit out of place. Part of me even misses the shitty tents and cots we lived in; life was much simpler over there. I didn't worry about dumb shit except completing my mission and looking out for my brothers and sisters.
Hi there@@mariahernandez-zc6nw
Would love to see an episode of you guys covering:
Tears of the Sun
Act of Valor
We Were Soldiers
Shooter
I 2nd that
3rd that
Yup
Yeah!
Was about to suggest tears of the sun and we were soldiers!!
The joke about rangers popping smoke was so accurate.
I’ve never heard a straight forward break down of the “hurt locker” as Josh’s your straight forward, with out a lot of bias (to either side) brings context to those scenes.
I died laughing when you talked about his CCells dying and he can’t see shit anymore! 😂
exactly! Great insight and funny as Hell and a charismatic bunch of personalities.
Also, it seemed like they got more things right than wrong, at least at a higher hit rate than the average Hollywood movie. Technicals aside, I've heard the movie was great for painting the atmosphere of serving then and there. I was hoping they'd address that so a dumb civvie like me could hear their feedback.
They got a lot right except who would be actually doing the jobs.
Joshua Bressel I watched Generation Kill while in the military.
@Joshua Bressel Thanks, dude! I appreciate the recommendation.
The Hurt Locker was received so well in Hollywood because from a film standpoint, it was a masterpiece of a character drama about a very flawed individual.
I'm still gonna boo it...
It also looks really really good.
The team/unit should have grabbed him after the first stupid trick and sent his butt home for VA eval or discharge. His kind of action could cost the lives his fellow techs and that cannot happen.
Well from a Grunt's standpoint it was a shit show garbage of a movie.
A flagrant disregard for procedures and safety is not a good thing to promote. I wouldn't work with a guy like that.😎
"Somebody popped smoke. Probably a Ranger." Haw! You guys are a hoot.
Honestly I love how you guys had an eod guy actually explain the reality of the scenes (especially for a hated movie like the hurt locker). You guys should definitely bring more career oriented guys for movies like real snipers, tankers, etc.
Hell yeah! We've got a lot of friends with a lot of varied expertise
I love the “little known facts”😂
I like the in depth depiction of "The hurt locker" was really insteresting
I could happily listen to an entire episode of Josh and his fun facts (and the EOD tactics and stuff)
Little known fact: Owen Wilson does not say "wow" in Behind Enemy Lines.
Wow!
Wowow!
Nooo way.
Fact check, please.... 😉
he says it aboard the carrier close to the begging im sure
I’d love to see reviews of comedic military films too. Like “Down Periscope” or “Sgt. Bilko”. Even “Major Payne”. LOL. Love your company and love your videos. And as always: thank you for what you’ve done and what you do.
I love Sgt Payne! anyone who scares off monsters in the closet by emptying a colt .45 into it is my kind of Drill Sgt.
As a Vietnam Veteran, I love this Series of Videos.
Thank you for your historic service and if you like them go ahead make your own. Come on and add to the fun.
👍
PAKTRA PRODUCTIONS --- that would be awesome !! Das Piper - give the BRCC crew your contact info and have them use you
I Would like to see an episode of you guys covering
The John Wick series
Oh yes!
I just want to hear what they have to say about gun kata!
@@PhoenixLyon Gun Kata is a bunch of bullshit lol.

Black rifle coffee is weak arse crap.

It really is pretty good it’s the only coffee I can drink black
Black rifle lives matter.
@@doughesson Did you come up with that all by yourself, or did mummy have to write it down for you?
6:27 There's nothing in the Geneva (or any other) convention precluding the use of a .50 for personnel. In most RoEs I've ever worked under you can use what ever you have available to remove the threat as long as it is proportionate. We were using Javlin ATGMs to take out snipers in Helmand because they were precise, long range and limited collateral damage. We used .50 MGs all the time to engage foot targets from vehicles and stag posts.
I'd like to see a review of Clint Eastwood in Heartbreak Ridge!
Seconded
Eastwoods fairy tale ...I 3rd it
Yes. This macho bs is bad for my hands. 🤣🤣
Oh, fuck yeah! Clint Eastwood is the man!
Hacksaw?
Full metal Jacket
Casualties of war
We were soldiers
Black hawk down

Oh snap I just left a comment for Hamburger Hill, because everyone else looked like they where going with obvious classics... then I clicked read more :)
I see you're a man of culture.
Full Metal Jacket you say? Alrighty then... DONE
(Check out our latest)
@@BlackRifleCoffeeCompany Hamburger Hill!
Growing up in the 80s and early 90s, that movie, and the book "Guns Up" were what got me interested in the military, Vietnam war, and eventually led to me wanting to be a marine sniper and learn all I could about Carlos Hathcock.
I know I see glaring things in HH now with what I've learned of reality, (still much less than most others though) but I'd be very interested in you guys thoughts & hilarious comments on it.
@@mrfixitusa6165 Same! Great film/book!
He was disarming the IEDs by hand because he didn’t give a shit about his life. That’s what they were trying to portray.
Which is a really bad quality to have as a soldier of any kind.
Marshall Thompson for most it doesn’t start that way. Do enough or have enough shit happen in your life mixed with that environment it happens. It’s happened to me on my third deployment. I carried a bullet just for me in my pocket. I didn’t give a shit about my life
Marshall Thompson so I completely understand the character. I did some dumb shit over there with my life.
Are you doing okay now?
Marshall Thompson nah but that’s life.
This has been my favorite one so far because little known fact: listening to that man talk about bombs is fascinating af.
Saving Private Ryan beach scene should be on here with a few rangers watching
@Snickering Ginger More than a bit... back when SPR released, the Omaha Beach scene was close enough to kick WW2 vets right in the PTSD.
@@Just_A_Dude Yes, the marketing for the movie was excellent.
And maybe a navy Beachmaster too .
“He probably sensed it” 😂😂😂 best line in the whole video
Joshua needs to be a regular. Dude is funny as hell
Right?!
I don't care which movies that you pick to discuss, because pretty much every video that y'all make is funny.
A Columbian Necktie is when the throat is slashed and the tongue is pulled down through the wound.
I was about to comment the same thing.
They were saying that the neck bomb is a uniquely south American thing, similarly to the Colombian neck tie. They weren't comparing the two in technique or methods.
I thought that was the Peruvian necktie... Either way, I’d much prefer a Glasgow smile...
@@NihilusTheGreat "Like they call Colombian necktie, that's a whole having a bomb strapped around your neck type thing"
The bloody eagle...they make cuts down the back and pull your lungs out through the cuts..
I am 55 years young and still love and respect all our Military forces. Love the facts.....and just how you guys teach or educate us civilians. Thanks for all you have done and continue to do.
Definitely *"Sicario 2 - Day of the Soldado"* (as the first Sicario has been talked about enough already)!
Glad to see you doing another one of these. Hope you'll make it a regular thing.
Really cool to see an EOD guy critiquing the Hurt Locker. I'd love to see a full length version of that, to be honest. In any case, this type of series, in general, is phenomenally entertaining. Thanks, you all.
I kinda want to see BRC's take on the longest day, The big red one, and The Dirty Dozen.
Little known fact these are my new favorite videos
you guys always brighten my day.
These videos are the best. Working in film and tv this stuff is gold.
"The three stages of bend hat brims" ;)
Great video btw.
Greetings from Germany 🤙🏾
Little known fact.. these episodes are getting better and better...
The movie Kilo Two Bravo is an amazing military movie based off real events, you guys should check it out. Siege of Jadotville is pretty good as well.
I love the deep dive explanation, this is what alot of other react videos are missing. super interesting and engaging.
I would be interested to hear more about these hypothetically "realistic" movies like Hurt Locker and Jarhead.
These guys are the some of the greatest human beings in the world because they are veterans.
Fun Fact: The movie Sniper Jungle scenes were filmed at Jungle Warfare Training Area Tully in Northern Queensland Australia.
Also Fun Fact: Most of us who went and did Exercises in Tully every year, thought the placed sucked 😜
definitely the best episode i've seen so far
josh is hilarious and the guys actually give some insight onto some of the things shown
Ok, one more suggestion. Another Clint Eastwood movie and one of my favorites growing up. Kelly's Heroes! Odd Ball alone makes that movie!
It was awesome having an EOD guy through that vid!
I love this series! Keep em coming.
This video and the one with Andy Stumpf and the other guy commenting on skydiving movies are your BEST
Be curious to get a take on 13 hours and Zero Dark Thirty.
Great choices for modern war films!
This has got to have been the most informative veterans react so far. Loved getting EOD comments
I would love to see a military movie that shows all the paperwork that has to be done and death by PowerPoint.
Have the movie start out at say the main action point of a cheese 80's action movie, then the rest of the movie is just all the briefings, then paperwork, then briefings about the paperwork, then new forms that have to be filled out that everyone needs to do even though we just filled these all out.
Cole Logan - holy f***. THATS too much reality !!!
The job ain't over till the paperwork is done in triplicate 4 times over with 3 changes and 5 briefings LOL
Don't forget the sexual harassment training even though in an Infantry Battalion.
@@doublenickle570 and an AAR

Still waiting on a review of how the Marines saved us from an alien invasion in 'Battle Los Angeles' :D
Or how the crew prepped and made battle ready the USS Missouri in Battleship........................
@@CplDon63don't care, I still like that movie, it's fun to watch. Too bad Rihanna is a link.
Hey that movie is cool as fuck.
JP alien capable to fly from another galaxy with only one goal to erase humans but somehow incompetent to produce a real alien weapon instead they just somehow fight with something very simmilar to human weapons ?
@@altergreenhorn Thing is though, maybe the "human like weapon" is just what makes sense. When we think of "alien weapons" we often thing of energy weapons or some intricate style, when that just might not even be possible or practical. Just like they don't have shields in that movie cause they aren't really a possible thing. Just science fiction.
But ya, I do honestly like that movie.
Deserved an abo. I have respect for people with high knowledge in their profession.
I want to hear Josh talk some more. He's awesome!!!
I think so too!
I'm a 20yr disabled Army vet, you guys need to do a lot more of this. I was almost crying, laughing so hard. It's great to see bothers getting positive reactions. All too often, we get criticized for upholding our oath, and following orders. The average citizen, has no clue what being in the military entails. Please do some more of these videos, some buddies would like to have a video night.
Really cool having a former EOD tech., break everything down... YES it's always funny when a bunch of guys just SHIT on an aweful movie, but the insight was a welcome addition!!!!
Keep up the good work! 🇺🇸
The more you know!!
Good stuff, guys. I really enjoy hearing people who know their stuff break things down for laypeople like me.
Looks like the old guy with the det chord is Lloyd Bridges. Original UDT diver. USN
HE TUGGED THOSE 5 155'S LIKE THEY WERE PAPER. Dude is a beast.
“If we aint BIP’in, we skippin” - Josh knows whats up!
The resistor symbol joke was the best...I miss hanging out with vets
Random Fact: Brass police calls are required on all battlefields mostly due to officer boredom. I'm happy to see the sniper was thinking ahead.
And yet he didn't have the PT belt. Clearly he has much to learn.
God bless these hero's, we owe our lives. I wish I could hug you right now,
Enemy At The Gates. 🙏 such a good film, but I feel this needs to be watched!
These are great. More reactions from professionals are always welcome!

@@jenniferloving9054 thank your grandad for his service. My grandfather flew B-47s and B-52s. He passed in 2002, almost 2 years after I joined as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician.
@@aevangel1 My grandad passed away in 2007. He didn't talk about his military service much. What I do know is that he served in WW2, the Korean War , the Cold War and Vietnam.
@@jenniferloving9054 The Cold War? That wasn't actual combat, I served in BAOR in Germany during the 70's and there was absolutely nothing going on the 5 yerars that I was there. At the time we Brits were in a bit of a do with the IRA in Northern Ireland and in the mainland and also after 74 in Cyprus with the UN troops.
Good fun Guys. Thank you for your (real) service.
I would love to see their thoughts on Fury
They won't know shit. That is world war 2. Very few today are alive and can say anything correct about how it was back then. I don't know these 3 veteran record but I would've guess Afghanistan or Iraq.. Whole another time and war method.
Watch the special features on fury they had several ww2 tank crewmen as advisors whether hollywood screwed the pooch is the question
I like that you guys included movies that are thought to be realistic instead of cheesy action movies and laughing at how ridiculous they are. I actually learned something.
I was praying for Mat Best and Tim Kennedy to be on this video together. My dreams are crushed.
There will be more videos. Don't let your hopes and dreams die just yet, buhdee.
I would love to see more of this series. Such a great way to watch war movies
Not sure about what era movies you are looking for, but some of the greats I personally would like to see your reactions to are "Platoon" and "Tora! Tora! Tora!".
I don't drink coffee but a few more of these videos and I may be convinced.
Could you guys react to Black Hawk Down? I would love to know how accurate that was compared to the actual events. Thanks.
Joseph Weimer well, Grimes went to prison for having a shit ton of child pornography.... Ikve also read that a lot of it is correct but they took a lot of liberties with it as well

The two movies I will love to see y'all do is Heartbreak Ridge and Saving Private Ryan
Awesome work gentlemen! Keep up the great work!!!
You are missing - the - point of The Hurt Locker: Jeremy Renner's character is insane.
He's not doing things they way they should be done and his squadmates dislikes him for that very reason. He's addicted to adrenaline. If there's factual errors in how rules of engagement should be followed, I'm rather certain that those rules has been broken many, many times. But that's completely besides the point when you make a movie about someone who's mad as a hatter.
you peer them out
this video is about if someone's doin right or not. regardless of what the character is like, wrong is still wrong.
Yes thats exactly what i was going to write . Right or wrong is based on context . The smoke was from grenade he popped at beginning which they didn't cover. Other than that they were just finding so hard for something they can poop out. Also the movie talks about how the teammates wanted the guy to use robot but because that's his character he wanted to look for it himself but also the "panel " didn't cover it.
I was in Iraq in 08 when Obummer changed the Rules of Engagement, there were thousands of pissed off service people and contractors.
@@OffensiveJestr Yeah, that ROE change was a fucking cluster fucker, bro.
