    Thanks. I am considering getting a pair of Founder 100Fs for my front left and right speakers for my current 5 channel system. I have Premiere 200Bs for my left and right channels right now. I am heading for a 7.0.4 Atmos system pretty soon. I feel like avoiding subs right now as my room is rather small--thus the 100Fs are under consideration.

    Absolutely love my Paradigm Founder 90c. I have a pair or 120H’s on the way and can’t wait to give them a spin. They will be the first hybrid towers I’ve ever owned.

    Slightly taller tower means you now need a new stereo amp for each that will bridge to 3000watts (at least ) 😁

    Great information here, not just about GE and Paradigm, but just what a difference in scale tall towers can bring. If you have a dedicated space (and the budget)large enough to properly accommodate them, large towers are the way to go

    Just picked up some Triton 1.R's and center channel xl. Love the 1.R's! I'm still playing with the toe-in angles. Haven't had the chance to hook up the center xl.
    You are the first youtuber to extensively review Goldenears! Thanks!
    I'm looking for a 2 channel amp to use on the 1.R's. Any recommendations on tube and solid states?? TIA!!!!

      Thanks for stopping by my channel. The nice thing about Goldenear speakers, they can be pushed easily being they have a high sensitivity. So pretty much any ss amp that pushes 150 watts or more will do But they can really shine when you put some power to them. My ss amps I’ve used with them are emotiva, Parasound, sunfire, ps audio, rotel and monolith. They all sounded very good but in comparison I have to give the crown to Parasound, of course those cost way more than the other amps. As far as tube amps the only ones I’ve used with my Goldenear speakers are primaluna and carver. I like my carver tube amp better. However I think Jolida (black ice) has good tube amps, rouge, cayin seem nice as well of course there is McIntosh too. Depending on your budget. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching

    Need a little advice. I am seriously considering the paradigm 120H vs 100F towers for a dedicated theater with probably 2 additional subwoofers. I listend to the 120H, and they were in my opinion absolutely incredible. However, since I was going to use a sub, regardless, I was considering saving the money and just using the 100F. I see you have a SVS PB16, and I assume you used that in combination with the goldenear towers? Do you think the 120H would be the better choice since it may give the larger presentation and even out the low frequency? Thanks in advance for the reply.

      Thanks for the question. The dilemma of choosing one model over the other is a somewhat fun challenge to have. One main reason I have powered speakers with subs is so none of my gear has to overwork to perform. However, other benefits are bigger soundstage, smoother sound response and who doesn’t love more bass. So to answer your question, always go with what your budget can handle. If it’s going to be much more financially smarter to get the less expensive model do that. But if your budget can easily afford the flagship, then obviously get that. Here’s why, not only will you be satisfied with your newly purchased gear more but it will give you better performance. At the same time, the speaker industry is rapidly growing and flagship speakers have been increasing in value lately, so it’s a bit of an investment if you ever want to trade them or sell them in the future. Also flagship models will usually have the most recent developments of design (app use, materials, etc). So again, if your budget can handle it go with the 120h. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching.

      @Audiolympian lots of great info! I really appreciate the thoughtful response. It seems like there would be a sonic advantage, so think I will save an extra two months and go for the flagship.

    Hi as you have both sub pb16 and xxl, which sub do u think is best value

    • @Audiolympian
      @Audiolympian  Год назад

      Full retail, I think the xxl is a little cheaper but if you could find them used I’d still go with the xxl. Smaller, 1600 watts, 2 12 inch active woofers and imo looks better.

      Thanks for quick reply, I ordered 2 xxl on discount for my 14 by 18 dedicated HT. Still to get it. But confused on sub placement. Also confused whether 2 would be enough for my 14feet by 19feet room

    • @Audiolympian
      @Audiolympian  Год назад

      @@tomcruise4g multiple subs definitely adds more room filling lfe depth. 2 xxls is more than enough for you. As far as placement goes, I’d always recommend one up front and one near the back of the room if possible. But the goal is to place them in different parts of the room that allows the sound waves to work together and fill the room rather than fight each.
