After I watched “Leaving Neverland,” it left a bad taste in my mouth, the way it was portrayed with the drones flying over a deserted Neverland, images of ‘creepy’ statues etc..the accusers painted this picture that they loved MJ and wouldn’t want to harm him, to me, at that moment made their story credible, I think if they came out that MJ was a complete sexual predator, that would of put me off. Even the music and the way it was edited made the viewer to become emotionally disturbed. However, as I continue to do independent research with an intellectual and open mind, it’s clear from the uncovered factual documented evidence (court depositions), Jackson’s family members (which contradicts with the timeline of the accuser’s narrative), the series of inconsistencies and contradictions, deep analysis from independent journalists and MJ fans that ‘Leaving Neverland’ is a BLATANT hit piece with the accuser’s story torn to pieces! The director has basically pieced his own story together based on unfounded claims. Period. No facts or real research. Victims don’t change their stories all the time and want recognition so they can start healing. nowhere does the healing start only when you get millions. You are on the witness stand under enormous pressure and asked very specific, detailed questions about sexual abuse which you categorically deny, yet you claim you did not realise you were abused yourself until at least five years later when your child is born.
I’m not typing this as an obsessive MJ fan, I did admire him as an incredible musical genius and humanitarian, but I wouldn’t go as far celebrity worshiping him or anything like that, he was just another human being, who had inner complications. Thinking MJ is no pedophile after long research does not mean you think he made the right choices in life or that he was not peculiar. My point is that it doesn’t matter if it was the most famous person in the world or the post man who visits my street…truth, justice and fairness should be conveyed through media. If true journalism was being conducted here with ethical and moral principles and not manipulating public opinion, documentaries like Leaving Neverland wouldn’t get the global attention it has.
