Dreams has ended up justifying the investment media molecules put into it. They've really contributed a lot of good to games. Also "a nightmare made in dreams" is a great tagline
I'm glad that this "liminal space" game is not just the usual corridor-pool-mall + spooky monster routine but introduces new spaces as well. The weird mood shifts and silly oddities contribute to the idea of a dream-like state so well. I really liked the masked monster as well, he just kinda sits there. Seeing this one in Dreams is also great, there are so many possibility with this engine.
You know stories of modders/indie developers pushing the boundaries of engines in ways never thought possible, and then getting a job working for a studio which helps them realize their ideas to their fullest potential? The person who made this definetely deserves that.

@ 11:55 runtime I remember hearing that Empire Carpet commercial theme song (though incomprehensible due to audio tuning) during a family visit across pond at my aunt's house in Walflower CT I believe is the county. I believe my cousin and me were around 7 or 8 years old, watching cartoons one late night when I remember seeing the commercial. Trust me and you both my lads, I'm not losing it here Lol I wonder if he remembers...? 🤔
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Backrooms are just a concept with open ideas. They are mostly Set in of based on Liminal Spaces but the things like this Explorer in yellow are fabrication of the artist. Some artist have a Story or concept Person either no Clip through floor or Fall through wall or just use an alternative Route and end up in a complex Matt Studios is one of this
Ok, one last serious comment. I don't know if it's just my glossy screen tablet, but the documents as in-game objects (vs separate screens) were nigh unreadable with the ambient light falling on them (or the lack of light in the ending). I'm not sure if it's just technical limitations of Dreams, but perhaps a voice over or captioning the docs would be in order.
Just played this by myself and only found out the game keeps going after "the end" through this video. Cool, but I wonder how I reset the game for good so someone else can play it as if it was the 1st time
Haha, yeah the false ending caught me out the first time too! There is a way to reset your progress too. The reset option is on the Dreams page (before you start the game).
Why would I call tech support in a 6969 situation? They can't find the flesh elevator button either. They would most likely redirect me to a guy in India telling me to turn her off and on again.
Exactly, it really feels like he cheated instead of just finishing the puzzle. He only got one of the shapes, there's no way he didn't just look up the code.
Nah man, one room had the six of hearts in it, the key had a diamond with a six, one room had a circle that turned into a broken clock pointing at nine, and the arcade cabinet had a triangle with an eight in it.
Slt, je l’ai fait et il est excellent mais je ne comprend pas comment se compte les point de score. J’aimerai monter plus haut dans les scores mais c pas possible 😢
Quantum entanglement doesn't have a direct affect on bending/folding space time. Its the odd property that 2 particles created at the same moment are both affected by something, even though only 1 of them is being acted upon at a time. If anything it might be the effect of UNfolding spacetime. Who wrote this? ... no, really. I want names and phone numbers.
I dont know why liminal spaces got shoehorned into horror. I think it made people feel uneasy and so everyone was like "yup, gotta be horror". Its more complex than that.
I'm sorry, but I really disliked the gameplay here. I really wanted to take some time to lookat and appreciate all the little bizarre details that make this game so captivating, but this player was just breezing through it, like he had seen it all before. I can't believe how many times i was taken out of the moment and thinking, "wait! Go back! Turn around! I wanted to see that!" This is one of the most fascinating games i've seen in a while, and yet i keep getting taken out of the experience by this frustrating playthrough. It's particularly irritating because i don't have a ps5 to play it on myself. There is also absolutely no way you figured out that phone puzzle yourself. You didn't finish the puzzle, leaving me with questions about what the developer did to make it solvable able normally. This is supposed to be a showcase, and yet you aren't "showing" the viewers the full work in earnest. I'm sorry, but I can't say Im impressed. I wanted to experience the craftsmanship of this game, but what I get instead is footage choices beyond my comprehension.
I just want to ask you one thing - don't call any game with portals and impossible spaces "non-euclidean". Non-euclidean geometry is completely different thing, which requires special engine. For example look at Hyperbolica, which is good example of truly non-euclidean game.
You don't even have a solid grasp on the English language, which I'm guessing isn't your first language, fair enough, but don't talk to me about Euclidean nature in a language you don't fully understand.
There's one question we all must be asking. Is there a full version of the microwave song somewhere? That shit absolutely slaps.
I’m so glad I wasn’t the only one in awe of the microwave song.

I love how Bobbert never loses an opportunity to dance lol.
Also, I love how he flexed in front of the monster at 38:26, like, "look, fk you" lol

I'm really surprised that this is possible in Dreams. Especially the non euclidean stuff. Had no idea it was capable of that.
Portals. It has nothing to do with non-euclidean geometry.

no chasing monsters needed, it is scary on the merit of it's environment, well done creators of this game.

That's why we never see microwave ads on TV. They shielded us from such bangers for our protection. Else we would headbang to them to death.
