- Monday caught NF D40LFR on route 83 since Bladensburg division has some NF D40LFR now. And now at Northern division are a few 6100s NF D40LFR as well.

These are ArvinMeritor axles.
I remember this past summer when some 6100s were at Montgomery. I used to ride the full Z7 route on one of these. boy, I miss them. also, when are the new XN40s coming?
+Mike Minsk The new XN40s should be delivered this summer so far I haven't heard on any news on them yet but hopefully soon
WMATA1000 maybe once the XN40s arrive they can move around a NABI busses. if I were wmata I'd bring maybe 25 of them to Northern and paint some of them blue in Extra scheme because there will be a new 59 bus along 14 street in the near future. mayor bowser funded it.
Mike Minsk That would be nice to see some blue MetroExtra NABIs but once Northern gets the 59 they will no longer operate the 37 another will take that route either western or Montgomery division. But in general WMATA needs to order more MetroExtra buses because there not that many in our fleet to cover all the MetroExtra routes I'm hoping that some of the new XN40s will have some painted in the MetroExtra Scheme hopefully at 20 of them. I kinda wish that WMATA would get some MetroExtra tics for real heavy ridership routes like the 79, S9, and X9.
WMATA1000 metro needs to order more artics for Montgomery because routes such as the Z line are always so crowded, and Montgomery's artics are always on the 70
