MUSICLOOK John Lennon & Cheap Trick - I'm losing you

Lennon nam in juli 1980 een vroege demoversie van "I'm Losing You" op. Deze versie, waarvan een deel op The Lost Lennon Tapes verscheen, werd op akoestische gitaar gespeeld met een drummachine , en Lennon overdubde extra gitaar en vocale delen. Producer Jack Douglas suggereerde oorspronkelijk dat Lennon Cheap Trick als achtergrondband zou gebruiken om op het nummer te spelen. Deze versie werd opgenomen op 12 augustus 1980 met Cheap Trick's gitarist Rick Nielsen en drummer Bun E. Carlos achter Lennon. (bron Wikipedia)

John loved CT. They are criminally underrated!
This version is far superior to the one on Double Fantasy. John's drawings alone make the video uber-great. It just doesn't GET any cooler than this! (Although... poor Robin Zander. One hopes he was at least at the session.)
