When going NG+ i highly recommend to unlock them all with as few points you can then work towards unlocking everything in all trees there. To switch inbetween the stances opens upp all stances at all times. Very fun!
Imma peep out Endeavor. I'm under the impression you can Tactical Retreat, and see through enemies (Which makes you invulnerable), regardless of Focus Points. So, in theory, Endeavor wouldn't be a Must. Could be wrong, hope I am:) (Edit: I stand corrected:) This helps a lot and now I'm gonna get the Endeavor skill when I get a chance. I spent some time to test it out and WHILE you do get a smidge of I-frames from Tactical Retreat, you're not as invincible as you would be if you had a focus point. The more ya know!) (Edit's Edit: I was wrong! You ARE able to see through an enemy and become invulnerable without Focus Points:) Which does eliminate the prioritization of the Endeavor skill. Still a good skill for those who can't really get to a Focus Point, but wouldn't say it's a Must.)
so i'm pretty early in the game, act 2, but i've been experimenting with the stances and so far i have yet to find a real purpose for Pillar. Why bother with what is effectively a passive block, when you can get a much better version of that with smash stance counters? It's not like they're particularly difficult, the timing seems to be about the same as a perfect dodge, maybe even more forgiving. The only uses i see are dealing with trash mobs when you're too lazy to actually fight them, and healing mid-fight (which the stealth spell also does). I feel really lame for just sticking with the default playstyle, but it's so effective that it's hard to justify the alternatives
Does anyone know what this attack is called so I was attacking an enemy and my staff did like a swipe move idk what stance it’s part of I don’t have Wukongs staff nor his armor
@@ACarpenter89 yeah if you find yourself getting killed a lot you probably need to play more passively. Keep your focus bar at least 1 point so you can use pillar stance to perch high and avoid damage. Eventually with enough upgrades you can heal while on your gourd with 3 or more focus points
@@StaySteven see I'm coming from a fighting games background and I've never really played this type of game other than God of war would be the closest. So do you think I should focus on pillar stands cuz right now I don't have any points in any of the stances. I have been focusing on different trees
@@ACarpenter89if you’re a defensive player I’d focus more on the thrust stance when you almost fully upgrade it you get a retreat by going into a light then pressing triangle when fully upgraded just when the enemy hits you - you get invulnerability it’s handy but you just have to time it right hope this helps I suck at explaining
@@sunnydakidd5048 I would craft armor and weapons asap. Every chapter unlocks new armor and staffs. Weapons first for damage then armor. Also pay attention to the armor abilities, some will help in certain boss areas
Hmm thats weird... sometimes the combos are unlocked using the skill tree. On the right hand side of every skill tree there is a varied combo unlock for all stances
Bro riiight. Doing test this means that your damage is higher the higher the health the enemies have. So this increases damage for first attacks and combos start ups. Very nice to have to smash stance heavy attack charge

I can’t do the smash stance the cool looking double hit what button you press?
I don’t see the endeavor skill in thrust stance tree
@@sunnydakidd5048 it’s not in the thrust tree it’s in the tree on the very left. It’s the last one you get. It may be a little bit mid game to unlock

okay so does secondary damage do more damage at higher HP or lower HP?
