The chitin staff effect does work it just barely heals you I think it’s more of a pillar stance thing against groups

Qing mallet carried my ass through the relic holders challenge. And the reward was totally worth it, the fanged cyan staff is truly the best weapon for fun imo. Qing mallet slaps so hard because focus points are hp also since dumping heavies heals you based on focus used

Spellbinder+skill build seems to work good too

Bruh it doesn’t make any sense to have accessibility as a factor in games like this. Obviously all the late game weapons will be less accessible, and then your own bias shows heavily. Also Qing Mallet and Tri-point Double Edged Spear could/probably should be S tier. Ignore accessibility.

The Dark Iron Staff can actually be made in the first run if you get the staff needed to upgrade it with the Bull king materials

I hate when they put these high tier weapons behind a wall because some players don’t want to play the game over again even if the game is awesome.

Seeing that the pilgrim armor is very good, do these make sense to make a "build" of when starting the game? I just played for 5-6h (spent probably 2 on the head dude in the forest). Any tips that can make my progression easier or at least a weapon to go for with that pilgrim set?

I am 200 hours into wukong. I think qing mallet and iron staff are the best

Tri-Point spear not S-tier is a crime. That spear literally easy mode that stay OP even in challenge/gauntlet mode. The flying swords, thrust stance buff, combine with retreat is just broken that it deserve the hard accessibility. Qing Mallet is ridiculously OP also but I can see how it require player with higher skill to be efficient, it's the most used staff for hardest Gauntlet challenges level

The Qing mallet is criminally underrated, if you are able to consistently do see-throughs, you can launch 4 point heavy attacks so often that your enemy is practically always staggered.

As someone who loves chaining see throughs, the Qing Mallet is incredible

Get the OG wukong amour the relics maxed n the dark iron staff its doing like 300 damage

If you get the OG wukong amour with the dark iron staff with all the relics maxed and defense curios the staff can do like 300 damage

Some items were buffed/nerfed with the new update but all current stats of the staffs are shown on screen!

I love pairing the tri point double edge spear with the Yaksha set and the see through curios one of if not my favorite ways to play in this game

It's harder! At this Scaling you cannot get hit once on some attacks or you're dead, no matter your build. Matreyas orb, Soul Remigration Pill and Life saving Strand might save you once each but you cannot make a tanky build that survives these hits. And Boss HP pools get gigantic! I simply was not able to get through the Great sage's Health Pool any more on NG+4, because i was too stupid to to complete the Game entirely on my other runs and missed a Talisman Slot and two Mind Abilities. So i deleted my Save and started from scratch xDD What works on this high scaling is the common Great Sage's Armor Set which boosts Defense in Relation to active Abilities + Black Iron Staff which gets stronger in relation to Defense so a really nice little feedback loop ;)

Just got the game 2 weeks ago. Got stuck on yaksha king yesterday. Gonna have to go home and fight him in the morning when I get off.

Its not even close to any souls like game in difficulty, bosses are challenging but not that hard, I love both of them tbh

See no evil venomous arm guards bull king chest and feet with the fanged cyan staff 3 cat eye beads celestial birthstone fragment amber prayer beads immobilize spell rock solid weavers need and father of stones spirit. The enemy will be under 2 banes at all times damage is unreal crits build poison heavies build scorch or thunder.

Bro said the fanged cyan staff is more accessible than the mei crown, when you need to unlock the mei crown before you can even attempt a run at the fanged cyan staff

Once you max out your status resists you become immune to status rendering a lot of the medicines not so useful so you can use the insect armor and turn all those medicines into ginseng pellets. Also the insect set is the best heavy attack spamming build in the entire game for this exact reason. But you should swap out the legs for the ebongold legs and swap the arms out for venomous arm guard. This build can trivialize entire bosses by just cloud stepping and chomping medicines spamming 4 point heavies

I like to crack that bull king S-Tier rating just a bit. First of all, I love(d) this armor! Not only looks cool, I played 3 +-runs with it and soulbinder, in a row. My takeaway of the power of this armor is: The easier the fights, the stronger it is. If you are able to allow yourself to get hit very often, than it's the best armor in my mind. You do not have to dodge most things, get focus for it and play basically a different game. But as bosses do more and more damage, especially with big hits, this feels less and less good. At some point (for me NG+5) I felt like it's not worth giving up on perfect dodge anymore. It felt super B-Tier to me and I switched to OG wukong armor.

For the gold set that you have as S teir, do I have to use the spine shooting funan staff or can I use the leechin6centipede staff instead?
