Love to see Joel doing the sneaky forehand lines. As a forehand dominant local who plays this course all the time, I still have never seen anyone other than myself hit the forehand line on hole 7 like Joel did at 9:16. Probably my favorite shot to do!
Wish I could “love” this video. Such a genuine and fun duo! Anthony, this journey of yours is amazing to be apart of thanks for continuing to share it with us disc golf addicts😁
Ring of Gators refers to some old Champion run from USDGC where disc had similar run of Gators on it. Disc often when working in got beefier or at least by becoming Problem was most of these discs were dark colors, an odd opaque blue, a grass green Innova used for green discs up to 2008/2009, Clear, or modern purple. Closest discs in production to a Ring of Gators Champion USDGC disc be it in limited runs when made, are Metal Flake Champion discs as most lack glide of a standard Gator however, Metal Flake Champion in the right darker colors due to heat in summer absorption of sunlight can become beefy like most USDGC Gators as small dome gets flatter and flatter when taking on heat, possibly going concave from heat over time.
Joel is the best casual personality in the game. Commentary and just messing around like this he actually comes off natural and comfortable in front of the camera and throws in enough humor that it catches you off guard. Most disc golf content is more shake your head and wonder how the sport keeps growing when total forced energy, inside joke duds are the first exposure a lot of people are going to have.
That purple Gator3 looks really really nice! Been eyeing them but simply got to many discs to try so been pushing a buy forward. Glad he sold out that stock @ Infinite, it seemed he didn't get them to fly off the shelves at first a few weeks back and always sad if a disc never finds a home :)
I just found a Joel glow Gator3 in a used shop. Bought it instantly. The gator, especially in metal flake, is one of the best forehand midrange discs out there. Need to try a pyro to confirm if it’s the best though.
I live in Minnesota and play daily. This year we really haven’t had much snow but I really enjoy snow covered rounds. Just watch your disc very closely, memorize we’re it landed. You might have to brush snow round to find your disc from time to time but you’ll have fun.
Great video! You should play with more Innova pros. I feel like that is a huge gap in RUclips. Be the champion that Infinite and Innova needs by bringing your incredible ability to make super enjoyable content to team Innova. If you do you should ask Innova for a sponsorship along with your infinite sponsorship 😉😎
Innova has become the old man of the disc golf community. Like can't you just imagine innova saying "back in my day" a lot and talking about how they aren't gonna "mess around with that new social media stuff" haha
@@JaredTG. 😂 I can because I am that old Innova guy but I have moved on since getting back into it with newer and better discs. Kinda like the transition from VCR to streaming lol
He's a hard guy to get a feel for, for sure. On tour he often comes off as annoying, childish, immature and just generally like someone you wouldn't want on your card. In this video and some others he seems really nice and calm. Which I guess would just lead to the thought that he's not really an asshole, just has trouble controlling emotions under pressure. Which is forgivable, we all have certain parts of our mind that aren't dialed in.
I know I am late to the video but I wanted to recommend Mind Gym by Gary Mack for an athlete dealing with their mental game. Easy read and can learn something new with each read and life obstacle.
Freaking love the Gator3. Usually I feel like you become a pros fan and then buy their tour series. I fell in love with Gator3 and then became a Joel fan because of our shared love bahhaa
maybe it’s just because i’ve only been following the pro game for the last 3 years or so, but i’ve genuinely never understood why joel gets so much flak from people. he’s always seemed like a really decent guy to me.
Joel seems like a really down to earth guy. He was pretty honest about his goals and struggles. Good match 👍
Agreed. He has really grown on me. I will definitely be follow him a little closer this new season.

Love the video! Nothing better than honest conversation and great hucks!
I'm hyped for this series. Great idea Anthony!
I know it’s cold when I hear those nose whistles 😂 then at 14:23 Joel “WHOA WHATTT” I lost it 😂😂
Need a nose whistle counter on this video. 😆
@@aaronmayhew2.0 🤣🤣 I wanna know how many and by whom lol
I appreciate Joel's candor. I really like him as a player! Awesome video! Great Content.

I'm a professional in audio, and just wanna say, 1 minute in: the music, the mixing and general usage of audio. Top quality.
Fun vid!
Series is looking tantilizing!
Looks like Colorado 😊
Beautiful

Fun video as always!

Another is Limited Run Metal Flake (Champion) Gators.
I'm Jonesing to play a round but I Had to work all last week, then it snowed Saturday morning. I guess watching you guys will have to do.

I'll probably play today. Most the snow has melted. My boots aren't so water proof anymore or else I'd play more in the snow. @@AlanS_DGC

My dude! 💪🏻 if you do make it to Portland.
Get ready for some big distance shots. 💪🏻
Joel is one of those players that you just trust everything he says and when he talks you just kind of listen.
Does anyone else feel thrown off with how chill Joel is when he looks so intimidating at first glance 😂😅...

Fun video, I have not tried a gator3 yet.
Late night posts for the late night goons
Late night goons 🤝🏻 wake up in middle of night goons
battery operated hand warmer. fingers hurt so bad getting snap on the disc in the cold.
Yes!
I challenge you to a floppy elevation disc battle 😆
Have you done a zone battle pack video yet? If not that would be cool to see

Got to check out clark centennial! Better of the two courses :).
Late night crew!

good, Joel
Everyone enjoy the great plastic
Putt for birdie (yes!)
I would LOVE to have a gator round with Joel. Heck, I would love to have a round with Joel in general.
🐊
Anybody else spot the GGG appearance?
Another great video. I think Joel should have given you 3 strokes as he was familiar with the course.

Because he tries to cheat at tournaments and bully his card mates. At least that's my understanding, saw it on coverage myself.
@@toddkauk6099 ahh, i was unaware of that part of it. well here’s hoping he’s turned over some sort of new leaf.
@@toddkauk6099 dang really, I need to see that coverage now. Do you know which event it was?
