Well, single player community is still pretty much alive for the 2001 game. Some people playing RTCW 1.0 online, but most of the MP community is playing Enemy Territory now.
That's right. At least the SP community is still alive, so you should take the time to check out the maps and mods that have been released for this amazing game.
Check out my ironsights mod for Q3A(not the VR video, that's ironsights with VR). I'm actually still working on it and improving the handling. Very easily portable to RTCW, in fact, I've ported it to W:ET, but the biggest drawback for me is that not all weapons have functioning irons. If you were to model ironsights on all the weapons I'd get the mod to RTCW asap if you wanted.
