I would buy one tomorrow if it was available in the US.
Hank Phillips hi hank i saw an article of the super cub comming to usa. not as nice as the ct125. whats chance of usa getting that model?😎thanks
Good luck with that. Americans are too effete for a bike like this. I had a CT90K6 that I wish I'd never sold.
@@king1ny The Super Cub has been here for a while, here's one I noticed on craigslist yesterday
sarasota.craigslist.org/mcy/d/sarasota-2020-honda-super-cub/7089352441.html
Honda CT110 expostal service bikes occasionally come up for sale. They are snapped up pretty quickly. A bit of a cult bike here in Australia.
I have a Honda Super Cub C125. Heaps of fun to ride. If the CT125 is released in Australia, I'd buy one without much thought and pass the Super Cub to my wife.
go for Xpulse from Hero Motocorp
USA....thumbs up if you want to buy one as well.
I would want one in Britain...I am a food courier...183mpg (claimed) and narrow for filtering traffic jams. Add in ABS front its a lot safer for a tired rider.
I doubt we will get it
I need it just to party! We will in 2022
@Kendrick Llama I literally looked at Honda last night. My area must not have it
@Kendrick Llama yes, I see it now! Thank you so much for updating!!
I owned a Trail 90 in the early 80s and it went where ever I pointed to. The split gear box with the low range allowed me to crawl up hills or drag out of bogs. I loved it's simplicity, gas economy and ruggedness. I wish I had never let it go...
This is the bike Honda should have made first on the 125 engine platform. Saving the best for last I suppose. Love it.
The very bike to carry on a motorhome, would buy one tomorrow.
Just buy specialized e levo
yeah would love on on the back of my camper van as a get around
Was thinking the same, only heard about this ct125 now
@@invictuscrown4026 wish we could get these in Canada nice and light on a rear carry tray...apparently you can get them at walmart in the US?
@@stevejeffrey11 I'm from europe tho and we still don't have them yet.
Dear Honda, please bring to the UK. Thanks 🙏
My wife is sitting here watching and she say's, "I could ride that!" Yes she could, and I'd love to buy one for her. Honda, just do it. Make it available here in the States!
As of nov 2020 it is . $3895.
Our postie delivers our mail every day on a Honda CT110.
By the way, I have a Honda Super Cub C125 which is a hoot to ride. My love affair with step throughs began in Laos in 2007 when I bought a locally made step through. I rode the wheels off it for eight years. The best urban transport on the planet.
Honda trail bikes from the 70's & 80s are always high priced and rebuilt over and over. They should sell these in the USA.
I'd never consider the Super Cub due to the design/color scheme, nor a Monkey because of its ergos/size, but I'd be all in if the Hunter makes it to the States.
Huh? That's how I feel...Love my 1971 CT Trail 70!
The Grom/Monkey/Super Cub are boutique bikes...Not to be taken too seriously.
@@OhioGuy82 The Monkey is a machine. It's like riding your couch down the road. Nothing boutique about it.
Kenny Rider A couch?? That’s asking a lot from a 125 machine with non-adjustable shocks.
@@OhioGuy82 I own a super cub. You're right about them. It's not nearly the old school Cubs and passports. Fun but it's something different entirely. I'd prefer just an undated model instead of what they made
It would be perfect for the USA, if they gave it a dual range transmission like the Honda Trail 90 of years ago
I have 1973 CT90 with L and H
I hear theres more torc with bigger engine so should make up for no low range and still have the good climbing low range
Must have duel range it has to be able to get 65 or I'm roadkill. To slow and the fancy e-bicycle guys are passing me.
You don't need it
@@guthrie1960 It's not going to get Dual Range for any country. And it will never do 65 mph unless honda makes a 250cc someday (probably will never happen) with a complete new re-design to make it slightly larger and stronger and more stable at higher speeds
I live in the mountains in BC, Canada. This. Would so much fun for coffee runs to camping, groceries and just bouncing around for fun. Maybe even teaching my wife how to ride.
Should be easy with the centrifugal clutch 👍
John Baker going up hill is usually a pain on a 125
@@Addy29plus5 yeah ...but it'll make it to the top of the hill! Everytime!
The problem is it can't do highways.
Magic Rooster it can’t do much but slow city traffic. 125 can’t climb hills, they can’t overtake
I need this in the US...yesterday!
MrRojoneck can’t wait might have to make a special trip to Japan for one
Careful with the import rules if you want to plate it, some states may prevent you from doing so
I want one too. Find out if that's possible.
It would be fun
I need it in the us with passenger pegs.
The previous CT110 in Australia is better know as the Postie Bike and has legendary status. Since Australia Post stopped using them and sold them off they are highly sought after on the 2nd hand market particularly by the Australian farmers. I think this new 125cc model for the right price would be an enormous seller for Honda.
Yes. I agree, I think they'd sell well. Nathan Millward or Nathanthepostman ( look him up on RUclips ) rode a ' Postie Bike ' from Australia to London ( also wrote a book about his trip ) He now has several CT110s here in the UK and does organised tours on them -' The Garbage Run' being one of them, I think.
geoff newman Thankyou will look it up.
Australia Post has not stopped using the CT110.
Thats what I was going to say
@@vegantard_5989 Yes it has, it now uses the NBC110.
Come on Honda, bring it to Europe quick. We could all do with a bit of fun when we're allowed out again.
Allowed out? Only thing stopping you is you
And a drastic fine. Can go up to a jail sentency over here, France. But, if you like to play around...
@@freddmi5212 - Désolé, d'entendre celà.
@@theelectricunicyclist9069 Merci à toi mais c'est revenu presque à la normale maintenant. Heureusement! 👍
They can't make them fast enough, sell a ton in the USA.
Ride on
I don't think so. I'd get one but I think it's to small to make it here in the USA.
Yep, I'll be in for two.
@ I'm guessing it will be the same top speed, 55 MPH (90 KPH) but I have no inside info on that I'm just assuming that based on the top speed of a Super Cub.
@ their is a guy how commutes on a super cub that makes videos. If you search Honda Super Cub you can find him. I enjoy his videos and he gives the good and bad of it.
Reminds me of the CT70 I had in my youth. I’d buy one for nostalgia purposes alone. I’m pushing 50 yo now, and it was probably the most dependable and bulletproof bike I’ve owned to date !!! Love it, and wish it was available in the USA
I wish Honda brought back the Dual Range Gearbox like in the CT90 Trail - that would be a Winner!👍😉
I have wanted a Trail 90 ever since i found out they exist and now this thing gets announced. A shame this doesn't have a Hi/Lo shifter.
I had a trail 90 for a few years. I cant remember what year the bike was. My buddies dad bought some property and we found it in a dilapidated garage along with 72 yamaha 125 enduro and a 76 polaris tx340 snowmobile. Got the honda and the yamaha running but never got around to the polaris.
My first motorcycle was a ‘69 CT90 and this looks like a pitch-perfect modern rendition. I love it.
Dual Range Transmission?
Yeah.... You had to stop it and put it in neutral. It had a small cable driven lever on the handle bars. In low it was flat out doing 20kph in top gear. Heaps of grunt for hills or sand but.
I want one here in the states. Years ago I had a 1982 Honda passport ct70 that looked a lot like this.
I'd zip-tie a large milk crate on the back and use it to run all my errands. Plz bring to the US !
Yes yes, me too. Such a great bike for around town and perhaps little bits off a paved road. I'd love to have one of these.
I don’t think you need to do that , I’m sure that there will be some accessories for that purpose
I use my CT110 2-3 times a week for short errants (25 miles or less 1 way) going to the grocery store, Home Depot, Motor oil drop off, etc... if I can fit in the basket on my chrome rack and no rain, I take the bike over my SUV anyday.
that's what i had on my trail 90. a plastic milk carton carrier. nothing better.
As of nov 2020 its available for $3895. Start buying boys.
When this hits the US, I will have it!! I had 1969 CT90 in high school and loved that little bike.
As soon as they put the Hi-Lo range on it I’ll buy one.
Mate it will climb anything don't worry about that.
I had a Trail 90 back in the 70's and I loved that little bike. I would buy one of these today just for the nostalgia of it.
I have been asking Honda dealers for years if Honda would ever make a modern day Trail 90. Honda sold tons of these in the US. They will sell a ton of these too! Can not get them quick enough here in the US!
From the US and I would buy one for a small adventure in a heartbeat!!!
You are rich. You have cars. You don't need this.
Americans are rich they use cars.
As of 11/2020 $3895. Talk to dealer
I currently ride the crap out of my 84 ct110, only thing id like to see is a aux fuel tank, and the high low range. That would make me buy a new one...
just picked up a mint 81 ct 110, still a fun bike to put around on,,
I’ve got a 71 ct90 bore out to 104cc
Love them. But I’m not sure why this guy is comparing it to the cub? Might as well compare it to the grom. I’m guessing they’re not comparing it to the trail 90 or 110 because there’s no hi lo trans.
airbats801 wear a fuel vest
Yes agreed. I also have a barn find 84 CT110, was virtually brand new under an inch of grime! I like this new 125 but frankly no interest in buying one as the 110 has the old vintage vibe going for it not to mention dual range tranny.
@@alphasportstv they are in short supply though...
This is perfect for trail riding to my favorite river and general field outings. If it comes to the U.S. I'm definitely buying one!👍🏼
Have you a adress of deajrs ? II am from Europe and I need at one this .
If they sell them in the USA I would love to buy one.
I had 2 1964 honda trails- both would run at walking speed with the big sprocket and the 55 motor- though the cc would differ due to many repairs over it's life time. They would go anywhere- so if the 125 has the low range option the later 90;s had I;m sure you couldn't go wrong
No high/ low option yet. As of 11/2020 $3895.
The most awaited one. It will have a overwhelming response from the customers. 👍👍👍
I had an 1966 s90 as a kid and my friend had the 1967 ct 90 that I always wanted. We had so much fun on those bikes that I have ruminated often about in the years that have passed. I finally found a 1978 ct 90 that I have fixed up. Terrific bike. The new ct 125 with dual hi-low trans is what people have been waiting for for years. Honda, why did you wait so long?
I'd dig one here in the US (Texas), even though I really don't have use for one... it would still be fun to ride around!
Seems the SuperCub is not a style Americans would like much at all. The CT125 looks pretty nice, almost 'military', especially in the brown.
I would like it here in Arizona.
Its on sale in Thailand right now! Wont be long before they are everywhere!! And these fun bikes are really welcome!!
That is so cool. It looks a LOT like a Honda my dad and I saw in CO when out camping in about 1970 that got us interested in riding bikes.
I am rebuilding a 72 CT90 after having had a blast on it for years. This bike is overdue for North America in general - I'm in Canada and would ride this micro beast through the snowiest cold just because they can!
Bring it to the USA Honda! Please! They are so cool and I want to buy one now.

It brings back fond memories of the Honda Trail 55s and 90s we rode back in the early 60s.
Great update! Thanks Motobob. I want 2, one of each color .
(I don't think you will need the old Hi/Lo transmission with the new engine). Subscribed . Juan
One of each sounds totally reasonable. Welcome Juan!

I own a 2011 Sachs 125 with 60,000 miles. I have been waiting for this. I will hope to purchase one. COOL MACHINE
"Could it perform off-road?" The CT90, which this is a direct descendant of, did perfectly well. It's what it was built for.
No one seems able to confirm one way or the other whether the dual-range transmission featured on the Ct90 and CT110 will be offered on the CT125. Great minds want to know.
Exactly! The 1975 Trail 90 I owned had this dual-gear switch...got to have that, as America has mountains!
As a teenager we had the old C90 used as scrambler on our pit tops, old railways ,canal banks ,and dirty farm lanes, the engine was bullet proof and they would climb most embankments and never turn its nose up at any mud dy lane very happy times.
Regards
Paul

I',ve got an 1986 ct110 i bought for me dad in 1985. Brand new in the crate. I got it with 130mi. On it , gave to the mrs. And am pleased that they're bringing it back after taking it off the market. Is a very sound trail get around town bike. It's still sportin the original rubber. I replaced one tube so far. Is a jewel. Think Japan is finally finished being mad at us. Lol
I so hope this comes out in the USA my husband I will be buying two! Currently I have the 2019 super cub!
I would buy one, brilliant for my back yard... Derbyshire's Peak District !!
That'd be fun :)
@ So go take them out.
Honda was always good at making these very versatile bikes, right from the get go. I am an older rider, and I remember we always took our Honda Chappy on vacation with us.
Anything we needed to do, the Chappy was there to help with it.
I can see the Honda 125 Trail doing the same kind of service. I live in H'town, and have been thinking of purchasing a utility bike to avoid taking my car.
But I did not want to purchase an expensive bike, as I only need something to ride around town, maybe even to Galveston to go to the beach on week-ends.
I sure will check it out, and from what I read, it is going to be a winner!
Perfect for the 3 mile commute to feed the horses, love it.
How about an electric bike?
I'm so very in love with the Cub bikes. I'm not a motorcycle rider but the Cub is something that would get me into it. Honda is one of my favorite motor companies.
I hope it has a low range transfer case like the old ct90/110a. This would give it great off-road credentials and yes...I'd want one if they sold in Australia.
Back in the 60s 70s..we had tge honda 90 and 55..great little trail bikes..we spent summers putting miles on them In the mountains!! All the families had one or 2 and we started in the morning and spent all day on them!!
BRILLIANT would buy one ideal for work and fun, would happily park this next to my GSA
Wow, we pretty well have these in Australia... Ct110 and the newer version.... Our postal service uses them and you can buy them after they replace them every X Kilometers. These things are unstoppable.
I like the look of it and it looks as if it would suit my needs quite well. Would have to see it up close, but my initial impressiion is positive. Hope they're available in the US soon. Great vid and stay well, all. God bless.
I have toured Europe twice on my Honda Cross Cub 110cc. Wild camping all the way even with my dog on the back. The Cross Cub was brilliant and averaged 150mpg and never ever broke down or failed me over 20,000 miles. I decided to go bigger to a Triumph Scrambler 1200 but if the Hunter Cub comes out in the UK I am temped to loose money and downsize to get one. These bikes are perfect for getting into tucked away places but they are easy to fix, punctures etc. My cub was hit by a truck on my last trip while in Italy and did a summersault and still carried on. I only got rid of it for more speed but with the 125cc I think a Hunter would do me better. Hopefully they will bring it out. I had to import the Cross Cub from Japan!
I'll be buying one as soon as the become available.
I learned how to ride on a bike that looked like that one. Though it was called a CT90 and it was 1973. Seeing that brought back some real good memories of when my grandpa bought 2 Trail 90's and an ATC90 three wheeler for riding at his cabin up north Michigan. Have ridden hundreds since then but that was the first.
125cc is enough to fullfill my happiness in a long ride.
I use one for work. Yes, I work for Australia Post. Even though they're regularly serviced, they're never washed & daily carry more than 100kgs of mail plus rider. As for how they're used, well being a "tool for the job" like a chainsaw or lawn mower, you never use either of those anything less than full throttle all the time. I rate them as THE most reliable motorcycle on earth, together with their diminutive size, would make a better world traveler than bikes that can't be easily lifted into a canoe on up onto the back of a truck without a ramp.
No two speed transfer case? It's very cool, but not having that is a mistake. I'll be looking forward to the first CBR250/300 swap.
Got the original Honda postie bike which I rode across Australia, would definitely buy one if they become available
@@simonrobinson8525 Sounds like an epic adventure, to be sure.
I think the new ones are cool, they'd just be cooler, and far more functionally diverse with a hi/lo. This is especially true in areas with significant elevation change potential
A couple of Kiwis attempted the Trans Amer Trail on Groms last year ('19). The lack of power at altitude forced them to push their bikes in places.
Since Honda doesn't (yet?) offer that gearbox, I think the next best option is an engine swap to maintain enough power across diverse terrain. Admittedly though, most will probably just be town bikes w/the occasional fire/service road thrown in for good measure.
Bought a ct90 used in 1970 in 78 I used it on back bumper of a motor home sold it in 1980. Never had a problem with it. Always wished I had kept it. Would love to buy a new one in USA now. Might even buy two.
Love the Hunter cub , would buy one if available in USA . Always looking for a good ct 110 or 125 , but too expensive for a beat up old turd .
People want 5 grand+ for the little buggers.
Childishwolfgang Well i’d only pay MSRP >$4,000
I have owned five CT90's thru the years, very similar bike. One huge issue is lack of fender clearance. You get in the least bit of mud and both wheels lock up. Clear the mud, go a few more yards and stuck again. Went to a 4 wheeler.
Would love one.
In some pictures I saw folding pegs for a pillion!? Now I know the cub is a single seat but is there a conversation?
Yes sorry - I had this in the script but there was a problem with the recording that I had to edit out. The rack can be swapped for a pillion seat
I wanted a 2020 SuperCub here in North America. I want a banana seat, like we see in Asia, so I can take a passenger. I want a small rack to bungee things, like they have in Asia. I'm Assuming they are not available because of U.S. DOT regs? Liability for Honda? Looked on a Thai website for these mods. Confusing and couldn't feel confident I wasn't throwing my money away. If I could look at a Cub in person, and see that the mods were possible/bolt on, I would buy one. I guess I need to wait for a couple of buying cycles and see others mods and then know I can get what I want.
@Phil M
I still have a yellow 1978 CT90 Trail in excellent condition with only 1,400 miles on it. Two things they left off the new bike is the lift lever that lets you turn the handle bars 45 degrees so you can tuck it close to the back of a camper or a wall. The other missing item is the detachable extra gas tank. The new CT125 is a great retro version of a classic Honda :)
I'd love to see Honda come out with a CB 300cc scrambler.
That would be my dream bike.
Just ask Allen Milyard
or 350cc !
The Hi-Lo shifter is what set this bike apart as a real off-road machine. I had a friend ride his up the back side of a Texas concrete dam at about 45 degrees. They could go virtually anywhere. Without it, it's just a cub with with off road tires.
I am in the US. Love it I would buy it now.
Damn... we rode the original Cub back in the late 60's! This is amazing.
I’m going to get one if they come to the US. I like the green color.

I've been waiting for this machine for years! A Trail 90 in great shape sells for close to the price of this bike without the better tech, finish, and a larger engine. Price is right on point. You will find this in my shed along side my Vespa VBB and '69 Bonneville.... Thanks Honda!
When do we get this in the USA???
As of nov. 2020 it's available for $3895
In the late 60's Dad bought a used Honda 55 trail. That bike could go anywhere. If this new version is as good, yes it will be good on the trail.
Looks like more fun than a person should be allowed to have..? I remember meeting Colin 'Texas Tornado' Edwards (world superbike champion) and asking him what was the most fun he's ever had on two wheels? He replied: "a Honda 50 on the beach in Texas."
IN the past, I have ridden the CT90, CL90, CT110, VF750, VT750 ACE, VTX 1800R. I would buy 3 of these if they have the high/low range, but only buy 1 if single range. I currently own a Valkyrie and Goldwing, and a few Honda cars. Every Honda has been reliable.
I love it! I’d buy it in a heart beat!

As my first bike was a 69 CT Trail 90 this brings back some great memories. I'm afraid it might be missing the dual range transmission the original had. That low range made the original the ultimate mechanical donkey. Either way it's good to see it back!
Hello from Canada - I would buy one right now if available!!
I as a fellow Canadian would be all over this like white on rice!!!!🇨🇦
A bike I rode over ten years.
Trail 90 .loved it many years
Killing me. In Canada all we get is a ruckus. No Super Cub, no Monkey, and probably no Hunter Cub either.
Reason number 483 not to live in Canada.
You miss the Cbr125 who was avalaible brand new a few years ago here in cdn but there plenty around 1000 $ at kijiji with less than 10000km . A much better deal than this Hunter with his poor 8 hp versus the 13 hp of the Cbr . If you don't like the look, just go to Canadian Tire and buy some camouflage spray can . I mod mine removing all the fairing , put higher bars , higher ground clearance , knobby tires . All this far below the Hunter price tag of 4700 cad $ if it was avalaible here .
I think you can get a Yamaha tw200 in Canada
fair wind Thank you. I will check them out.
As Peter has said already, the CT110 was the Strayan Post Office workhorse for many, many years and they command a decent price on the second-hand market. It was initially intended as a light ag bike, but the low gearing, half-decent suspension and big carrier made it perfect for hanging soft saddlebags and puttering along crappy footpaths and bad roads.
I didn’t hear anything about a low range. Should I just keep and restore my 1976 CT90?
Most of the comments are people wishing for that hi/low so I'd say you might as well provided you really need it. Otherwise maybe to could get this one and sell your current project.
Keep it. Parts are readily available.
i lived in the mountains and used the low range feature a lot on my ct-90
I own my fathers 1966 trail 90 he bought it second hand it spent many hunting trips into mountains of Washington State it’s now in my garage retired. It been well taken care of and looks nearly new except for the bent clutch handle when I fell over in 1979.
Why is there no mention of a dual range trans, do they feel it,s not needed?
My 71 is the most fun bike I have, with the dual range trans.
I needs the high low gears!!!!!!
bringing back the ol trail 90. great little bike, lots of fun
I would love to have one, but I imagine, since it's a Honda, it will be priced way more than I am willing to invest in a "toy" I have enough toys to keep me entertained. It would be nice though...
Invest and toy are two words that should never be in the same sentence. Perhaps use willing to spend on a toy.
@@chrisallen9154 I dunno. If I had a few of my toys from my past, they would definitely be worth more than I gave for them. 66 Mustang High Performance Fastback, 72 Torino Cobra Jet, 84 Jeep Scrambler, Honda 350 Scrambler, Honda Trail 110, just to name a few
Yep... I'd have another. When a younger man I did some desert racing, had a catalog of exotic this and that. But my best friend and I had a pair of these, the 110s, I modded mine a bit, we would drag around with us on road trips and camping, Canada to Mexico. Had more fun on those two bikes than you can imagine. And they always ran.
twenty bucks says it's not coming to the NA
You're probably right
Love the looks of this little bike , looks like you could have some fun just getting you out for an enjoyable day out with no bulk to worry about, and if you come across a bit of rough stuff then theirs nothing stopping you exploring the area. Put a smile on your face.
USA !!!!! I own a Monkey and SuperCub, this will also be welcomed
My Trail 90 cost $360.00 new in 1966 with the optional rear seat pad. I had a lot of fun with that bike. They certainly improved it in 54 years.
