Very good Video and quite on the point. I have the 11M Pro, Maglev 12 and Maglev 13 ... and after the experience of trying all these, I made a new setup for the Gan XS which funnywise is currently my main, even I didn't like it the time I bought it. For me, trying a big range of cubes is giving me this experience and feel to figure out about good and bad and finally find my own best comfort by individual setup.

I feel like if the cube itself isn't worth the almost $100 pricetag, that the unboxing doesn't matter.
That would be like if I buy the collector's edition of a video game and then say "The game itself sucks, but the experience of OPENING the game was worth every penny"

Yea I see what you mean. I personally really enjoy the experience of unboxing and using the cube.
Using your example, the gan 13 would be a video game with great controls, and graphics. While the gameplay and story would be decent.
If you want amazing gameplay and/or story, you shouldn’t get it, but if you love graphics and quality of life stuff, then you’ll love it.

Try the new yoo cube deluxe 2 (Tornado v3 but how cubehead likes it) i have it it’s very good
Love the Tornado V2, especially for the aesthetics of the black internals.
Speaking of, when Gan makes some new cubes with black internals, I’ll consider them. The primary internal trend isn’t my cup of tea…

I ordered the gan 13 before the limited edition version came out.
I also don’t really like speedcubing with stickered cubes. I have the gan chan and I could never really tell if I liked the cube or not because the stickers ruined my lookahead (I’m just not used to stickered cubes).
Ok, I like stickered cubes too, but I am a 12 year old who probably drained half my parent’s wallet on cubes, so I didn’t get this one, I got the same situation, I didn’t want the gan 13 cus it was 84 bucks and after ordering my Christmas presents, the LTM one came out

Is this cube completely worth it if I got it for 64 bucks on a sale?!
I'm not one to pay for an experience cuz I disliked the Gan 12 leap when I got it. But this cube seems to fix the catching problem and balance the core magnets too.

I would probably get it, but that’s because I love collecting cubes and stuff.
If you liked the feel of the gan 12, the gan 13 is basically that with lighter magnets.
It just comes down to how much you think you are going to use the cube. Some people will love this cube, while others won’t. If you’re willing to take this risk, then go ahead and get it before the sale is done. If you want something safer, just get the tornado v3 if you don’t have one already.
Also if you can try a gan 13 at a competition, then desire off of that!

I think I made the right choice getting the 13 and hope it competes with my amazing TV3!

I really don’t understand how people can have this cube as their main. I tried it like so many times and I can’t get sub 15 and I literally avg sub 15.

Yea the holiday season has kinda derailed my practice schedule lol. The good thing is that I’m at least doing a small session everyday, and I feel like I’m getting more consistent!
Also, I buy lots of cubes because I love collecting Rubik’s cubes. Will they make me a better cuber? No lol, but I do love trying out new cubes!!
that’s funny. My practice has gotten more consistent over the holidays. It’s because I’m off school i think. Being able to have my practice sessions in the morning is amazing.
What lube works best for this cube?

I haven’t tried mystic with the gan 13 yet, but I’m sure that it would work fine.
i havent even taken mine apart lol i dont want to risk breaking it since my gan 12 is broken (thanks to my dog)
Ouch that sucks
The gan 13 seems to be more durable than the 12. I haven’t managed to crack it yet. Somehow I managed to crack both my gan 11 and 12 when I first got them (they are still usable though)
The good thing is that there isn’t really any reason to take the cube apart, unless you want to clean it.

@@ferox1658 Gan has a better build quality imo. Granted I haven't tried a ton of cubes, but compared to the Tornado V3 and WRM 2021 it feels more solid overall (still doesn't justify the absurd price)
I got the matte version i had a question because mine is matte will it scratch a lot and if it does how can i stop it from scratching

one of my friends has one and i tried it and it's not even that good i would much quicker use my gan 11 any day
