I had the RS3M for about 7 months before it broke. 17000 ish solves. I got the UV Gan 13 and the pioneer tornado V3. Gan 13 is now my main. I average about 17 seconds. Got my first sub 10 solve on this cube and I also got a 13.03 average of 5 on it. Such a good cube
bro you dont need an 84 dollar cube when you average 17 seconds. You just need a good budget cube. Because once you get really good, there will be another good cube out thats better than your main
I personally love the matte plastic finish, for some reason, just because it looks good...haha😂 Also the finish goes off after a few hundred of thousand solves i believe
“Do you guys actually think UV is grippier than frosted?!” Dude. As a Canadian, I can confirm this: Frost = Slippery AF. Maybe for those with clam hands (palm sweaters), could like frosted, but frosted is only temporary anyways! So… why?!
Idc what people say the gan 13 maglev is the best cube ever cubes arent that expensive and if you are trying to get the best cube maybe it’s not ur favourite but get the cube that is considered the best then the gan 13 maglev is the best also u are the chilliest RUclips cuber lol
hey kad! i really am curious how you got this fast? can you reply what you did or make a video because i kinda have hit a roadblock in improving on 3x3
Kad, I've had the RS3M 2020, Gan 11 M Duo, and now the Tornado V3 Flagship. The V3 is my favorite overall but I have to admit I like the frosted plastic feel that came on the other two. I just wish it never wore off 😂. Honestly though, does it matter? As you said, the frosted/matte wears off anyway to a perfect in-between. But I'm not spending an extra $10 for UV.
Bro I got a GAN 13 Maglev also today however I think I prefer frosted because my gan 11m pro is UV coated and after 1 day of Cubing with it I just threw it into its box and locked it up in my cube drawer btw bro your vids are so underated you deserve more subs
Matte finish is a disease on modern cubes and needs to be gotten rid of completely. It only exists to make the cube look better out of the box but makes the cube feel absolutely awful to hold and try to actually solve on. And if anyone thinks that it semi-glossing over is a benefit, then what's the point of the matte plastic in the first place? It's just bad.
This is why I was so disappointed that the Gan 11 M Pro only had black internals with the “frosted” finish. I would have bought the UV version with black internals in a heartbeat! Instead, I have to buy the UV and frosted black internals and put them together to get that. Somehow, I feel like Gan will justify not having black internals on new cubes because “They didn’t sell as well as the primary.” Yeah… because 3/4 versions were primary internals! And the most premium options didn’t even have the option of black internals! Ugh…
@@WTF-Cubing I was in a similar spot when I bought my 11, I wanted the black internals but went with UV for grip. Over time, I grew to like primary internals, they make the outer shades a lot brighter. Still, taking away options we previously had (minus the soft coating, I've heard they haven't aged well) is lame. Maybe we'll get the 13 added to the Infinity service; would love to try something like pink internals with half bright stickerless shades.
I learned you existed when cube had made the video teaching you how to make a banana in a video since then you improved a lot Can you make a banana video v2
It's hard to say because I like both cubes and they both have certain things I like. The price difference would make me say the tornado v3 is the way to go.
With UV you get good grip out of the box, with matte plastic it takes a lot of solves before the plastic start getting glossy and the grip improves. I'm not sure if GAN changed their matte plastic or if it's my sweat / skin oils that changed, more recent cubes are taking a lot more solves before they start getting glossy and grippy. When GAN started using matte plastic it would take about a 1000 solves for the plastic to feel glossy, now it takes over 5000 solves before the matte finish starts to get glossy. On the upside, it doesn't seem to scratch as easily, but on the downside you will probably have to do way too many solves on the matte one before it starts to feel good. I'd rather just get the UV and skip all the pain.
Your turning style is absolutely incredible

Love you videos keep up the great work
congrats on 10K subs :)
Frosted plastic’s grip depends on the stability of the cube, while ur coated is a single setting of grip.
Do a review on Tornado v3
I like mat and I have it on 2 and 2 I did the same lube as you
I personally love the matte plastic finish, for some reason, just because it looks good...haha😂

I don’t find too much of a difference between uv and matte but uv looks cooler

Dude. As a Canadian, I can confirm this:
Frost = Slippery AF.

I absolutely love your videos keep up the good work
can you plz do a giveaway of like a 2x2 or like a 3x3 meilong 3c
I feel like the frosted is nicer and grippier haha
Tbh the uv looks and feels more premium
fr i just want to sit and watch you doing solves
I def prefer uv, both for the look and the feel.
But I also feel it's s subjective matter. Also you got me, I'm subbed now lol. Nice content bro 👍
I ordered the gan 13 and the thing is: it's not the grip why I baught the UV version, but because it's shiny lol
Imagine if KADtheCuber ❤️‘s this comment
10k subscriber congratulations
UV is definitely more grippy in my opinion. At least more pleasant to hold

It is not the best, and it is way too expensive. many ppl cant afford it. and even if u take the price out of the equation, it is not the best
@@nikhilapte4782 ok bro just my opinion
@@cubed7063 ok true everyone can have their opinion.
Agreed
@@nikhilapte4782 what do you think is the best?
the frosted has a nice feel and doesn’t have any grip issues for me unless for some reason my hands are wet

So which one is more grippy? The uv or the worn out frosted?
I’d say it’s probably work out frosted

Would you say the matte finish feel more like the uv coating or the frosted plastic?
So matte is pretty much the same as frosted plastic👍
way to much money for me
