I'm pretty sure this is a midi (computer) performance, and not by Yuri Popov, as announced here. For one thing, it *sounds* like midi, not a real human. Also, it doesn't appear on Popov's website's list of his recordings; I even stumbled on a master's thesis from 2009 all about Russian prelude/fugue cycles and their performances. From the thesis: "Sergei Slonimsky's 24 Preludes and Fugues have been recorded in their entirety by [only] two Russian pianists: Nikita Fitenko on Altarus in 2000 and Sedmara Zakarian on St. Petersburg Compozitor in 2002."
Прекрасное произведение большого мастера. Тематическое и ритмическое разнообразие, лаконизм, пианистически благодарная фактура - несомненные достоинства сочинения. И огромная благодарность исполнителю за блестящее воплощение замысла автора.
Sergey Mikhailovich Slonimsky (1932- 2020). He was the son of the writer Mikhail Slonimsky and the nephew of the composer Nicolas Slonimsky. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sergei_Slonimsky
