This is Adam from East County Overlanders and i absolutely love the way you narrate and do your videos!! Another great episode. Keep up the good work and hopefully I’ll see you on the trails one day.
Nature a created thing gives you a glimpse of the personality of God and just how amazing He really is. Every time I do a trip in the woods I feel His presence all around me and so do most people they just can't recognize what it is that they are truly feeling. Great video love the music choices as well. God Bless 👍from me.😎
Verve is great coffee! My favorite local shop around Santa Cruz. I can’t seem to even start to fly my drone without crashing it. Frustrating! Great pilgrimage you captured! You are totally right how incredible it is you can be surfing the beautiful ocean in the morning and be on your way into a mountain adventure a couple hours later! Love it here!
Sorry to hear about your dad. I lost both my parents 49 days apart last year. I moved to Utah for the nature. I don't want to miss out on another second in life.
Also Brian , you Miss the best view and the biggest lava Plato that would have looked awesome with the drone. Reach out to us and I’ll be glad to take you up there . President of Outkast Jeepers .
Hey man, sorry to hear about your loss.. like you, I’ve found that spending time out in the woods gives me a sense of solitude and a much needed break to help with my mental health. I just subscribed to your channel. Looking forward to seeing your videos. - JM
Stopped by on the way home…I will share with you. Great call on the spot. Much appreciated. That’s a good point to gather for future excursions bro. Rip drone😂😂😂 I think I can rebuild it.
Man, that makes me want to revisit that area and explore some more of it. I wasn't sure how much of that wasn't burned in the fire that happened several years ago. As for the coffee, I grind my beans and use a percolator coffee pot, no instant for me, I like it good and strong. Great video as usual!
You are in my stomping grounds. I knew you were heading to Pinecrest Peak before you said it because I recognized literal trees on Herring Creek road in the video. Locals have names for the campsites. The overlook is just called "the lookout". You can see a bunch of valley towns from there at night. Also camped at the second spot with a view featured. That's a great spot as well. Views of Eagle Peak, Bear Valley, and the Dardanelles.
Too funny! I love your comment on doing the things you wanted to to do when you where 12. I was there when I was 12, (60 yo now) your in my back yard! Glad to see you enjoying it. Peace. (Nice video btw).
@@losburrosoverland Keep it up, love your videos! I grew up in a cabin up there, playing with my plastic toy boats in Pinecrest Lkae and skiing on Dodge Ridge. Im in Oregon now.
Many of those dead trees are the result of bark beetles. As the climate warms, bark beetles' populations are exploding, as less sub-freezing days means more time/opportunity for the little critters to attack trees and grow their numbers. Those dead trees burn much easier in low and medium intensity wild fires... and we're only really beginning to scratch the surface of the complexity of our conifer forests. Did you know that Beavers help mitigate wildfires as well?
@@losburrosoverlandthey create perennial riparian zones that keeps more water in the mountain creeks, streams and rivers. Riparian environments act as a buffer against wildfires.
The area he was camping is currently classified as LOW fire danger. Fires are allowed right now with a permit. Maps are available on the Stanislaus NF website.
At the time fires were still allowed with a permit. I also drowned it dead out before I went to sleep. I’m very careful with fire in these places. Thanks for watching
We're not in a draught and it's not that hot. Dense forest is a reason they're dying? C'mon. Those trees are sick. That forest is suffering from Beetle or some kind of pathogen.
That is only part of the story. I can tell that this subject means something to you and I encourage you to do your own research. It’s fascinating. Thank you for watching!
So relaxing Thank you!!! Let us know the beautiful nature 👍😍

Lovely.
Thanks Will. That means a lot coming from you. I've been following you for quite some time. Maybe I'll see you on the trail someday.

I didn't know that about beavers. Is it because they are cutting down the dead standing trees?

New to your channel - enjoying the vibe... I have the XT version of your Bush Co. 270 awning - question: what lights did you install? Thanks, man.
I just wired up some led strip lights that I got off of Amazon. Thanks for watching!
Sorry about the drone. You probably already know this but DJI has a great repair service.
It was covered under my protection plan still. Phew!
all of those trees will succumb. It will be just like entering Yosemite with large swaths where forest used to be. Now grassland
such a bummer.
Nice fire! Confirm there are current fire restrictions in the STANISLAUS NF

Yeah saw the map before i commented I guess he is outside of the moderate area barely. But damn why risk it when it’s been so hot anyway

Great trail and video.
How do you get to the trail. I would like to take family and friends on that trail😊
Download the onX offroad app and just search it up. It's right off of 108
Most of the video featured Herring Creek road and the various offshoots. Bear right at the corral, then right again at 5N31 for the lookout.
