    Just finished this pattern, and I gotta say- this is by far the handiest pattern I have ever had. The links to tutorials on stitches, and then a link to this video- it is insane to me theres not more comments here. I didnt think I was capable of making something so intricate after only doing crochet plushies. The whole time your demeanor and explainations kept me from thinking any of what I was doing was hard. I have never looked at something Ive made and gone "wow I made that." Thank you for creating such valuable tutorials for stitches and this pattern ❤️

    I am a beginner at crocheting and this is the first time I've done something other than simple wash cloths and such. I was so frustrated with myself at first but i kept trying and trying. I am so excited to show my mom and grandma, who I crochet with, this lovely bandana. ❤ They will be quick to subscribe as I have! Thank you! This was so much fun to do and you did an amazing job with this piece. Your pattern is unique and I love the texture! Also, easy to follow along, although i know i didn't do it perfectly, mine turned out so beautiful for my first time.

    My friend sent the link to this pattern weeks ago in our crochet discord where we’re trying to build up all our patterns together that we’ve either tried or want to try. I randomly decided to give it a try as my first ever bandana and I LOVEEEE the way it’s coming out!! This tutorial was super helpful also as someone who really doesn’t branch too far out of my comfort zone with crochet! I wanna make these for everyone for the holidays now 😂

    I'm reaching the end of this beautifully designed bandana. I've used different yarn and colors but boy, I wouldn't be able to remember all the rows without the video. I get that you were getting tired and made a couple of mistakes but they will be lost in the superb textures that you created. Thank you so much for this monster design. Love it❤❤❤

    I’m a beginner and I loved this project and your tutorial! I used the wrong hook at first and a heavier yarn (completely ignoring your guidance lol) and as i was following along I noticed mine had all the same stitches as yours but was incredibly compact lol, but I’m stubborn and following along with you was fun so I just kept going! when I finished, no surprise the bandana came out as a shrunk stiff version of yours and I ended up unraveling and starting over. But I had noooo problem doing that because it just meant I got to follow along with your tutorial again😊 It was really fun, it felt like I was just crocheting with my friend lol. Try number two came out perfect and I’m so happy with it ! Thank you for this bandana and the great tutorial!

    Lovely scarf! Please consider making it a full sized shawl pattern!!! Tip: please crochet slower so we can watch your work better! I know I can slow the speed down, but to slow it down makes your verbal directions too draggy and slow. Just remember when filming a tutorial, it's best to slow your stitching down so people can comprehend the verbal instructions as well as watch the stitching a bit slower. As it is, your crochet is so fast it's a blur and impossible to keep up. (Though I've been crocheting 50+ yrs and understand the stitches, I think tutorials should be slower so everyone can watch better rather than speeding through your stitches!) Truly consider a full sized shawl like this cause it is gorgeous! Maybe a CAL would be fun to do!

    • @thestitchqueencrochet
      @thestitchqueencrochet  3 месяца назад +1

      I've definitely considered a shawl!

      @DestineyRooks its probably gauge! Which I should have put in this video! You probably crochet tighter than me. Try going up a hook size or two. Here is the gauge: (with cotton yarn) 10 hdc stitches, and 7 rows ~ about 4 inches by 4 inches

    what weight yarn is best and how much yarn is typically needed?

    • @thestitchqueencrochet
      @thestitchqueencrochet  8 месяцев назад +1

      If you want a bigger bandana(it's gonna be big either way, tho, lol), use weight 4 yarn and a 5mm hook. If you want it a little smaller, use a weight 3 and a smaller hook. I suggest cotton yarn as well if you want a better drape! Less than one skein of yarn(365 yards) is needed!

  • @kimtalley8190
    @kimtalley8190 Год назад +1

    I'm on row 15 but I noticed that my bandanna is coming out heart-shaped it's not straight across the top. I suspect I need to start all over again and use a bigger hook as I may be crocheting too tight. Using 3 weight yarn and I hook

    • @thestitchqueencrochet

      Hey, Kim! That's how it comes out no matter what hook you use :)

    I’m at row 17 and my bandana is small 😢 I know my knit was too tight so I loosened it the past couple rows but it’s still too small for a full bandana lol. Would it look silly if I repeated the last couple rows until it’s bigger and then did row 17?

    • @thestitchqueencrochet
      @thestitchqueencrochet  8 месяцев назад +1

      I would definitely go up a hook size next time, but you can definitely add more rows! Repeating the two rows before the final shell stitch Row will definitely help, and I think it'll still look good :) let me know how it turns out!

      @@thestitchqueencrochetI thought I replied with a video but idk where it went lmao but it turned out greaT, I did need like 5 extra rows 😵‍💫 bc my crochet needle was super small ( this was my second ever project and my first was a stuffed animal 😅) due to so many rows the ruffles were a lot more prominent so I steamed it with my iron and added cowrie shells on the shell border to weigh it down. But I love it, and I def learned a lot from this project! Thank you!
