He wasn't even 19 he was younger, Prodigy: When I said “I’m only 19 but my mind is old” - at that time when I said that line, I was 18. In my lyrics, I used to always state two years ahead. Through action a man becomes a hero Through death a hero becomes a legend Through time a legend becomes a myth Through hearing a myth, a man takes action. I don't why I thought that related.
Good line but not true. Teens always think that just because they have gone out and done "hard" stuff or murdered people or makes them "grown up". If they were they wouldn't be out playing such stupid games, they would recognize that _they_ can actually die and avoid it. Youth may talk about how they might die and death and killing, but inside they don't really think it will happen to them, they are the best, they are to good for that, and even if it does happen they think of our more in terms of the image it will create, they don't really grasp that _their life_ will be over, or worse. So they think they are all grown and mature while every word they speak actually just reinforces how young they are. Pretty sad how they got themselves into this place.
You are not the only one! We were teenagers and did not understand what we were witnessing until 25+years later when we hear rap we realize that was greatness!!!!

I started college in 2006 until 2010, when i came in there was almost only 6ft jacked up criminals in here, came out people where 5ft slim smartphone scrolling peoples. Don't ask if it's in the food, the air, the habits whatever, something definitly changed.
@@arthurvg2217 oh mane habits also,i mean back then our parents were talkin to us kids that man needs to eat meat etc, i remember too we were stronger and more conneted to people around us
@@peeweee612 we spent time outside too, like a lot of time.
And to be clear, there were still lots of crimes but it's like the Uruk Ai are done and remains only goblins running, jumping occasionally but no more impressive dudes that make you think : if I'm gonna be in trouble with him it'd better be for something real cause I have litteraly 20% death risk on this. Same bro. I remember when I first heard it and it was like my brain blew up. I still get chills listening to it and I still bump it damn near every day and when I do it’s usually on repeat.

"I'm only 19 but my mind is older" gives me chills, dude was only 19 when he wrote one of the hardest verses of all time
He wasn't even 19 he was younger, Prodigy: When I said “I’m only 19 but my mind is old” - at that time when I said that line, I was 18. In my lyrics, I used to always state two years ahead. I did that to make it seem like we were ahead of our time - a time capsule almost. It had never been done before.
Yep that is so true rest in peace brother hnic

I always see rappers top 10 lists of rappers and prodigy is NEVER on their lists... they are fools prodigy is in contention for the title of best rapper ever imo it’s not just this verse he brought the heat every time listen to “Apostles warning” and his verse there

Everyone is praising the beat and rightly so, but the lyrics are mad menacing and come through so hard it fits perfectly with the instrumental. I've heard this beat a few times before but never with the original lyrics. It really elevates it, you feel the time of the beat.

Did Hamilton or them say it first
@@bubblydude9629 what do you think? This song was made well over 20 years before hamilton. please dont ask something like that again
