I was given up for adoption when I was born and was raised in an orphanage. I emancipated myself at 18 and joined the army. It was really the only family I have ever known. I always would give up my passes for brothers and sisters to return home for weddings, birthdays, and holidays. I always thought i had an understanding of what it felt like to embrace a son, daughter, or family member after returning home from a tour of duty, but I can see from this video I clearly didn't grasp the joy it must be to hug your son or daughter and know that they are safe. I only hope that someday if I can ever be lucky enough to have a son or daughter. That I can feel the same amount of pride in my children. I hope your son returns to you safe and thank him for his service for me.

Meeting children after they take leave from military that too after so many years is indeed a very emotional and proud moment for parents which cannot be expressed in words!
I've never known my dad in a loving way to be honest. But this is an amazing moment and God bless them both

Thank you for sharing and thank you soldier for serving !
I love how the two men who came for a meeting gave them the space and time to be with each other. Respect in it's best form! 💖
This is one of my all time homecoming videos❣️ Over the years I must’ve watched it over 25 times. I was a Navy wife for my husband’s 20 year naval career. I can relate to homecoming’s with him being at sea for six months at a time. Thank you for your service and pray that you are doing well.
❤️🇺🇸💙
We need our troops back home. No stupid endless wars anymore.
@my7571 no theyre fighting for the US goverment. Not the nation.
@Christopher Chadwick sounds good mate. This polarization will eventually tear the country apart. Maybe only vets from both sides can rescue us.
@my7571 for what?
Yeah for no reason
American people protest do anything you dont know how your goverment and you army are destroying others countries and how much people suffers especially in the middle east region
My father left this world way too soon. I see moments like this and i cry. Enjoy every second you can with the ones you love.
Thank you for your Service Welcome Home Welcome Home I cry every time I see this
Just the best of what it means to love and be loved..so heartwarming...this father could care less about crying in front of his colleagues. HIS BOY HAS RETURNED!!!
An absolutely beautiful thing!!!
I love this video. The love of a father to his son. A son, a child, a kids: the most important things on earth....👍
I think this feeling is one of the strongest in life. Imagine everyday the possibility that you might receive Someone from the army saying that your son, daughter, father, etc,. has died. And you keep waiting this message everyday... Until your beloved one knocks on your door. It's like seeing a ghost with vivid colors.
That son and dad love is something else. Congrats to this great dad!
Me when I see my father in heaven .. 20 years dad I’m older now than you ever were rip
I remember my first tour in the royal navy the first day was awful but i pulled threw 6months later on my first leave getting to see my girlfriend my mother and stepfather was the best day of my life!! My dad would never react like this. Though its beautiful to see that some fathers are able to express joy and love for their sons. Made my day, thank you!
