Travis' Huckster still remains on the coolest cars to do the run. There's something special about a shoebox with active aero thrasing around the corners as opposed to the same looking ultra slick hypersports cars everyone else seems to use.
It’s heavily modified so it has way more horsepower than the Porsche + the track is not really a track lol, if you let them run on silverstone or spa or something the Porsche is atleast 10 seconds faster
I have to say Travis and the Hoonigan team are absolutely bringing it to the world! Man that was a fast run in a custom made monster! Probably one of my top 5 favourite cars of all time.
And to think that the Solus is a pretty severely nerfed take on the in-game car it's based on. But driver of the shootout remains to be Pastrana. He never stops going flat out.
And have over 1000Hp all wheel drive and the bad time of 48sec.. Georg Plasa Bmw with 500Hp the half of nissan and rear wheel drive make it in 46.43sec at goodwood 2018 run
A bit disappointing this year, I really love the FOS, but the shootout was way to short this year, and I really missed the spectacular cars. A Les Mans Prototype, or more recent F1 car, would be really amazing.... Travis Pastranas run was REALLY amazing... would have loved to see the Audi Hoonitron...
Agreed, the delay was also very frustrating too. Stood waiting around like lemons wondering what's going on with no information isn't great organisation
It seemed that a ton of the cars listed on the entry as competing in the shootout never did. Was really weird being there as there was no warning that the shoot out batch was happening after batch 2 as the mclaren and lotus anniversary group (batch 4) should have been before but then changed to be after it. But at that point the cars for the anniversary celebrations were already being staged and moving down to the start amd it seemed to be a big hassle to get the shoot-out cars down to the line
same with Viper, germans were banning it for a decade, cause their crap manufacturers couldn't make a car to compete with a private team on 10-year old car
@@maximborodyuk3773 from what i learnt about the viper, first, they let the car race normally, they felt it was too fast, added ballast, still too quick next, restricted the that huge and powerful v10, still not enough, next, forced them to run a smaller fuel tank/cell, still not enough, then next they handed out unecessary penalties. this were all did by the governing body of the series by the way[forgot the name] and the team was penske, correct me if i'm wrong
@@TheBadBunny87 yeah if I’m correct the v10 was supposed to be used until the end but they decided introduced a rule where any car with an engine bigger than 6.2l would not be allowed to compete. So the team went back to dodge to remove two cylinders from the v10 in order to make it a 6.2l v8
@@flameburstgt6503 correct. And it was private team car against factory teams, who's obviously used their influence on governing body, so they go against their own series rules.
As much as it'll get hate from the diehard fans (as I've already seen in the comments) I have to applaud that Rimac for being the only car in this list that is just a road car - an impressive road car, no doubt - but the other 9 were all built for tracks or hillclimbs.
Top 10 except for that car that went more than 6 seconds quicker up the hill this year. A demo run argeuably quicker than the record run last year. So weird it gets hushed.
Lovely to see the rally car compete with all those racecars and supercars. The silent run of the Nevera is something else! The R-32 footage almost looks sped up. The active aero on the Subaru though!
Pastrana! Very few living legends left. VERY few. That dude jumped out of a plane shirtless with NO parachute! They fitted him with one on the way down. Ya, very few left indeed.
The world will see great drivers but will never see the best since you have to be born into the world of racing. Even Travis’s dad was a motorcycle racer
The fastest run of them all was from the Spierling at the end of the shootout but was classed as a demo. I timed it from the live stream at around 41 seconds despite lifting off near the top of the hill. Why is that not classified? The crowd all wanted to see it fly again this year so why was it sidelined this time round?
Just as theres a race against time in the video, it appears that theres a race as to who's going to be the first to post a comment in the comments section...
Goodwood coverage this year was an absolute shambles! Terrible sound quality, video that looked as though it was filmed on an iPhone 1. Interviews were ruined by awful camera angles etc etc. Im not sure what company is responsible for this but your director should be ashamed. Fantastic cars and Motorcycles though.
lol so you did not enjoy the hours of soul destroying south korean hyudai/genisis/kia rolling adverts and the million non nondescript chinese ev brands(to all of the boomers, lotus and MG are NOT british anymore but chinese state owned) that are being product dumped in europe(?!) FOS has sold out and now is a shillfest for the corporations who pay the most ' to 'advertise' their cra p cars disguised as a HiLl cLiMb run.. no one goes to goodwood to watch hyundai group to gaslight that their cars are desirable and display their entire product range..
Always wondered what an F1 made this side of the Cosworth DFV era would be able to do on this track when driven in anger. Can’t fault the drivers for not wanting to risk catastrophe but it just seems a waste to have them relegated to burnouts and free revving on a timed run.
Rate those runs 👇
10/10 😃👏
9/10👌🏻🤌🏻
Epic!
Pastrana = Number 1.
McMurtry Demo run 10/10
That Pastrana run had me smiling ear to ear all the way around. Utter beauty
...outrunning electric and F1 cars going nearly sideways!
that run was mental! 11/10
Love the active aero
Pastrana wins the "Oliver Solberg prize" award of 2023.
as soon as I saw the car
Travis' Huckster still remains on the coolest cars to do the run. There's something special about a shoebox with active aero thrasing around the corners as opposed to the same looking ultra slick hypersports cars everyone else seems to use.
love the sledgehammer to crack a nut😂
Same with the Nascar Truck that used to run, it was always one of the most enjoyable runs each year.
Agreed
the R32 Calsonic got me unprepared
great run!
Godzilla still got it
Yep. The Gran Turismo 4 Classic car doing legendary things.
Yes, a 30 year old car eating the competition is amazing
How that 30 year old R32 is still as fast a modern Porsche 911 Cup is just beyond my comprehension 🤯. It literally looks street legal.
yea its mechanical grip is something else. what great car and great run
I think it goes to show how overbuilt some newer cars are
it has twice the power with probably even lesser weight though
It’s heavily modified so it has way more horsepower than the Porsche + the track is not really a track lol, if you let them run on silverstone or spa or something the Porsche is atleast 10 seconds faster
@@Gaindalf93I don’t see how the Skyline would fail given a race track? It’s faster on the straight & the turns than those Porsches.

Pastrana wins the people's appreciation trophy with that run.
1983 scubbi on 2nd place that was impressive, definetly came 1st in my heart
Subie ?
@@ethanrbutlersome call it different things. Some say Scoobie
Pastrana 🎉🎉🎉🎉10/10.

The fact that godzilla still holds up is insane, truly the greatest AWD race platform ever.

Top TEN runs in a video that’s hardly NINE minutes long? Yep, that’s FAST! Hopefully I’ll make it out to FOS someday! Much love from Texas!
That Subaru is such a beast and Travis just goes full send loved watching it last weekend
Wow Pastrana's run was spectacular!
Nissan GTR still punching above its weight in 2023. What a machine.
this shows how fast that Nissan GTR was at the time, no wonder it got banned

Its a multi million pound vacuum
Its anything but "just a road car" lmao.
Pastrana is an absolute legend
Listen to that glorious music from the Solus! Definitely has that tone reminiscent of a great era in F1.
the fact that in 2023 still only 4 cars managed to beat that R32 and that Viper makes my inner child SO happy, these were my childhood dream cars :')
That Subaru is no joke 2nd fastest time with a 4 banger. And Travis is an insane driver 🤙🏾
The fact that Travis Pastrana’s car with roof racks is faster than race cars and a Rimac is hilarious
We all are here to watch the Pastrana run. Love that car & Pastrana.
Seeing that beautiful wagon sliding around with the Honnigan logo brought me to tears... Ken would be proud and happy Travis.
Pastrana's run is the golden standard. Superb looking, FAST and very entertaining
Love all cars, but there is something pretty special about WCR cars ❤
The fact the R32 can still hang with some of the modern high tech cars of today, is testament to the monster Nissan built all those years ago.
Really love seeing that, almost as much as looking in my garage to see 2 'Hucksters' & a unicorn EJ20 type C special.
Love the active aero on the huckster!
Pastrana's car and and driving ability was able to make his run very VERY fast while also being really entertaining.
Holy cow that McLaren V10 😮😮😮 a real factory McLaren V10, I had almost lost hope 😥
Did the McMurtry decide to let everyone else have a go this year?
Top 10 except for that car that went more than 6 seconds quicker up the hill this year. A demo run argeuably quicker than the record run last year. So weird it gets hushed.
They didn't register for timed run, only for demo.
They decided to let real cars run this year, not something that uses decades old banned and irrelevant technology. Most overhyped car ever.

These fastest cars are nice and powerful incredible interesting channel highly recommend channel.
Nice to see the Viper. Loved that car and era.
Travis Pastrana anmd the family chuckster for the win! That car is just amazing for what it is and I love it!
Rather than Charging up the hill, surely the Rimac was discharging
Having a Viper after a silent electric thing definitely brings back to life.
beautiful cars Beautiful sound😉👍
Cant imagine how fast they are atacking every corner for a few miliseconds improvement!!!
Amazing to see the Viper running so strong after all these years

nevera is only one true ROAD LEGAL production car in this list
Why McMurty does not set any timelap?
It can't demolish competition every year.
That r32 driver has BIG BALLS
That Rimac fucks off 😂

That Rimac wallows and squeals like a 1976 Cadillac Eldorado. Over weight and over here.
