I feel like commenting before I even listen: the name Mary refers to the Sea (Mar = Marine). She is the Primal Sea. Magdalene means Sea Tower, or Salt, which is reference to Wisdom. There are 3 Marys: the Mother, Magdalene, and the 3rd unnamed Mary who prepares Jesus for his death and Resurrection. They correspond to Saraswati, Lakshmi and Kali. They represent the Matter of Creation Sustainment and Destruction. The corresponding Consciousness aspects are Heavenly Father, Jesus and Satan, who are Brahma Vishnu and Rudra. Altogether they are the Holy Spirit, which is Brahman, or Maha Devi in Hinduism. This was common mythology in the ancient world and well known in all the Old Traditions, but was suppressed and forgotten in the west, but thankfully maintained in Hinduism.
And Jesus and Mary were fictional names for Simon Magus and Helen, who were 2000 year old version of Ramakrishna and Holy Mother.

There is no Christianity without Mary Magdalene. She's the witness of the risen Christ. The resurrection. Without that Jesus is still a prophet (such he is Isa in the Qur'an). This is what is Christianity as a religion.
