That is a very good video, I am now 73 ( Feb 2024) and bought my 1990 R129 as a birthday present for me when i turned 50 , it was stored for 7 years so i have taken my time over the last few months changing parts Cheshire UK weather is damp and causes all sorts of problems. The car is now ready for its yearly gov road inspection, however it developed a fault, 3 or 4 attempts to start then tries to idle at 350rpm , by tickling the throttle it increases to around 850rpm then left to its own devices will increase up to 1500 rpm. I replaced the idle control valve , same problem so today the over volt protection relay has arrived from Germany, This relay can cause these symptoms, in addition the ABS light flashed a couple of times. during low idle. We shall see .
Its a great car and i was going to take it to Thailand where i retired , but my Thai wife banned me from doing that saying it is far too sexy to drive in Thailand and girls will jump into the car . Now its nearly ready to go onto the UK road system she says she wants to drive it.
The car may yet still end up in Thailand as i am getting an old crinkly grumpy old man 😁

R129 came out in 1989 but maybe as 1990 model in US as normally you got new cars later!
