I'm curry, an ex professional valorant player who has previously played for teams such as C9 Valorant and T1 Valorant. I have also peaked rank one radiant in the Valorant ranked leaderboards many times. I'm challenging myself by taking an unranked account to radiant in the shortest time possible on every single role. I already finished Initiator to Radiant and the Controller to Radiant challenge. Now it's time for me to move on to the Sentinel role, which might possible be the hardest one yet. Valorant is the ONLY online gaming community that is babies when it comes to smurfs. When I was grinding overwatch every day I would hope I would run into a smurf so I could test myself and try to diff them. Valorant players just whine and think everyone is cheating or smurfing.

@@aspectgaming8052 Not true. Its like that in every game. Watch the vod if you don't understand at the time. If you have a smurfing jett and they look they are peeking 100 miles an hour. Maybe you'll realize that peeking angles holding shift doesn't work. Maybe crouch spraying at 50 yards while they tap strafe isn't the best. Sure if you are iron and radiant comes in your game it will just be a blow out but it will teach you more than another iron. But I'm mostly talking about the 3 or 4 max rank difference which considering how many players are in radiant and iron, that makes up the majority of smurfs. Playing against silvers doesn't make you good. In order to climb in any game you have to play better than your rank by multiple divisions. Playing against silver you get away with a lot more. If a smurf is punishing you every round for running it down mid. By the end of the game you probably wont be doing that. The point is regardless if you know at the time the only way to get better is to play against better players. At least in overwatch and other team based shooters just being a little better than your team means nothing. To carry the mass amounts of hard stuck bad players you have to hard carry and play leagues above them. Even if you are playing chess against a grandmaster you might not see what hes doing but you can see what doesnt work against good players. Better than just destroying your little brother at chess.

I was hardstuck in Gold 3 for 3 months and as soon as I ranked up to Plat I easily reached Diamond, Ascendant and then Immortal... definitely the hardest rank to get out of.
Peaked diamond last act on the way to asc now I'm back to gold cuz of the reset I stg it's so bad
@@ozhuenlxbouginsrirluhnbrtw2266if you queue with a high plat player you should be able to break out. if they have good mmr you will get plat-diamond games again considering you still have diamond mmr. that’s what i did and i’m at plat 2 rn and still get like 25+ a game

As a plat 2 player i agree that gold and plat is the hardest ranks to get out i've been trying very long to get out of platinum but teamates either trolling or mics or just doing literally nothing and making you lose the game all the time
its funny that curry is malding unbelievably hard when playing in gold when this is just our daily lives
Yall do realize that the when he was gold he was playing against only plat and dia due to his mmr right? Gold is definitely an easy rank to get out of. The smurfs there are usually just diamond shitters, and theyre really not that hard to deal with. High ascendant and low immo is worse, because some players there are boosted, or bought accounts and average a 0.6 K/D every game they play, but are still in the "higher ranks of valorant". They play like litteral silvers/gold with no gamesanse, util use, comms, positioning etc. Yet they have huge egos. Low immo and high asc is by far the most tilting elo.

as a gold 3 player (i have reached gold 3 90rr over TEN TIMES), im happy u recognize that gold is hard, i have a friend who can easily rank up from plat lobbies to diamond and hang in diamond, but he has an alt which is also gold 3 and he says its alot harder and almost impossible to rank up from, the teamates usually just wait behind A or B main just holding the angle for 3 minutes and when the round is about to end they quickly try to rush and fail

A friend of mine got out of gold literally just a few days ago. He just reached diamond 1!
I ranked up to plat in like 8 games (5 placement games for gold 2 and then double ranked up to plat after 3 games.) But that's on my alt. And I'm currently plat 3
On my main tho after like 30 games I'm still gold 2.

In gold it doesn’t matter if you drop 30 and match mvp. You’ll still lose the game because you have a minimum of 2 tms doing quadruple negative fucking ai that don’t comm.

Gold took me like a month to get out of, and it took me 2 weeks to get to diamond. Like some of that was definitely game sense and better decision making on my part but it felt like the difference in gold players skill level is way to wide.
