Oh that will be nice. It's a nice traditional and elegant place to have afternoon tea. I hope you have an amazing time. Every time I go I always stock up on the pistachio and clotted cream biscuits in the store as they're my fave. 😋
Thanks so much. I have quite a few afternoon teas to be edited and tbh some were not as great as I was expecting but I have some faves too. It was lovely to spend time with my friend but also get his opinion on what he thought about F&M along with the food and drinks. He also went with my to The Shard afternoon tea. Thanks for the ongoing support! 🤗
Hi Jos, my husband and I were in London last week, and we went to have afternoon tea at Fortnum and Mason (after seeing your review video) and I promised to let you know my opinion….we enjoyed it tremendously! It was the highlight of our short London visit. So thanks again for the recommendation!
I’m so glad you enjoyed it. It’s a lovely vibe there too. I’m glad my video helped in some small way. What other things did you manage to do while you were in London?
@@josatkin Hi! We were in London from Monday night to Thursday afternoon, and we wanted a relaxed couple of days and enjoy some good food…we wanted to see a nice view of the city, but didn’t feel like queuing for the London Eye eye, so we went to have dinner from a high; we had duck on waffles on the 40th floor of a building at restaurant ‘Duck and Waffle’ (surprisingly 😆) on our first night. With our table straight up the window! It was like dining in Manhattan - great views (once I dared to sit down)! The following day we had that most amazing afternoon tea at Fortnum and Mason (my personal highlight of the trip - thanks again for helping me making my mind up about where to have that), strolled through Soho, through Chinatown, and saw ‘The Mousetrap’ (big Agatha Christie fan) which was very nice - can’t say more…been sworn to secrecy… The day after, we enjoyed a spa morning in our hotel and made our way to the Borough Market. That was fun, and we had some nice sea food there. In the evening we had dinner at restaurant Amber. I recommend that, it had a good vibe and amazing Mediterranean food. The last day, we had limited time, we did a bus tour including lunch, on the Bustronome tour. Staff was really friendly and the food was nice. The roof of the top floor of the bus was of glass, so we had great views of the city, and even got to enjoy some sun! I would have loved to stay a little longer, but that was it! Loved every minute of it. Got home a good amount of pounds lighter and still 3 pounds heavier at the same time! 🌷🌷🌷
@@jetfromholland4533 I'm really glad my videos have helped and that you had a lovely time for afternoon tea at Fortnum & Mason. It sounds like a great trip. Anymore plans to visit other parts of the UK in the future? Did you manage to buy any treats for yourself in the store? I always treat myself to my fave biscuits - the Pistachio & Clotted Cream biscuits. Are you know I love clotted cream and I can't help myself. 😋
@@josatkin those sound amazing! I did not see those, they sound like something I would love. But I did manage to buy a nice box of biscuits, which is an image of the front of the building (the store). So now I see it every day… a nice souvenir. Last year and the year before that, we went to Ireland. We kind of fell in love with the scenery, the west coast. We stayed in Killarney at the Lake View Hotel, which also does a great afternoon tea! For the rest of this year we don’t have plans yet…and you?
lovely tea service. Question to you, why is tea in London is so expensive? I just can not imagine that british people are willing to pay that while struggling with the heat prices and inflation.
Looked fun. At the beginning of the video I thought you were served only one plate of pastries to share. Did you ask for another plate of pastries or did they present the second plate of pastries without asking? I’m sure I’ve read a few reviews of F&M afternoon tea where people complained they were only given one plate of pastries. I’m curious. Thanks.
They provided them when we had finished the sandwiches. The staff then placed the other desserts on the bottom level of the 3 tier platter, the scones stayed on the middle level and then the top level had the original set of desserts if that makes sense? 🤔🤗 You can then ask for additional refills of drink and food after that. The staff often come over to check if you would like additional items which is great. Thanks for watching! 🤗
We are on holiday in London. Yesterday, we went to Fortnum and Mason Afternoon High Tea. Our conclusion...horrible service. We were ignored and we felt unwelcome. This is a terrible experuence.
Oh that’s a real shame you had that experience at the afternoon tea. I can relate to that as I’ve been in that situation a few times last year. Hopefully it didn’t ruin the rest of your trip to London. Did you see all the London sights while you were visiting the city?
My daughter and I went to Fortnum’s for Christmas 2022. The food was just okay, but the service was abysmal. I was so disappointed, it was supposed to be a special treat 😢.

Your voice is nearly the same as the Lady from the Channel `How to Cook that`.Fascinating, and nice video. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed the video! I have you have a lovely Christmas 🤗
I would expect a foodie haven like F&M to have more interesting sandwiches. But they redeemed themselves with perfect scones.
F&M along with the Savoy & Ritz are more traditional in style and menu options compared to places like the Shard.
Looked really nice 👍👍😁
