The way I see the parable is that the manager was praised for being witty.... but the ones in the light (Christians) are not being witty enough... "For the people of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own kind than are the people of the light. 9 I tell you, use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings." So the people of the light (Christians) should use whatever blessings they get (worldly or not) to maximize the potential of sharing gospel and doing what His purpose. We should be more shrewd because we are called and chosen for His purpose. IT IS A CALL FOR ACTION.... that is how I see it.
Excellent! If we look at the con artists at the Federal Reserve banking system and a few other like the giant tax-exempt foundations like Ford, Rockefeller and Carnegie we see this Parable taking place right before our modern-day eyes. Yet preacher after preacher get their flock out in the weeds instead of telling them to be shrewd by using the intelligence God gave man to stop the sons of darkness from doing what they are doing. How? God gave us a nation of laws . Begin with the Constitution and then tell your elected Congressman and Senator to obey the law of the land which is based on God's law! ruclips.net/video/GZCZtNySgl4/видео.html
I believe the answer is in verse 13 and 15 and has to do with our position in the new covenant which is by resting in his grace as being totally forgiven children of God or by not resting by our works by mixing grace and mercy with the law which could also be described here. That is my opinion only to what the Parable's concluding message is".
Bigger context imply the story speaks of the sacrifice a person has to do to live in the Kingdom of God. The manager is willing to risk his life from his master by getting not the full amount owed. Just as the prodigal son did to return to his family knowing that he could be stoned to death at the gate for disowning his community.
The Kingdom of God is within those Born again of the Holy Spirit of God! It is Christ Jesus within Who is at work within us! :) He will lead us in the path He sees fit for us as individuals.
@@Harpazo_to_Yeshua the Lord talking to his disciples in this parable and it is also implied that those who believe in Him hear its message. It is also good to consider vv.16-18 as it ends this part of the parable. Most interpretations i heard left these verses aside.
Tonight it the first time I read it correctly by context and content. Truly the message is that the worldly peoples are sensitive and conniving for their possessions MORE THAN the people who live in the light... and although that illustrates us as weaker in some way, in the way that we are more prone to an attack, God is visible of the holiness beyond actions - whether appearing good or selfish.
The rich man is God. The manager is those who manage God's affairs here for God. (the jews) Jesus is accusing the jews of being friends of the world and they are about to be replaced. As usual, they don't like what Jesus is saying and so set out to look after themselves in this world. The new covenant, replacing the old. So the wise jews become friends with the world by using money.

Jesus is King
Why is it so difficult to say ( I didn’t understand it my self ) because the answer had nothing to do with the question .
How do you interpret the parable?
