Thank you Wendy! I really enjoyed this project. One of my faves! :-D
Use an 8 oz can for the smaller hat. It will work better for sz proportion against the lid part. These are adorable....I love snowman hats!!!! ❤❤☃☃🎩🎩
This would be really cute with the bottom side down and an open can that you can fill with Christmas goodies!
Too cute!
Thanks so much Yolanda! :-)
love this hat will put it on my list for next year
Thanks Martha. That's great! 🤗
Could you drill a small hole in the center of the can and put the knot for the hanger inside, before you glue the bottom on? These are absolutely adorable! Great job.
Yes, I thought of that, but not in time, lol.
Very nice. Very creative. Will definitely try👍🏼
I love them they look awesome😊👍
If you kept the plastic lid to the can you could paint the lid put the lid right side up and put cookies inside for your self or a present. Such a cute idea you had. I want to do some. I love snowmen. Too cute! Tomato sauce can would be smaller can at walmart.

I love this idea of a miniature snow hat 💖 one quick tip for the fallen snow use Epsom salt and mod podge once it dries seal the Epsom salt with another coat of mod podge 👍

Oh it looks adorable 😍
Love this!
So cute to put on my little sock snow man 💘
Love this. I think I am going to try both sizes but I am going to try using a nail to punch a hole in the can to thread the cord through with the knot on the inside for the ornaments. In the past when I just used a glue gun on such hangers they fell off pretty fast. Maybe E6000 for that part. They are so cute and I like that they are repurposing metal cans to be something useful. I plan to make a big one as a frosty hat for my grandkids to see when they visit. Thanks for the video!
Thanks so much Jennifer! I'm really glad you liked this project. Yes, I thought of the hole in the top, but I thought of it too late, lol. I hope your grandkids love it. Happy crafting friend. :-)
love them !!
Thanks so much Gloria! :-D
They are both so adorable I absolutely love them
The Snow Text is great stuff to use. WalMart used to sell it but not sure if they have it in your area. You could also use joint compound or spackle that you use to cover up holes in your walls made by nails used for hanging pictures. Glob it on and maybe sprinkle some white glitter on it before it dries. Love the hats and especially the ornament size! Great ideas!!
Joint compound!! OMG Great idea!! Thanks so much! :-D
Totally love the idea of the snowman hat.I got my stuff together and tomorrow start making one.Thank you so much for showing how to make it and the subtitles are great.bless you xxxxxxxx

+Peaceoutpets Thank you so much and a very merry Christmas to you! 🎄
I'm upcycling cans so this is perfect. Thanks!
For the spray snow look if you have a small paint brush dip it into the white paint and hold it up above the project or at the side and lightly flick it and then you can make bigger spots where ever you see fit
Thanks for the tip Emily! I'll give that a try. :-)
OMG! I love it! I've been collecting a bunch of cans from Thanksgiving and I wanted to turn them into something as DIY but I have no idea what to do with them till now. I'm going to make a bunch of top hat ornaments for Christmas!
That is so great! Happy crafting my friend! I hope you have as much fun as I had making mine. :-)
I really like this project, so cute! You could water down the white paint a little and splatter with a tooth brush for the snow.
Great suggestion! I might give it a try. Thanks so much! :-)
Love this! Thx!
Yvw! Happy crafting my friend! :-)
Very Cute!💜
Love this project. There are several things you can do to make fake snow, but one of the best that will last for an ornament is to take a 1/4 cup of salt (I use Sea Salt from a grinder) and talcum powder or flour or baking soda. Mix the two ingredients together. Apply glue to the areas you want the snow to appear and sprinkle the mixture over it. Allow to dry then turn upside down to remove excess "snow." If you want more "snow," apply more glue on top and then apply snow mixture again. Repeat as desired. The salt crystals add amazing sparkle and once you've reached your desired level of snow, spray lightly with a mix of Elmer's Glue mixed with water. This type glue is used for train dioramas, etc. Good luck. Oh, and it's CHEAP to make! Plus, you can keep it on hand in a container for future use.
That's an awesome tip! Thanks so much Leah! I want to try that!! :-D
GREAT IDEA, THANKS
Great idea
For the snow, you could try "dry brushing " the white paint on &/or flicking it on with a toothbrush. I think that would work.
Just love them. What a GRAND idea😁 Thank you so much for sharing.
I really like them pretty
Thank you so much Connie :-)
Very sweet! You are very clever!

+Barbara Napravnik Thanks so much.

That's awesome! Happy crafting friend! :-)
Thank you so much, you have given me an excellent idea for what to do with my small diced chili pepper cans, and lord knows I have plenty of canning lids around here. It just seems like there is a canning project going on in my kitchen every weekend the closer I get to Christmas with all of the jam and jelly requests I get from our family members. Right now I have Cinnamon Apple juice cooking up in the slow cooker getting ready to be jelly tomorrow (a new one for me, made from Apple peels & cores), it smells so good. I think I am going to make one of the bigger hats as well since I saved some big cans I had from a canning session a couple of months ago, I just love giving homemade gifts to my loved ones. I am so excited, Thank you again.
So glad this was recommended to me. I Absolutely Love this, it’s so Beautiful!! ⛄️😍⛄️Thanks so much for sharing 😃
