I have a great idea for this box for those that can’t find the lighted tree. What you do is purchase 2 of the tree pictures you are using for this. Glue one to the back of the box, then cut out the tree image from the second one and glue it on to a stiff piece of cardboard and cut around the tree image again. Then glue pieces or cork, foam, cardboard, etc.. to the back of the image. Anything that will make the tree stand out from the background image and will allow you to hide the light string under. Then poke holes in the tree pic where you would put lights on a tree. Then poke them through (but not all the way) only enough to see some light. Tape or glue the cords to the back of the tree and/or background to hide them. Then glue or tape your tree 🌲 to the background right over the background tree or even a little off to the side to make it look like several trees. You can also add tiny ornaments to the tree and background to give the whole box that three dimensional look. It really turn out GREAT! HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE! ⛄️🦌🎅🏻🤶🏻
I just love the shadow box and everything else you make. You are so creative and so talented. I have made so many of your crafts and here is another one I definitely have to make.⭐💖
OK, now I'm obsessed. Just finished the 10th one. I used mostly Christmas cards as the back grounds so there is a scene in back. One is children looking in toy store window on the back wall then I "fussy cut" (if you quilt you know the words) more children and put them closer to the front of the box so it is 3D. I cut a tree in half and put on the side - decorated with a glitter that makes it look like Christmas balls. Wish I could post a picture, really cute.
Thank you for not blabbing about everything but the project. You are a breath of fresh air in the crafting video world that is SO ADORABLE. Im serious. You win the best craft award. Love it so much. I know itz 2019 but im hopin i can find the trees. I need to make a dozen for gifts.
Boy u come out with real nice DIY’s I learn a lot from u and when I make them I give them away to friends and family , I know they r going to love this as a gift from me to them. So thank u so much for the idea .
You can put snow on snowman hat. You can add an extra hole on bottom to reach tree switch. Also you can use the plug from the snowman to put into cut hole to protect from tin w/o having to use tape.
What a cute idea! Can't wait to try this. It would look cute and cozy on a shelf, a mantle or on a night stand. What a wonderful craft for the Holidays or beyond! Thanks for sharing.
My granddaughter and I made these this morning. We love them! She's only 10 and this was super easy, so she was able to do her own. I just worked the glue gun. She is very proud of it! Thanks for the idea.
So simple and cute, my head is spinning with ideas. I have a few extra light sets. And alot of miniture ornaments and things to place in there. They could be themed, like Nutcracker suite, Disney, Fairies, Santa n Elves, Christmas time Disney princesses. Or trucks n road equipment for boys, Santas workshop at the North Pole. Thank you much. I subscribed very recently.
Job detail was great .very nice detail .love the fact u weren't happy with the snowman top holes , this is what we like to see all in the details , I encourage, -supply rechargeable duracell......they last for years .
If you find that removing the lid to turn the tree on and off is difficult, then steer away from this craft. It takes 2 seconds to remove the lid. If you leave the battery pack inside the box, it takes up entirely too much space! It will make the 'snow' in the bottom of the box lumpy, uneven, and won't allow for very many decorations. If you glue the tree down, then you cannot change the batteries later. I made 3 of these boxes before I settled on a method for the video. I do things for a reason.
This Southern Girl Can first time watching your show. Love this project! Gives me an idea to do with my grandsons! Thank you so much, for sharing this. I have also subscribed to your posts. Merry Christmas and God Bless!
Just watched your video awesome, made this with my granddaughters the only thing I did different is put tape on the wires that way I still can use my hot glue gun. Thank you for sharing and God bless
Great craft idea!!! I see many being made in my future!!! All with different themes!!! Easter, Halloween, Christian themed, etc... Your genius has sparked the flame of my imagination!!! Thank you!!!
Awesome❤️❤️❤️❤️I am definitely going to make one of these for all 11 grandchildren! Thanks so much for sharing your creativity with all of us! Hugs from Fl😘
Really cute together and great job on the shadow box with the Christmas tree and snow man too thanks for your time and effort I really admire your work
This southern Girl Can * Hi from Nova Scotia, Canada.I just have an idea for covering those holes on the salt and pepper shakers take some fake holie and leaves and glue them on ,it's just an idea, love your video and thanks for sharing.😇
Oh my gosh, this is so cute. When I look into the box at the tree changing colors it reminds me of the movie, "How the Grinch Stole Christmas". The part where everyone hold hands and sings.
I love this. I had no problem with using a regular hot glue gun. I just let the glue cool a tiny bit before putting the wire on it. I also added a loop of ribbon inside the lid to easily remove the lid. I also picked up the color version of the lights and they are so much better. I’m going to paint the white ones blue to tone them down. I also chose to use fabric for the background and cut out pictures from Christmas cards to create the background. I put some of the lights under the snow and the lumps look like snow hills. Thanks!!
I just made one I had to use card board for the back I just covered it with white Felt it turned out so cute going to give it to my Mom for Christmas 2018. I learned about your Channel from another DIY Lady that recommended you. GREAT JOB VERY BEAUTIFUL CAN'T WAIT TO DO ANOTHER ONE. YOUR THE BEST
You go girl just beautiful and the way the weather up I think it is time start. This would be grat for my sons who decorate for christman a few of these will work
New here to your channel. I was looking for an easy craft to do in my monthly coffee and craft with me with my six best friends and this will be the one I’m going to do for December. Thank you so much! This is just darling I think the ladies will love it.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I had one of the boxes and just knew I could make something and you gave me that push I needed. The only difference in mine is that I put the wire out the front and didn't cut any holes. then I glued the wire around to the back and glued on the battery pack.
awww that is precious and you can actually put any type of background to be able to use it year-round how awesome, thank you so much for sharing, God Bless you and yours

I would love to create a Christmas scene like yours, but I'll have to use a shadow box frame. Thank you for the great video, love from Amanda in Australia xoxo 🙂🦘🐨❤
