Hi ! About those frogs, look up "Pounce Pot", I think they belonged to an antique desk set, to hold pounce powder. Pounce powder was an antique desk-office supply, sometimes made of ground cuttlefish bone, used to settle and blot ink, to make sure your letter was REALLY dry before you folded it up....the powder would quickly soak up any secret still-wet spots. About that Pottery Scarab, I have a similar one! (OK mine is bigger and not obviously hollow, but pottery for sure with a vivid turquoise glaze) I have had it for at least 25 years, and it was thrifted. my best guess is that it is either a paperweight made as a souvenir right after Tuts tomb was discovered,, or later than that, in the 40s-50s-60s or 70s. It seems mold-made, like NOT one of a kind...so I keep thinking I will find another one or see another one, but yours is the first OTHER one I have ever seen!
