You can change the water heater gas valve without opening the water. Theres a screw on the bottom and the face comes off, then theres a screw and the actual valve comes off.
Bring your straight edge 6" machinist rule, dial gauge with magnetic base and some assorted shim stock to align the pump to the motor so the new coupling inset does not self destruct.
Good vids man. If you include a timestamp with 0:00 in the description (e.g. "0:00 Intro"), it will show the different chapters on the timeline of the video
In old cities like New York , Philadelphia , Chicago , St. Louis , Boston, Baltimore, Detroit and I could list another two dozen older cities. Landlords will get the last dime out of a piece of equipment & wiring before modernizing and then it’s on a triage basis . Europe didn’t really start wiring homes until the late 1920 to 1930s far behind the United States at that time. The 1904 worlds fair in St. Louis was completely electrified (the electrical contractor that wired the world’s fair “Guarantee Electric “is still in business today). So your statement would be like me looking at a 1954 MG /TD & saying “you wire your cars that way? “ 😂.
Are big boilers still preferred over 2 or 3 redundant tankless boilers in series. I used to fix boilers at my last job and they were well due for replacement. I can’t imagine the are more then 75% efficient.
Hello, I'm a new subscriber. Do you have a video about your work, what is your specialization, where do you work, why do you work with metal, do you work with copper? It would be interesting to hear that about you. Of all the USA RUclipsrs, you are the best, you speak very well and politely. I like you very much. Thank you.
Hey bro i just discovered your channel and thanks for showing the stuff you do, also what kind of books do you recommend for beginners? I'm an apprentice plumber but wanna expand my skill set and learn about the more technical stuff you do, any advice is appreciated
Water heater elements is a fun one up until you get the element that wants to be a dick head and get stuck in the tank then you're scrambling around while water is dumping out.
US electrics and boilers are wild, though fair play I couldn't imagine fixing an euro equipment that had sat in 4 foot of water.
We don’t.
15:25 Hey I just got into commercial heating and gas. I love and need this Shhh. Keep it up brother!
I'm impressed, damn good job on all your calls

Your multimeter sure earns it's keep with all the crazy electrics!
No waste of time, Well done Bro!
I'm watching this from Europe. Is this the usual state of electrics in the USA ? 😲

Always bring your meter to every call!! That’s union 101!
couldn't agree more, especially a good meter!
Man, you're like the boiler doctor.. Good job with that gas valve swap. Still can't get over that amount of water..
Thanks you always brother! Yea it was a fun day, I’m surprised more didn’t get damaged down there
Need a cranberry vodka to accompany the soundtrack.

The music was fine. Just mixed a bit loud
11:18 - so the wire worked itself out of the nut? All on its own? The 70v would be ghost voltage that would be invisible to a LowZ meter.
I did attempt one bleeder replacement with the water on. The radiator had air. I got hot water all over me.
U need a 3/8 and 7/16 combo wrench for thermocouples
50 apartments 😮. Oh noooo, what we gonna do.

The editing is wild 😅 wtf is even going on
Did that hot water heater fall over or was it laid down by hand? Was it glass lined?
I believe it was “laid” down by hand lol, I’m pretty sure I remember it being like that the last time I was in the boiler room

Manufacturer literature and code books.
Maybe the pump coupling destructed because they ran the pump with the valves shut
totally possible, not sure why the disconnect was on if the valve was closed but thats above my pay grade lol 🤦🏼♀️
music is a bit loud at time and hard to hear what you're saying
thank you for the feedback brother! i will work on it
What was the blue piece you put on te boiler.
It's a diagnostic control
👍👍
